A very nice girl guide gave the child an interesting excursion, told him about Braille, and of course gave us all masks so that we could guess works of art by touch. The museum has several functions. Blind people can get acquainted with art by touch, understand what the Acropolis looks like... Sighted people can plunge into the world of the blind and again reproduce in their imagination, with the help of tactile sensations, what this or that object looks like. There is also a store with products made by blind people with their own hands. Nearby is the building of a center for the blind, where they work, communicate and receive help. The old neoclassical building has two floors with several rooms on each, and also has a courtyard with benches. I highly recommend visiting. The museum is open until 2 pm.

(Translated by Google) This is an awesome place !!! I highly recommend this museum to visit. Here are collected copies of important Greek masterpieces and you can touch them! The museum is intended for people with vision problems, but for everyone else it is very interesting. They will give you a mask and you can touch the exhibits, try to guess what it is. a great opportunity to touch the Acropolis, Athena, Paseidon and other gods :) and also understand how people with vision problems feel. Entrance costs 2 euros. But this money is nothing compared to the experience that you get. The museum has a simply amazing guide, the girl is on fire with her work. He tells a lot of interesting things about exhibits, myths, legends and the origin of masterpieces. We had a great time and highly recommend this place to visit!

A museum with copies of well-known other museums such as the Acropolis, the archaeological museum or even the Louvre. In contrast to all other museums, the touch is imposed there since it is addressed both to people who see and to people who do not see and who perceive the works only through touch. It is one of five in the world, ideal for children as it has no restrictions, being the gateway for future museum visits in the strictest sense of the term. Entrance only 3 euros, there are canes for the visually impaired in all areas, accessible for people with mobility problems, very polite guided tour of the grounds and nice souvenirs at affordable prices. Well done!!

A fantastic place, highly recommended! Most museums have exhibits behind glass or off limits, but at this museum you're encouraged to touch the exhibits. We had an excellent guided tour with Marcheta who is very knowledgeable and has a lovely way of describing things, and by visiting the Tactual Museum first, when we visited places like the Acropolis later, we had a much better understanding of what we were seeing. Whether you're visually impaired or sighted, if you're in Athens, this museum is definitely worth a visit!

The only Museum of Touch in Greece and one of the 5 in the world! The museum has copies of important exhibits from museums in Greece and abroad (Aphrodite of Milos, bronze statuette of God Apollo, etc.) The interesting thing is that sighted visitors are given masks in order to experience, with the sense of Touch, the exhibits and try to understand the way blind people perceive the world. The museum hosts seminars open to the general public and guided tours for groups of adults and children! PS: The museum is open weekdays and one Saturday each month.

(Translated by Google) A very interesting place where you can touch with your hands copies of ancient Greek statues and finds from excavations. Try to imagine the world by touch, as blind people see it. Open until 2 p.m. It is worth it to find him and come from the center of Athens. Very nice staff, they are enthusiasts in their field.

(Translated by Google) Awesome museum! Very useful for children and adults. I thought that we were just walking around the halls and feel everything, but the conductor met us right away. Wonderful Calliopi easily and interestingly told children about how sculptures are created, about the sense organs About how people with low vision can perceive the world around them through the organs of touch. We were offered games in impenetrable masks, showed the Braille alphabet and wrote our names. There is also a shop with souvenirs made by the hands of visually impaired people. Children and adults are delighted! The entrance ticket is only 2 euros.

Such a wonderful idea - a museum for the blind where you can touch replicas of some of the most famous statues from Ancient Greece. What I loved about it, though, was that it also accommodated people who could see properly. When you go in, you're given an eye mask so you can feel the statues without being distracted by your sight. It's a unique experience that not only gives you a better appreciation of the art but what it's like to live as a blind person. It's not on the usual tourist trail and I was the only person there when I visited, but its something very cool and different to do in Athens.

One of the nicest museums we've been to. We learned about braille and wrote on typewriters. We embraced statues of vast history. We guessed what it could be that we were touching because we couldn't see, we were wearing a mask.

(Translated by Google) Great tour. A museum that allows all of its exhibits to be touched. You are in the position of a person who does not see or has great visual impairment. They show you the basics of writing Braille. The kids were impressed. A good suggestion for school visits.
