It is rather disappointing that 10 mins after placing an order, to be told that the item is not available. Went with my second choice of chicken strips and it was dryyyyyyyyy. Forced myself to finish it. Caesar salad was ok.

Nicely presented tasty food. However us five guests were inconventiently cramped onto a small table hardly large enough for two diners!! So we all felt uncomfortably squashed all evening!! The place was very busy tonight for a Monday night!!

We always have some good food here. Prices are very reasonable and oh my gosh the cherry beer was Amazing!

We had a table of 6 and ordered the seafood platters. Honestly the best seafood we have had in a long time. We all went home feeling full! The staff were lovely and service was great! Also the selection of Belgian beers was very nice! Would definitely recommend.

I've been going there for quite a few years and the food quality is quite good. Vaste selection of beers and friendly staff. The place needs a bit of a refresh and tidy up after many years.

The half shell mussels were excellent but I have been coming here for years and have to say the menu and quality of the dishes is not so good any more.

Lovely cooked mussels. Gorgeous blue cheese beef burger. Our lunch did not disappoint. If I was asked what could be improved? I'd bring a bowl with the half pot mussels so we can dispose the shells. And offer a spoon to scoop the delicious sauce at the bottom. Nice service. I would absolutely return.

We weren’t let down by the mussels, which are renowned for this restaurant. Service was prompt and effective.

Overall not a bad experience. Mussels were good, steak was a bit on the tough side. Edible just a little chewy. Atmosphere was lively, busy, service was excellent.

Food was terrible, they forgot what I ordered and still tried to argue. Quality and size of food is similar to frozen food. As soon as I arrived the bar tender told me at least 4 times that there would be an hour wait on food, despite looking like a slow day! Pretty sure he just wanted to avoid dealing with another order. After that food arrived in 30min. Where no cutlery was provided and the bar tender seemed doing nothing to assist with pointing me in the right direction. I'd recommend elsewhere for food

The food was okay. This was our first meal in New Zealand and I think we were all just too hungry. Wife and daughter split fish and chips and mushroom risotto. The fish and chips were good, but nothing special. The risotto was a little under cooked. My other daughter and son split a burger that was standard burger fare. I decided on the prosciutto wrapped chicken breast. The chicken was dry, but the couscous and veggies were good.

Friendly and efficient waiter Mr. Sergio he deserves 5 stars not the same for his colleague a blonde girl with grumpy face when we asked if she can open the umbrella a little bit more she said No!!😠this is the most it’s not possible open it more, however Sergio kindly open the umbrella a little more. Sergio never forgot that the service didn’t finished until the patrons left the restaurant, he back to us asking if we need something else ( we had a table outside on the deck ) and giving information about the menu . we ordered the green lipped mussels with coconut curry lemon grass velvety and tasty sauce l really enjoy it. The chicken poulette is a chicken schnitzel cooked at perfection with a superb mushroom sauce so congratulations to the chef deliver time for our plates into the time frame perfect !!! Good presentation excellent flavours and Sergio the perfect match in our Belgian Cafe

The seafood chowder and the salad are great. It’s a shame they didn’t have the steamed mussels today instead we have to order the baked one which is really garlic flavored. Next time we have to try the steamed ones.

Portion size aas generous but the grilled mussels were a tad salty. But otherwise a great experience complemented by the friendly and warm staff.

3.5/5 food. (Pretty chewy steak, but the garlic butter helped a lot) Daily specials are neat. Kind staff Vibey place Would go for daily specials, atmosphere, and live music.

The food was okay, tastes average, presented in plates on the smaller scale so the use of knife and forks on the meats make other things fly off the plate. Service was great though, fast, friendly and welcoming. When my 2y.o neph started crying the barista made him a strawberry drink which effectively diffused the situation.

Place has lots of character and great beer selection . $15 fish n chip special was good value, and was mostly great but fish slightly underdone. Apart from that meal was great, and mixed mussel platter was interesting but good!

Good atmosphere, nice~ food. Hope to see more smile faces from staff.

Maybe they were trying to cook everything together and bring it out all at the same time, unfortunately my meal came out cold and dry, I had the glazed belly pork meal. We also got the steam mussel 1kg and we added the white wine sauce on top as well, the mussels were great just not the added sauce, personally I think it was over cooked and became gravy then saucy, my 7 yr old son said his meal chicken bacon pasta was great just cold, he loved it. My husband loves hot meal as well but his came out warm. Although that's my personal review, I would go back, the food was cold but it was well done. The atmosphere looking over mission bay was beachy and airy.

Bon service, bonne bière. Really good service and delicious meals. I felt back to Belgium with fresh (but not chilled) beers and tasty moules-frites which we really enjoyed because they were local mussels (5x bigger than the real mussels back there). There was a live music playing on the ground floor that brought an extra mile to the night! Thank you guys.

Food was ok. Mussels a bit too chewy and overdone. 8:15pm apparently no deserts could be made. Really disappointing, I don’t think I’ll be back here again. Long Island Iced tea and Coke were good though 😊

Nothing beats NZ green lip mussels steamed in blue cheese or creamy white wine sauce with a side of fries and your favorite Belgium beer. Overall the food quality and service has dropped post COVID which is a shame. I hope it's just a temporary thing. Came here twice in two weeks, the mussels were not as fresh at the second visit and over cooked, sauces were not as good as previous.

To be honest. The dishes could be made better. I feel the sausages are from countdown or some supermarket. Maybe I’m wrong but it’s not that great. The BBQ ribs taste nice. Overall portion size is not very big and I’ll have to order a lot to feel full. Some little problem occurred during our dining but the manager solved the problem well. It’s an iconic restaurant in mission bay, but yeah I suppose it can do better.

Great staff very attentive. Beautiful mussels pots ps forgot to take a photo. Creamy white wine & garlic sauce was amazing. Have various dishes and food was good! Thank you for having us (:
