Fantastic selection of gourmet breakfasts, pies, sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls, hot chips, coffee and cereals. Serves a bloody excellent All Day Breakfast with Bacon, Eggs, Hash Browns, Sausage and Tomato. The coffee here is absolutely delicious and goes down a real treat before work, Highly recommend stopping in here.

Nice place to stop before the long and today delayed trip to Gisborne due to roadworks. Hot choc was really hot with a gf orange and almond muffin.

Ordered the eggs bene, and bowl of chips with Aioli Hohh 😍😍 Honestly hands down yummy!! Thoroughly enjoyed my time here with a great atmosphere and prices were good too. Next step to see if they discriminate..

Food was nice. Lime milkshake had so little flavour I left it having only drunk 2 mouthfuls. For $7.00 was appalling. Mentioned it was not drinkable. There is no offer of alternative or putting some more flavour into it. Extremely disappointed, and went elsewhere to get a decent drink.

Been to here twice. Excellent environment. The food is delicious, especially the egg Benedict, it’s really mouth watering.

Nice cafe with standard fare, lots of counter selections as well as cooked-to-order meals. Tried the caramel oat bar and apple slice, both tasty and reasonably priced for the size. Coffee was also good, they brew Altura coffee beans. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Cafe entrance has stair on one side and ramp access the other. No wifi available.

Lovely place. Clean and a good variety of food. Coffee was good. Busy so thats always a good sign even in a small place like Opotiki. Friendly staff which is always a bonus.

It was Sunday and this is the only cafe open in Ōpōtiki. We hadn’t been here for over 3 years, since before Covid lockdowns in early 2020. The cafe was busy. It’s next to the intercity bus stop and near the junction is SH2 and SH35. An ideal location. There is seating indoors and outside. The outside seating is somewhat perfected by a fence to the north and the tables have umbrellas. It’s still managed to be a bit windy but much less than an unprotected site would be on the sort of day it was. The asphalt under the tables was warmed by the bright sunlight so it was comfortable enough overall. I had the omelette and it was pretty good. I will often order an omelette when uncertain about what’s on offer. They are hard to mess up. My wife had a ham melt and it had too many wet ingredients (including dill pickles or gherkins) and was soggy and she found it unpleasant and didn’t eat most of it. So when choosing from the menu, consider carefully what might be in each item. To be fair, someone else might have loved the melt. This is true for any place that offers food. Go with what you know at first unless you’re happy to experiment. The service was definitely acceptable. You order and pay at the counter. They offered a wide range of pies or hot chicken and chips or various baked confections (ginger slice, etc). Plus the set menu. There should be something here for everyone. My coffee was a trim flat white and it was fine. Everything was delivered to the table fairly quickly though items did arrive at didn’t times. Drinks first then each main as it was completed. I’ve given 4 stars for being overall pretty decent while individual elements were variable but generally good enough. I’d stop here again on a Sunday afternoon if I was hungry and wanted a coffee.

A new girl on the counter, she was lovely and polite, served me very well. I asked for a heated panini and a coffee and went sat outside. It took over 10 mins for my coffee, no panini arrived, I had an appointment and had to leave so asked for my panini to take away. Once I got it it was over cooked and way too crunchy to eat. It wasn't the girl at the counters fault, she was serving the line of customers and no one else seemed to be helping get the food out to the tables. I felt sorry for her, others should have been helping to get food to tables how can she do both?? I paid $18 for this experience. Very disappointing.

No hot bread but that's okay. Nice enough place in a small town. Food a bit pricey and prices not easy to see before buying.

Fantastic stop over on a hot summers day. The place was sooooooo busy on New Years Eve (daytime). People everywhere. Staff were excellent. Food delicious. Certainly recommend.

Well stocked hot and cold cabinets. Very popular place which is reflected in the decent prices. Pies are to die for!!!! Hubby loved his steak and cheese pie.

Love the food here, the range is good and everything is always freshly made. The premises us always kept clean and has a great seating area to eat.
