We have been customers at next for many years but after our last experience we will not be going back. We were treated horribly and when my wife sent private feedback to Chef Blackie he proceeded to abuse her on messages he sent back. If anyone is interested I can send you the messages to read. After reading all the comments on here I fully expect to see a passive aggressive, condescending and rude reply from Chef Blackie!!!

I think this place is pretty overrated. We got the tasting menu where they won't share what is on it ahead of time but told us it is different from the menu and that the chef makes different dishes for each of the tables. Instead all we got were dishes mostly off the menu and all of them unremarkable despite their gimicky fancy language to describe them. Many culinary "rookie" mistakes were made as well. The mushrooms on toast was so dry and needed some sort of sauce to bring it together and all the tiny mushrooms were just rolling off the toast making it really annoying to eat. The chowder was watery yet overly salty, the salad had barely any flavour, the tartare was not well balanced as it tasted too much of the grainy mustard mixed in which was also served on the side, the scallops were seared only on one side, the lemon curd was pretty much frozen and tough to cut into, and the creme brulee was essentially liquid. The list goes on and on so I find the $200+ bill for two people outrageous. It's clear they are focusing on the profit margin without much regard to properly executed food. There are better restaurants in Ottawa at this price point. I don't get why the reviews are high.

My husband and I visited NEXT as part of a collaboration ( @agata_and_warren_travel) We were so impressed with the whole experience! First of all, the location of the restaurant is so convenient. Right in Kanata with plenty of free parking. We explored the Sunday brunch tasting menu, offered in five waves. There were too many dishes to list, but some of our favourite were the beef, the shrimp, and the cauliflower. Chef Blackie is absolutely brilliant at combining different influences from his travels to create a truly spectacular menu. Moreover, he immediately makes every guest feel at home. No one is ever rushed at NEXT. You come as a customer but you leave as a friend. We cannot wait to go back!

Great food and ambiance. The dining room is lively but not too noisy. All the dishes came fairly quickly and were delicious. I especially liked the texture of the papaya salad, and you can’t go wrong with their cheese curds. Servers were knowledgeable and so friendly. The meal was well priced for the experience we received. I look forward to dining here again!

This is our 3rd time doing the Blind Sharing Menu, 9 dishes with lots of time to digest and enjoy. We love the surprise of the spectacular menu. The presentation is amazing. Every server we've have had was able to describe the dish in detail, chef Blackie also made an effort to come and provide more info about the dish and tell us a story about which country he got his inspiration from. I don't think I could eat for a few days after .. so full. Its not just a dinner out its an experience. ENJOY!!

Had a great meal as always at NeXT. The kitchen was a little slower than usual as they had just started a new menu… well worth the wait tho. Three of us had the chefs table with two apps to share then the mains were an awesome selection of roasted duck, chicken schnitzel, Icelandic cod. We finished off with three sweets to share.

This is a great restaurant to visit. I would recommend the price fix menu where you pay and get dishes in different waves. All the dishes presented were well plated and delicious and the portions were perfect. I had just enough room for dessert at the end and was satisfied with my dining experience. I recommend this restaurant for great food and a great atmosphere. Food may be a bit pricey but it’s worth the money. Our server was great as well and food came out in a timely manner.

This restaurant is a gem in Ottawa. A little out of the way but worth the drive the food and service are both phenomenal. We ordered the fried cheese curds, it was so light and crispy. The kale salad was full of flavors. The steak was prepared perfectly. All and all great experience.

I was seeking out a restaurant to celebrate with my co-designer on a project we worked on and I discovered NeXT. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were greeted with a lively atmosphere and very pleasant staff. We decided to order the 9 course tasting menu in hopes to sample what the restaurant had to offer. When the first dish was set on the table I knew we had made the right choice! All the food that was brought to the table was magnificent and I can't recommend the fried cheese curds enough. I will definitely be visiting NeXT again to try some more of their marvelous food.

