The
author
of
the
project
is
the
artist
Joanna
Rajkowska.
Pasaż
Róża,
unlike
the
previous
works
of
the
author,
is
much
more
personal
and
related
to
the
illness
of
the
artist's
daughter
Roza.
The
implementation
of
the
project
-
gluing
the
cut
pieces
of
mirror
to
the
walls
of
the
building
was
a
very
labor-intensive
process,
but
the
result
is
wonderful.
The
light-reflecting
mosaic
brings
the
dark
courtyard
to
life,
and
the
mirror
fragments
create
seemingly
disjointed
and
distorted
images,
symbolizing
the
artist's
daughter's
diseased
retina.
This
is
the
basic
task
of
the
Pasaż
Róża
project
-
to
force
passers-by
to
make
an
effort
to
reassemble
the
fragments
of
reality
into
a
unified
picture,
and
it
has
a
symbolic
meaning.
The
artist's
daughter
had
to
have
her
retina
reconstructed
after
undergoing
chemotherapy,
after
the
disease
she
can
see
only
partially,
it
is
possible
that
the
girl's
way
of
perceiving
reality
also
consists
of
merging
fragments
of
one
image
into
a
single
image.
