Friendly service and delicious food/drink. In Ålesund it's our favorite place and best place for vegetarians.

Drape is a very lovely and cosy cafe within walking distance to Aksla view point. The staff were very friendly & helpful on both the times I was there. Food was consistently good and totally love the hot chai latte! The brownie was awesome too! They have various non dairy / vegan options which was very pleasant.

Came here on a rainy morning. There wasn’t many people around and the space inside is actually huge. Food was really delicious. Good coffee and chai. We can see a lot of tourists around as this is the only café in town opening so early in the morning. Wasn’t expecting much but we definitely stopped at the right place.

We spent a week in Ålesund and ate at several restaurants. We left one w food poisoning, leaving us a little standoffish regarding fish and cream for a time (a staple it seems in Norwegian and Swedish food). We tried another place for a burger, it wasn’t bad but the meat seemed grisly. We ate at another fancy expensive restaurant, and as we were still recovering from food poisoning, really just wanted a nice salad. It wasn’t on the menu but the chef graciously made one… my point? This place has a nice salad on the menu all the time. My wife and I are also gluten free, a concept here that at times seems to have meaning to people and at others not. This place offers good, healthy gluten free alternatives. We wished we had eaten here earlier in the week and just kept coming back. We had been for coffee but not food. Definitely a place worth knowing about!

Good coffee, good atmosphere, excellent vegetarian options in a part of the country where this can be challenging. We stopped here to grab coffee on our way to Storhornet, and ended up staying for brunch.

I ordered a hot chocotale and was presented with a delicious work of art. Trying to find something similar in every town since for the rest of my Norway trip and nothing compares.

Beautiful store, helpful staff, and wonderful food! 10/10 recommend. The croissants were great, the coffee was good quality, and the food was super flavorful. If I could give it 6 stars I would. The location was is a central area and as a non-local, this area seemed like the place to be. The atmosphere of the store is cozy, inviting, and comfortable. If you’re in Ålesund, I would recommend giving this place a shot :)

very tasty food in a feel-good atmosphere. The cappuccino was the first with a double shot which tasted really good.

If you like håndbrygg, this is the only place you need to visit. You choose the bean, the size, and they make the pour over with a V60 very well. Everything else is good, too. But I'm in it for the good filter coffee.

Stopped by here today for lunch. Being a tourist from the United States, their menu online was in English, so that's a plus. I got the Vegetarian blue cheese burger and a smoothie. Delicious burger and smoothie! Service and staff were very welcoming and friendly! Had plenty of water to help yourself to as well. Spacious place with lots of seating options. Even had a few seats outside. Very comfy atmosphere! Happen to catch a marching band while eating.

The coffee is awesome! The sandwiches and food overall is nice. It’s a beautiful cafe for a catch-up with friends, nice place to relax.