To be honest, we had a party there last year and the food and service were awesome. This year, the food was not even good. Duck salad was flavorless and dry, and the beef entre was dry. Some of the appetizers were good, but the rice rolls were cut into 1 inch by 1 inch and without sauce, so it was just eating plain vermicelli. I was so disappointed. I'm not sure if there was a change in chef or trying to cut cost. Last year, my friend was glutten-free and he was provided with a plate of glutten-free appetizers...this year, the server said you get whatever we bring out that is glutten-free... cauliflower in wing sauce.

We have been to NeXT a few times. We really enjoy going there for a double date without the kids. Everything we go We have a wonderful time. The servers are very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely spectacular. Even if the menu seems out of your comfort range, I would strongly suggest trying the sharing option. The food is very approachable. The flavors are not so exotic that you need an incredibly refined palate to enjoy them. This is easily one of our favorite places to go for our adult night night.

Tasty food, fine wines, wonderful ambience, friendly staff, great chef and owner. What more do you want? Oh yes, you would also appreciate strictly enforced safety measures such as social distancing, masks policy, contact tracing, as well as online menus, patio dining and takeout options.

We took in the Turkey Takeaway and were thoroughly impressed. Not cheap, but for good reason. Everything was amazing. Turkey was wonderfully seasoned, tender and juicy. The gravy was to die for. Veggies and potatoes done to perfection. To cap it all off, the apple crumble dessert had us all in heaven. Well done chef Blackie. We'd do it again.

Horrible customer service! Tried to place an order for the turkey dinner special and the owner wouldn't accept any other type of payment other than credit card. I had the ability to pay via etransfer or in person and the owner just said ok cancel your order there are a lot of other people interested and rudely hung up. This place obviously caters only to the rich who have credit cards and not single parents who need to pay with other means. I won't be going to this restaurant.

Came here for brunch for my sisters birthday and they did not disappoint! We were a group of 9 and everyone was extremely pleased with the sharing brunch board. The boards were full of delicious surprises both sweet and savoury that accommodated everyones taste buds. Best of all we had the absolute best service, our server Greg or Craig kept a watchful eye on our bottomless mimosa glasses. He was pleasant, speedy and polite throughout the whole brunch service. We will be back for sure!

Have always and will always be a huge fan of NeXT and Chef Blackie and his awesome team! For years at the restaurant and now during covid takeout nights! Incredible food, prepared with skill, a unique fusion approach, delectable seasoning, unending team energy, and using wonderful fresh ingredients. Missing seeing Chef Michael and his team at work in the restaurant -- and look forward to many more visits! Fran & Gio

I love this place, service is top notch, staff friendly, and they do some amazing events. Do what you can to support them, they are awesome. What’s more, is during the pandemic they are doing their best to keep people safe who visit... for me I will do take out until covid is over. Best wishes.

I think this place is overhyped. The food wasn't anything spectacular. Our favourite was the tempura cheese curds with the maple sriracha. The mains (prawns and scallops) were seasoned so strongly that you can't actually taste the seafood. I think the place suffers from being too fancy. The best example of that is with the waffles. The sauce was gritty. To make it even more disappointing, waffles were crumbly and dry. At least the Dark and Stormy was good.

Best place to go on a date that your really trying to impress. Romantic beautiful place, if you take the shared tasting menu you will try the most popular dishes so your guaranteed to enjoy, both times I went different menu & enjoyed it just as much. Shared menu takes a bit of time, you will probably be there for 2 hours, great spot to talk & get to know that lucky someone while impressing them as well

Will definitely not be going back!! Not worth it at all. If you get drinks expect to pay about $300 for two people. The food was cold and very disappointing. The service was even worse. The presentation of all the food was very awful. When I made reservations for 6:45 today I mentioned it was my boyfriends birthday and asked for a cake/dessert with candles. Instead for dessert we literally get a bowl of melted rum raisin ice cream and another awful bowl of two coconut balls in some creamy sauce that was not appealing. Then a couple minutes later our server comes back with a plate of mint m&ms and a piled of smashed ones with a candle inside. I was so embarrassed and disgusted. I didn’t like how she had a strong cigarette smell as well. Very disgusting and not professional at all. It took three hours to eat and get the bill due to awful service. Will not be coming back and overall very very disappointed!! Especially considering I came all the way from Tennessee and wanted to take my boyfriend to a nice restaurant for his birthday.

