Really old house bought by the pentecostal church for its miraculous properties. Really friendly people, Perfect English spoken of course, Nice coffee and cakes. I won't spoil the story for you. Some of the timbers were 600 years old. Really nice place to visit because we were made so welcome in an anxiety house and museum. And no-one can accuse me of being religious.

Excellent guided talk on why this house survived the great fire. And for free, thank you.

Accidentally fell upon the museum after climbing down from the mountain hill top. So glad I found this place, rich history with an amazing story. The smell of the waffles were to good not to try and they did not disappoint as they were so delicious. The staff were so welcoming and kind, it is amazing to see the love and pride they have for this house.

Best non-tourist thing to do in this town - the couple is warm and knowledgeable. If you want to get away from the cruise crowd and have a good Norwegian waffle come here

An exciting touch of local history in the miracle house that did not burn in the fire. Nice cafe and some good souvenirs to buy

A true miracle this house survived the fire. For July 2018 open every day from 10 to 3 when cruise ships in. Don't miss this! The museum is free and serves excellent coffee for only Kr25.

👍👍 We did this as part of a MSC cruise tour, we were dropped off at the opposite end and walked through the forest and fantastic walk trails to this position. These are stairs leading up from the city but can be strenuous for some. Cafe at the top, old bunker and of course wonderful views.
