We
stayed
here
for
3
nights
in
early
July.
We
had
the
business
room
with
the
semi
circle
window
view
of
the
harbor.
The
room
was
beautiful
and
the
view
was
worth
it.
The
staff
was
very
nice,
although
very
confused
by
my
request
for
a
flat
sheet,
which
I
then
had
to
modify
to
an
empty
duvet
cover,
which
was
happily
supplied.
We
used
this
as
a
launching
point
to
visit
the
puffins
on
Runde
Island,
so
we
had
a
car,
which
isn't
necessary
if
you
are
planning
to
see
the
sights
of
Alesund.
Parking
is
not
easy
to
find,
so
we
ended
up
paying
for
parking
from
the
hotel.
They
have
a
little
warehouse
outside
and
a
small
lot
connected
to
it.
The
first
night,
the
parking
was
very
tight.
I
was
glad
I
wasn't
the
one
parking
but
we
managed.
The
other
days
were
easier.
We
walked
out
to
the
lighthouse
a
few
times
and
walked
to
all
the
restaurants
we
eat
at
in
town.
Be
sure
to
visit
the
ice
cream
shop
on
the
way
back
from
the
viewpoint.
Very
tasty.
Breakfast
was
very
good,
although
90%
of
the
salt
shakers
was
empty
every
time.
So
you
had
to
scavenge
a
full
one
from
a
(hopefully)
unoccupied
table.
They
had
amazing
croissants,
fresh
bread
and
slabs
of
butter,
fried
eggs
and
a
selection
of
cold
cuts
and
salmon.
It
was
quite
loud
on
Friday
night,
so
we
had
to
shut
our
windows
and
deal
with
the
heat
(don't
believe
their
website
about
the
air
conditioning,
these
rooms
do
not
have
air
conditioning!)
But
Saturday
and
Sunday
night
were
quiet
enough
we
kept
the
windows
open.