Have dined at NeXT several times over the years either from birthdays, staff dinners or weddings. Chef Blackie never fails to give the most welcoming and fun experience. I love doing the blind sharing menu they offer because everything is just so delicious and I’m able to try a bit of everything. Recently took my picky husband here for his birthday and happy to say he loves dining here as much as I do.

Excellent. The salad was absolutely incredible, yes, a salad! The baguette cheese was a great compliment to the salad. Halibut was meaty and a good portion. Aged beef was delicious with an ample serving. Crème brûlée and MCB was a great way to finish the meal. Cherry bourbon was a great cocktail. Service was amazing. Just go and enjoy.

We came to NeXT for the 9 course Valentines menu and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. First of all, Marshall is one of the best servers in Ottawa, hands down. Love him!! And of course we can’t say enough about the chef who prepared an incredible menu for the evening. We’re both relatively picky and enjoyed every single course. Honestly if you’re looking for a luxurious date night you should try NeXT!!

Loved the atmosphere and of course the food was fantastic. Service was attentive and friendly, especially when you've got Michael Blackie dropping off a few dishes to the table. Great selection of dishes, full of flavor and beautiful presentation. Wish I had taken pictures but I was too busy enjoying the experience.

The service was impeccable, and the food was great as well. NeXT serves sharing plates, so the idea is to get some of everything and distribute among everyone at your table. Optionally, you can order a blind taste test and leave your meal to the chef. In our case, we requested a vegetarian meal, which the chef was more than happy to accommodate. We got a 4 course meal, all of which was delicious. Would go again, but probably during brunch.

The service and food are absolutely excellent, the chef is absolutely amazing to get to talk to and just amazing overall atmosphere and experience, highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was absolutely amazing. Generous servings. Waiter was friendly and took the time to explain how the sharing plates worked, etc. We will be back. Our only complaint was that we were seated in the bar (last minute booking) but what we didn’t realize is the bar opens into the party room and there was a birthday party with people speaking into a loud microphone the entire meal. We will be booking in advance next time to avoid this, but restaurant owners should look into fixing this or at least warning people who call and book.

I've been here a few times and the food is always top notch. The last two times I went I had the brunch board, which was outstanding, and the blind tasting menu at dinner. In both instances I was provided a wide variety of dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. Fair warning, if you order either of these, bring your appetite! While certainly not a cheap meal, for the quality of food you get the prices is pretty reasonable. It always worth checking at Costco as they usually have discounted gift cards!

I went for lunch with my coworkers just before Christmas, the food was absolutely delicious, and the Dark and Ginger stormy was the perfect holiday drink to share. Our server Marshall was wonderful. Our favourite dishes were by far the deep fried cheese curds, squid, scallops, and of course the dessert platter. Overall it was a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 cindy 4 years ago on Google
I've been a couple times and each time the service was wonderful. Food was amazing. Our brulee was overly torched (semi burnt) but they brought us a new one right away. The table beside us had some kind of issue but they dealt with it immediately and even gave them complimentary shareable fries. Hiccups happen, but it's how you handle it, and they handled it with class and professionalism. I'll definitely be back. Well done everyone :) very impressed.

Second time. Did the blind tasting menu the first time. Ordered off the menu and shared the second time. Both times every dish was outstanding. Nice use of a diverse culinary background to offer some innovative dishes. Local craft on tap. Will go again.

