Update: 25/12/2022-I could clearly see a distinctive improvement from my last review. However, there should definitely be more vegan and vegetarian options available. I was actually surprised they don't have something as basic as kumra fries. Also, surcharge on paywave and credit card transactions is something I've never been a fan of. There can be more done in terms of improving the overall experience. Overall presentation, wait time, customer service etc. can improve. Prices are okayish for the location.

Good place to have lunch by the beach. Ordered french toast, which was great. Came with fresh strawberries, ice cream, cream, jam and banana

Two stars are for the staff only, service is so lovely. The food is honestly terrible. The chicken and waffles (a single waffle btw, as is the case with their kids “waffles” it’s just one, for 16 dollars 💀) but regardless, it was slathered in the most disgusting sauce I’d ever tasted. It was like off playdough! Chicken and bacon was nicely cooked but that’s about all I can say for it. If you have to get it, get it without the sauce.

Great location with good service. All day menu. Very busy place put still relaxed. Options of inside/outside, sofa/chair/stool seating. Menu is limited but excellent quality. I didn't try the coffee so I couldn't advise you.

Either you are having a walk in the mission bay beach or just passing by and wanting to sit down and chill with nice coffee and a variety of food, this is the place to go. They have plenty of seating, but often very busy specially in the evening. So all up to your luck if you will get a good seat. Friendly staff which will serve the order to you after placing order. Prices are standard. I need to try some more of their food to see the quality and will update the review accordingly.

Very nice food and really nice staff, however, when you're inside, there's very little space to move around so if you can sit outside 😀

Great spot along the esplanade to enjoy on a sunny day. Food and drinks were $$ but tasted pretty good - the big breakfast was $32 with one egg perfectly poached and the other overcooker 😏The cafe was busy as we approached lunch hour so service was very slow from being seated to ordering and there was a long delay on our drinks and then food arriving.

A Disappointing Decline at Mission Bay Cafe I used to be a regular at Mission Bay Cafe, drawn in by their great food. However, in the last six months, prices have soared, and the quality has plummeted. Today's $27 Caesar salad was a low point – a bunch of lettuce drowned in bottled dressing with a flavour that made me feel sick. This follows a pattern; the mushrooms I had last time were equally disappointing. Sadly, Mission Bay Cafe has lost a loyal customer. I cannot recommend it anymore; paying a premium for consistently disappointing food is not worth it.

A wonderful dine in experience with our amazing hostess Lila who was absolutely welcoming! The dishes were just perfect! Definitely recommend when you're in Mission Bay.

I usually come here with my hubby for afternoon tea but this time with my family - husband, my son's family, his wife and two children for breakfast, we called in for reservation for 7 pax and.our meals..wallah, when we arrived we were so pleased. Everything is prepared, food so delicious at a reasonable price and portion. So love the place, highly recommended. Staff most of all friendly and helpful. See you soon.

The food was lovely but the service left me wanting. With no water on the table and no thank you at the check out ☹️ no one even asked me if I enjoyed it!...but the was good enough to go back again and see if the service 2nd time around would be better 😂

Great food and service. Combo, entrée and main or main and dessert for $49. They are accommodating too. I usually ask to swap my mash for roast potatoes, and they are always willing to say yes to my request. Highly recommend.

Poor service. Staff unfriendly and inattentive to customers’ needs - we ordered cakes to share and asked for extra forks and the staff gave us just one extra fork (when we obviously needed way more). The iced coffee had no ice in it, just ice cream on the top so the drink itself was lukewarm.. The banoffee pie was yum though

Ordered a simple eggs on toast with a friend and both our eggs were rock hard and no flavour. The toast wasn’t toasted at all. Very expensive for terrible quality. A real shame

Had a regretful breakfast today after I thought I might be a nice location for a bite to eat after arriving on an early morning flight. Two slices of pre packaged sourdough at $5 a slice and $7 for half an avocado is not acceptable. The entire venue became surprisingly packed full of people and I really don’t know why as it needs shutting for a week or so and a good deep clean.

Very close to the beach and there's parking lot just nearby. The coffee is really good, strong and creamy.

Nice portions, if you sit outside you can see the sea. I ordered peach tea which was good. But didn't like the taste of the food so much.

Went for brunch and both ordered the brioche French toast which was yum! The food prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was great with the option to sit inside or outside with views of the bay

Great place to stop for some food, everyone was very happy with their meals, I had the Chicken Fettuccine which was a decent size and had well balanced flavor. Staff were great, helpful, friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.

Food was amazing. Beautiful creamy pasta and some salt and pepper squid. We will excuse the rude Indian waitress that unnecessarily leaned across the table over my fellow diners, to deliver the meals, instead of walking around the table. She never smiled once and looked very unmotivated to be there. However sitting on the bay alfresco dining was lovely!

Decent lil cafe for breakfast or lunch. Food is good, service can be slow and staff friendliness varies. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. Ok for a quick stop.

I went for brunch this morning. The atmosphere and the service were good. The food, unfortunately, was not. I ordered the Chicken Pho, and it was by far the worst pho I've ever tasted. It was bland and unappetising, simply tasting as bad as it looked. My partner ordered a simple Eggs on toast. The eggs were overcooked, and the ciabatta was burnt; it seemed a bit sly that the burnt part was turned down on the plate. I've been here before and have enjoyed their French toast, but today was quite a turndown. I'd strongly recommend a better investment of effort and ingredients in the broth, and if not worth it, taking the pho off the menu. Note that the table beside me were sipping on their pho and talking about the same thing.

Breakfast...$32.90..Ordered Grilled food as per the menu but received deep fried. Bacon was very brittle, poached eggs were hard boiled, grilled sausage was deep fried. Not worth the money, never see you again. Good luck 👍

Talking about the foods and drinks there, they were equally delicious and appetizing, especially, the Orange cake and the garlic-roasted bread were outstanding. I liked Mission Bay café, mainly because it had a huge space inside it to accommodate just about everybody rather comfortably. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The menu offered a wide variety of delicious coffee, muffins and cake. We tried "Free Range Eggs" and Muscon Mushroom Medley , they were really appetizing. The staff was friendly and attentive , always making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. For me , this place is to go for breakfast and lunch with friends and family and enjoy sea view.

Food has little flavor, egg shells in egg, and ALOT of oil! And way too much garlic!!! Service was average, table was dirty. Coffee was good

DELICIOUS! We had breakfast here and the food was so good. The eggs bene was one of the best I’ve ever had and the coffee was great! Super friendly service from the moment we walked in. Easy parking with plenty of parks right across the road. This would be a lovely place to sit outside on a sunny day. Will definitely come back when we are in Mission Bay again!

$6.90 for a large coffee is getting up there. Obviously paying for the area. It was ok although the froth was flat, not that def edge of cinnamon to froth when scoped up on my teaspoon . Nice art work on the walls. Tables cleared away quickly when vacated . I love when they bring me water too

I had a great experience at Mission Bay Cafe, it was nice atmosphere and great wine. I like the service level of the manager Ismail as he got massive knowledge on wine and he offered us a good wine and it was awesome!!!! I love to go there again....

Absolutely lovely! Enjoyed best coconut oatmeal I’ve ever tried. My son and his girlfriend loved their MBC big breakfast and Buddha vegan bowl. Coffees were perfect.

We were served by Ismail who was the BEST waiter! His customer service was awesome!!! My Polynesian family are big eaters and fussy too! And he handled them with patience and humour! Thank you Ismail and your team for making our dinner such a breeze. The food was beautiful and I usually don’t like eating around the noisy and bustle of Mission Bay but this place was awesome!
