We were worried once we left the states that we wouldn't be eating good Indian food for a while. This place is a great little spot to satisfy those cravings. Excellent curries and naan. The tikka is also fantastic. Cash only. We're often times the only ones in here.

Tasty indian food at Japan, Staffs speak hindi and English well,they welcome in a polite manner and serve the food with smile. Main dishes are butter naan,rice and all popular indian curry masalas.

If you are looking for good quality Indian Food, then look no further. Great service and even better food. By the 4th time that I've ordered the same item, they have remembered my order and gave a little bit more attention to me.

Well you have the name incorrectly listed, it's Shiva Indian Cuisine, not Shiba. The food is AMAZING here, we had a bunch of vegetarian options (yay!!) And everything we ate was beyond fantastic. The service was incredible very personable. We are absolutely going back asap!!

Large size serving and very friendly and attentive service. If you like spicy then do not be afraid to select highest level on their chart which is still mild if comparing to authentic Indian. I would have liked to see a bigger range of curries but for Japan this is normal and overall I enjoyed my meal and visit.

**UPDATE: Waiter shared that you can raise spice level beyond level 9... and when I asked how far, he said '100.' Went for level 30 on all visits since and that's as hot as I need!** Seafood curry was great. As others have said, don't be afraid to select spiciest level if you love the heat. I picked level 8/9 and it wasn't hot at all. On my next visit I'll order level 9 and ask for a splash more. Cheese naan tasted different than I've ever had, but great. I suspect this might be the first time I've had authentic cheese naan. Quality cheese with some sweetness that would go well with a hotter curry. No complaints, we'll definitely go back and sample more of the menu.

Best Indian spot in sasebo. If you like actual hot curry you can expect it here. If it's not hot enough they are willing to go above the spice levels in the chart provided.

The absolute best Indian Curry restaurant we’ve ever had. When we lived in Sasebo we would go here almost every weekend. If you’re in the area it is a MUST! Lamb chop, cheese man, basil nan, butter chicken, etc. everything they had was great!