Posted circa Feb 2020- Have been here at least five times. In the past we were pretty happy with the experience. This time it lost some of its charm. Perhaps the food was subpar because there was a group in one of the halls which may have taxed the cooks....not sure.....Dishes ordered, Salt + Gochugaro Humboldt Squid, tempura fried cheese curds, shrooms +XO sauce on toast, braised shank of lamb. Fried cheese curds best item we ate, however simple in concept. Shrooms on toast, not much different than cooking shrooms at home with a dash of worchestershire sauce, pepper and salt etc, they seemed salty to me, nothing special. Humboldt squid with baby bok choy was tender however the dish did not inspire and the breaded squid tasted of slight burn. The lamb shank was tender but did not inspire us...tasted somewhat akin to roast beef with mashed potatoes with a somewhat overpowering sauce. For $33.00 there wasn't much on the plate...that said there wasn't much on any plate. I feel that when an average sharing plate is $15 and up either there should be a decent amount of food or the if the portion is small, then the flavors should be complex enough to make you say "wow"...there wasn't any of that.... Lastly, it was a bit annoying trying to share the plates. The presentation on the plate is acceptable but try taking anything off of the plate and it turns into a mess on your plate. You basically end up dumping dissected portions on to your plate. I would be hard pressed to desire to return to Next anytime soon based on our last of five visits to this restaurant.

Did take out for four at cost of approx. $150 with 18% tip. It was an Asian inspired menu. Was very disappointed with taste of egg drop soup. It was very very sour to the point it was off putting. Rest of meal was good but comparable to the local Chinese restaurant. Although, the Chinese restaurant would have been cheaper. Dessert was good but they forgot to include the second dessert. Instead I believe they gave us extra soup.

We had a special request for a vegan tasting menu. The chefs did not disappoint. Course after course of delicious and beautifully prepared food. All this while working under the added pressure of covid-19 restrictions. Amazing work and thanks to Chef Blackie and all the staff for a truely amazing meal.

Had heard a lot of good things about this place and I must say I was really disappointed. The cauliflower was too salty and soggy. The chicken was chewy and too greasy. I honestly feel like I ate a cup of grease. It's really too bad as I had high hopes for this place.

Still No Response Bad Customer Service!! Not like the first time!! The first time we went to NeXT was an amazing experience. The food was 110% Service Top Notch and Drinks were great. Second "Ball Dropped" 30-40% Called for reservations and made clear Nothing under cooked and everything pasteurized. Wife is Pregnant . Did not ask to take our Jackets . Forgot to see it was our anniversary on entry, Did correct after 15 min . White wine not chilled or tested . The salad came with Feta Cheese witch she cant have! Way to much Vinegar . Bread with Mushrooms was good but both sides bread Hard burnt not soft . Steak Raw wife is unable to eat, was remade and served. Head chef face disappointed . Coffee had no kick Great atmosphere, Good music, Over a 5 months with this review up they never contacted us. I guess that shows the service!

We went for the tasting menu and I was worried portions would be small, but there's plenty of food! Dishes were a hit or miss. Some were delicious others weren't that great, which is quite disappointing considering the price we're paying ( around $80+ per person including gratuities) Service was friendly but I just wish the food was more consistent

Wonderful meal, love the sharing concept. Wife and I went for date night on a Sunday, and it was not too busy at 6:30-7:30. We shared two of the tasty apps, and one of the main options. Totally amazing food (we had the tartare, the cheese curds and the confit duck leg), and we were full after that. The sharing worked well for us. Might be less approachable for our little ones. We'll definitely go back for another date night!

My Fiancé and I went in on Feb 16th for a nice post-valentines day dinner. We tried the 9 course tasting menu and were pretty disappointed. One of the courses was literally 2 pieces of cauliflower. At one point we were brought out 4 pieces of squid which we noticed right away didn’t taste fresh and was overly salty (probably to cover up how the squid wasn’t fresh and was rubbery). Immediately after the squid dish we both started to feel rumblings in our stomach. We tried to pass it off as something else but we realized after we paid our $220 bill that we got 2 measly pieces of cauliflower and food poisoning. We both were sick for the past 2 days since our visit. I want to say that for that $220 bill there was only 1 glass of wine and some sparkling water. I feel sad to write this as the atmosphere in the restaurant was quite nice and our server was nice. We just don’t feel like the quality of food we received wasn’t up to par for the price and reputation of this establishment. Food poisoning is a definite no go for me.

