👍👍 Wonderful little hike with massive rewards but bring good shoes for it and be careful when rocks are wet. The weather here can be very dramatic so plan for possible rain. People often mention hike, view, easy,

A 360 view of Alesund and the surrounding islands, absolutely gorgeous. A moderate hike, takes about an hour up. Starting point is right next to the bus station.

Absolutely wonderful view 😍 It takes 1.5-2 hours (down to top and return). Remember it's easy for Norwegian or other people who live in similar terrain, for people without experience in trekking it's NOT easy walk. There are a lot of stones (may be slippery) and mud during rain or after rain. Take good shoes, comfy clothes, water and some snacks and go to the top carefully, the view is worth of your effort. The path is a little bit hidden and not very easy to find. To get it, find sign Sukkertoppen (on Google maps it's called Sukkerstopen tursti) between houses located close to the school, where you can leave you car (when school is closed) unfortunatelly there is no other parking close to.

Breath-taking views from the top. One hour walk from Ålesund city center and a quite easy hike to the top. Definetely worth the trip.

Hiked during a cruise holiday, DO NOT PAY FOR P&O EXCURSION. We paid £22 for a taxi from Alasund centre to the start of the trail, (Taxi driver very helpful and knew exactly where to go) Then we walked back (about 3-4km) P&O Charged £58 each for the excursion! The trek is nice, some harder bits but fine for a novice, I'd say Walking boots a must as Rocky and easy to jar an ankle. Views from the top as you can see from our pictures weren't great as cloud covered the peak but views on the way we're great. On the way back down we passed the 1pm P&O excursion group. Poor buggers were like a 50 person long centipede. Definatly do this on your own at your own pace it's far more peaceful and beautiful. Happy Hiking!

Absolutely amazing views! But, this is not an easy hike, some bouldering and steep elevation to reach the top. We'll worth it@

About a 1 hour hike to the top. Good shoes recommend as part is difficult in places. Well worth the trip to the top for the stunning view.

Best view over Ålesund and the scenery. A lot of locals use the mountain for their daily fittness program. The hike will take around 1 hour and good hiking shoes are recommended.

Really nice and accessible hike. 3mile walk from the town, or you can take the bus. The path is pretty well maintained and never too steep or challenging. We did it in about 25minutes. The views from the top are worth it. Amazing views over the Fjords to neighbouring islands.

A great hike! I've read comments that's a rough hike but to be honest it's doable. Just take some water, maybe some candy's to have more energy. I can recommend the spot! It was really a breathtaking view! Loved it! 💕

👍👍 My favourite place for walks! Amazing views, very quiet place, ideal for rest and relaxation - for a run, to read a book, sit on the rocks, immerse your feet in water, etc. Recommend for everyone!