First and last time. Poor service. Poor quality of the food. We went for brunch and the portions were very small and the food not tasty at all. Not worth 35$ each. They should come to Montreal as we have better standards in terms of food. Even the bathroom was disgusting.

We celebrated my fiancée’s birthday this evening and had the pleasure of being served by Marshall. He was extremely personable, knowable, and kind. We enjoyed speaking with him and had a wonderful rapport. (Congratulations on finding something in your field!) We ordered a bottle of wine and were served promptly along with the recommendation of ordering the blind tasting menu. My pescatarian dietary restriction was accommodated easily. First course was brought out by the head chef himself and expertly described. Originating from Oakville, Chef and my fiancée found that they had something in common! The remaining courses were brought out in a timely manner and were absolutely delicious! The food was flavorful, dynamic, and extremely unique! We savoured and enjoyed every bite! Our experience was made even more special at the end of our meal when Marshall joined us in taking a celebratory shot to celebrate my fiancé‘s birthday! We are hosting our wedding rehearsal dinner at NeXt in a few months and cannot wait to taste more of Chefs creations and share the absolutely fantastic food and ambiance of NeXt with our family and friends! Bravo! Looking forward to returning!

Could not wait to write this review after our 9 course Valentines dinner (so did it from the table). It was SO good. And we aren’t the type to write google reviews. But it would be a shame if the world didn’t know that this restaurant was the best place to take their taste buds for some self care. Not into good food? Then maybe you like amazing cocktails, fantastic wine lists or incredible one-of-a-kind service (shout out to Marshall). If you don’t like any of those things then I don’t know how to help you.

What a brunch ! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We crushed two brunch boards and the food was awesome. Crème brûlée, chocolat mousse, cauliflower tempura, miniature pancakes, beef brisket with polenta, fruit soaked in Grand Marnier.... and more! If you come to the west side of Ottawa this is a must eat location!

Food was great but service was mediocre. Service was slow and our table had empty glasses for over 20 minutes before our waiter checked on us. Also was unfortunate to see one of the male waiters (middle aged overweight with a moustache) going to the female server and caressing her back in a suggestive manner throughout the night. Gross. Get a harassment policy.

We have been ordering pickup food from this restaurant for some time now. It is yummy and worth the 14 minutes drive from home. We also had the Christmas dinner, and enjoyed the leftovers for a couple of weeks. Last weekend we ordered Italy - Global Tables @ Home and made two fabulous meals out of it. Looking forward for the France version, as well as the Mexico one.

We just did their Global Tables Italy. It was my wife's birthday and so I was the cook. I felt like a superhero, finishing and plating beautiful, delicious, creative dishes. It was amazing, and such a great way to get that excellent food, hot and freshly cooked under the constraints of takeout. Congrats to Next on this great offering!

Super amazing, fun New Year’s Eve experience! We ordered for two, and enjoyed working our way through each course. Loved that cocktails and wine were included. So enjoyable to watch the video segment first, take turns prepping and then enjoying the results. Very tasty Dark & Stormy cocktail, yummy Canapés. Each course took us on a different flavour and texture journey. So well organized and easy to follow.

Just did the Global Tables Thailand take home dinner for two, was absolutely amazing, delicious. Super easy to do and the video guide was informative and fun. This is my second Global Table - my company surprised us with the first one as a thank you - made for an amazing date night.

We ordered the 2020 New Years eve dine at home dinner. What an amazing experience for us to do. All the food was portioned and easily labeled for us to prepare at our leisure. It was fun to make and very good to eat. We were full before the dessert. We definitely will be enjoying the dine @ home service in the future and highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Blackie and the people at NeXT restaurant for making the start of 2021 exciting for us.

We first discovered NeXT because they had a deal on gift certificates at Costco, but we haven't stopped going since. The restaurant is beautiful (it will be home to my next big celebration) and the service is great. They've pivoted during COVID and their Global Table Series is AMAZING! Lots of other fine dining places are doing take-home menus, but the food doesn't compare to what you'd eat in the restaurant. The GTS IS the same quality with minimal work of our own. Blackie's video makes it so easy to prepare! I can't say enough good things about NeXT. Can't wait to get back!

We ordered the Christmas turkey dinner package this year. We thought it was amazing. All of the dishes were well cooked and tasted wonderful. The pickup process was efficient and accessible. Chef Blackie - you hit all the notes. Start to finish our family had smiles on their faces. We devoured it. We tried to imagine how many families enjoyed this impeccable feast. How on earth did you cook so many turkey THAT well?! What is your secret?! We will certainly be back for every event we can. Easter? Thanksgiving? The queens birthday? Well see you soon. From our family to yours ... thank you.

Had an order for take-out. Food was delicious, however I wouldn't recommend taking out. The food would have been much better served at the table as it did not travel so well. They really should have some kind of discount for take-out. I did not enjoy paying full price for food that doesn't travel well. Still a 4 star as the food was very good and I'm sure would have been excellent had I eaten inside the restaurant.

Loved the NYE take home box. Food was DELICIOUS and the video very straightforward. Thanks so much - please do this again!

We've had three of the Global Tables boxes from NexT (France, Italy and NYE) and they have all been amazing! It is what is keeping us going through this pandemic! The instructions to prepare the food are easy and the food is delicious. With a cocktail and a bottle of wine included, it's a "nice night out". Plus you don't have to worry about drinking & driving or getting a babysitter. My only suggestion would be if they could allow you to buy more cocktails (it includes 2 cocktails per box) because they are so good! Highly recommend and can't wait to see what countries they feature next!

Our first experience with Next will definitely NOT be our last! We received the Global Tables "Next home" Italy dinner as a gift this holiday and it is the best take-out we've ever had, plus the experience of cooking it, (super easy and incredibly fun) made for an amazing date night. Food quality was top notch and two weeks later we're still telling our friends. Will be adding this restaurant to our list of local places to support regularly!

Delicious and well-presented food but our waiter didn't give me a heads up that the two dishes I ordered would have the exact same seasonings and, when we were done, we waited more than 30 minutes for the bill and, ultimately, had to walk up to one of his colleagues. I will go back for the food, though.

Good place to go with friends and share food. They do small plates and the food comes out really quick

  • 3/5 Thakshika R. 3 years ago on Google
All in all it was a nice experience, but we most likely won't be back for dinner. 1.) The staff are very friendly and great at what they do. 2.) Only go there is you want a twist on typical food. We might have gone in with higher expectations than most. They take your temperature once you walk in and the seats are a good distance apart for covid measures. They seemed a little understaffed, if they asked if we wanted another drink, we would have taken one but our waiter had at least 5 other tables at the same time. Completely understandable during these times, and as mentioned before we were happy with the overall service. The food however was intentionally (yes, I asked) either cold, not fully cooked, covered in sauce or had a twist of something sweet. The one item that was cooked perfectly was their beef ribeye, but it was drowning in a very sweet sauce. We tried a total of 5 dishes and all of them were not really to our liking, but that is not to say other people won't love them. I have never had a creme brulee I didn't like and there was just something off with their double torched ginger creme brulee. Our impression is that they are trying to put a twist on normal dishes and some of them are a hit or a miss. We heard that their brunches are expectational and might be back for that but will most likely go somewhere else for dinners.

Amazing food! Everything is based on share plates. Our party of three had a great variety of foods from cheese curds to drunken noodles to lamb quesadeas, chicken, scallops and prawns. The food was all beautifully spiced and we ended up bringing some leftovers home with us! The owner greeted us at the door and the service here is excellent! The setting I especially suited to an interactive social dinner with friends or family! We will definitely return be back!

I have had this restaurant recommended a few times and finally got to check it out. We tried the 9 course blind sharing menu and we're not disappointed, the food came wave after wave knocking around our tastebuds. It was amazing, The service was outstanding and even though there was a wedding being hosted we were never left un attended. Social distancing measures are in place. One of the best places to eat in the qent end hands down. We will definitely be back for more.

Amazing atmosphere at NEXT, the food was delicious and we had a great time as guests for a friend's rehearsal dinner. Service was prompt and professional, the servers were all super kind and helped ensure the dinner went off without a hitch.

Great food, everything was delicious. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. All the usual greatness. Only reason for 4/5 is, oddly enough, the water tasted like it had been sitting in plastic/silicone and absorbed that awful kind of freezer burn taste. Just weird.

Had an incredibly delicious dinner at Next earlier this week. Got the Chef's choice menu and don't regret a thing. 1) Salad with compressed watermelon, toasted pecans and feta 2) Mushrooms on toast 3) battered cheese curds (let me tell you how amazing it is to have these fresh. Nom) 4) Pasta with nduja 5) curried chickpea soup 6) pan seared black cod with rice 7) rib eye 8) waffle dessert and ginger vanilla creme brulee. So so so good. My only quibble with the experience is that the tables are too close together (there is a screen between but it was still too close for my preference) and the music was too loud. Next time, I will request a seat on the outer edge of the patio to mitigate this. There is ample shade/rain protection with a marquee tent over most of the patio.

Amazing customer service and delicious food! The portions are very small though especially for a big guy like me. Recommend the fried cheese and watermelon salad. Would repeat but avoid the blind serving experience as it was not worth the price for 4.

We tried the blind tasting menu which was pretty tasty and great value. Service was a bit slow but friendly. We got: - compressed watermelon, spinach, feta salad - kapow cauliflower - orecchiette with Italian sausage (off menu) - tempura fried cheese curds - spiced roasted corn + coconut soup - ginger snap crusted crispy beef short rib - confit duck leg - P.M.C (peanut butter & milk chocolate mousse with caramelized bananas and marshmallow fluff) - deep fried cheesecake pops - dirty bottom cocktail and cherry bourbon sour cocktail Considering all the different food we got, most of the dishes were excellent. Prepared fresh with good ingredients and technique. Our favourites were the compressed watermelon salad, kapow cauliflower and the duck confit. On to dishes with room for improvement. The corn soup was very salty but had good spice balance. The fried cheese curds would benefit from a sharper spicy/sour sauce rather than the sweet dominated one. The beef short rib was a very interesting pairing with the ginger snap crust which sometimes overpowered the savoury elements so I recommend adding the extra mustard and reduction they also serve on the side. The marshmallow fluff on the PMC was too sweet for us and didn't have any banana flavour. Lastly, the outside of both our cocktail glasses were super sticky, likely spilled over on its way to our table but just felt a bit unhygienic. Overall, more good dishes than not and would visit again to try different dishes.

Food was spectacular; every dish we got was impeccable. We ended up ordering more food to try after we finished our first round because we enjoyed our first dishes so much. I definitely see what the hype is about this spot. I would come back in a heartbeat to try the other menu items.

Had a great experience with the multi course Brunch tasting menu. Reasonably priced for the amount of food provided (we tapped out and took the dessert courses home). Standout's were the Pad ka pro, Ribeye and Fried chicken, but there isn't a miss on the entire menu.

OMG. Don’t know where to begin. Guess from the start. Owner Michael introduced himself to us with a very welcoming smile. Restaurant is very classy with great ambiance. Beautiful looking bar. Michael recommended few dishes and gave great suggestions to order 3 dishes for us ; 4 in the group. All the appetizers and main dishes were par excellence. Lavender cocktail was superb. Service was top notch. Michael came over to our table to say good bye as he was leaving. Extremely impressed with these personal touches on top of excellent cuisine and ambience. A must for everyone who enjoys fine dining experience for a great value at the same time. A definite repeat for us.

Went for Brunch, left a changed person. Easily one of the greatest dining experiences I have ever had. Owner checked in and was kind to share his recommendations and explain each dish. I guarantee I will be back. I found a new favorite restaurant.
