😠 We have been waiting for more than 5 hours. They just have one doctor on duty and the hospital was full of patients. Honestly we paid a high price for low quality of service. Unbelievable People often mention surgery, doctor, time, staff, nurses, hospital, care, good, waiting, hours,

Very long wait times, as they are short-staffed; I was waiting 3 hours for what ended up being a 5 minute chat with the doctor past midnight. Overall, it was a good experience, however, and we were treated well.

Highly recommend going here if you can. Amazing service from surgery day to discharge. The surgeons, anesthesians and nurses are just amazing, attentive and very friendly and made sure I was looked after no matter what the time. Very grateful to be looked after so well when at my most vulnerable and thanks to that it set a precedence to my home recovery. Also have to give shoutout to the restaurant quality food where you can choose from a menu! If you're having surgery and can go here then I would highly recommend you book yourself in 😊

The hospital is great, staff are amazing. The parking situation is another story! Terrible and so expensive, and if you forget to pay there is no human being available to meditate any issues, you just get a ticket from the cameras!

Had shoulder surgery: excellent experience throughout. Welcoming and helpful staff, very professional, excellent surgery, great anaesthetists, kept pain to a minimum, clear explanations, nice bedroom with on-suite, even good food. Nurses checked regularly, very friendly. Clear instructions for what to do next. Thanks so much!

I went To this facility. For A asthma attack that was Induced by A infection The wait time was very long though. This is understandable as they were Short-staffed. The nurses were lovely. And took good care of us. The issue I came across. Was the doctor? At this point I had been Coughing to the point of not being able to breathe and almost throwing up for 2, maybe 3. Hours The nurses moved me to a room by myself so I wouldn't disturb. Other patients? But when the doctor finally arrived. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. And accuse me of faking it. I was In shock Not 5 minutes into talking to the doctor. She says "Your coughing has picked up a lot since I came here." She called it convenient. She sat there looking at me not giving me Instructions But she did give me a asthma inhaler. Something a nurse had already done. She proceeded to interrogate me. And ask me what I was trying to skip out on. This was because I had asked for a medical notice To give to my strict school. This blatant disrespect completely ruined The experience I was already exhausted from a being late. And having coughing fits every 5 seconds. And then I had to deal with that. To be honest, it seems like a decent facility. I think I just got unlucky with either a too tired or too unprofessional doctor.

we have been going to ascot medical since my boys were 5 yrs old. Went in today to have my older son who is 22 now have his throat checked. Went to reception and gave our name and address. We weren’t asked any other questions so since we’ve been there before I assumed all details are up to date. We were told to sit then 10 mins later nurse saw us. After that we waited 5 hours to be seen. In between I went to reception several times to ask where we were on the list. Was told 3rd then 1 hour later were told 2nd then 2 hours later we were still 2nd. After 5 hours were finally seen by doctor for a whole 10 mins or so. We went to reception to pay thinking we are enrolled and eligible since we were in the past. Was told the total was $160. Omg $160 for sore throat some antibiotics and Panadol. After trying to get an explanation from the receptionist as to why she still didn’t clearly explain. All she said was that you haven’t been here in a while and you’re not enrolled or eligible. I said to her we’ve been coming here for years and if it’s not then why didn’t u let me know that before we wouldn’t have waited coz I can’t afford that. We thought we were paying $39. She didn’t seem to care in helping us or to correct the problem. So we paid and left. There goes the grocery money for the week because the receptionist was too lacking in communication and couldn’t be bothered to help. She didn’t look too sure herself a to what she needed to do. So please before you spend time waiting ask for the charges and fees for yourself even if you’re enrolled or eligible. These people are just trying to make money. I’m the past year’s reception that we use to go there the reception would tell u if you weren’t enrolled. But now the communication and standard has gone down.

i wear mask today just to make sure everyone have good social distance, BUT THE FRONT Desk asian lady treat me like i’m having COVID. She’s attitude was really bad and i’ve told to wait outside when the waiting room is only one lady with her child. i don’t have fever and running nose. I feel really disappointment for the first viewing this hospital. ps doctor here is good and friendly

Denying people medical treatment by delaying access to THE doctor , whilst simultaneously offering a specialist clinic, where people can book in and leave within 30minutes, in direct contrast to us - waiting 5 hours and then only to be continually bumped down the cue for so called emergencies. The most excruciating thing is , I know for a fact the doctor would spend 5 minutes with us and then send us on our own way. Also the older receptionist tends to make broad assumptions that someone with allergies is a covid case. This place should not be permitted to continue as an A&E.

First ever surgery. Never felt so comfortable, thanks to all the nurses and specialists, from pre-op to recovery.

I recently had knee surgery. From arriving at reception, right through to discharge, every encounter I had was fantastic. The nurses are all very lovely, tentative and caring. I have terrible veins, and they anaesthetists used humour to help me through the process of the IV going in and my nerves leading up to going into surgery. The hospital is clean and tidy. Rooms on the ward have ensuites, with were cleaned to a high standard. The rooms have nice big windows to let in the day, and decent sized TVs with a convenient set up. Would highly recommend this hospital to others!

Got seen very fast for a simple broken ankle. All the staff were super nice and professional. Couldn't have gone better. Other than the broken bone part.

My partner just came back from an operation at Mercy Ascot - it was a terrible experience. Long wait times, no care or attention, unresponsive nurses. He was sent home without clear instructions or information on what to expect.

Doctors here are useless and for me he looked like a scam artist!!!!! They charged $80 for paracetamol plus 2 hours waiting time. I asked for medicine to treat stomach pain. He said paracetamol treats everything in this country. This is seriously a joke!!!!!!!! He also thought my son was acting(guessed based on the questions he asked us). He was in serious pain that he was crying. My son was literally shocked when he asked those questions. Doctor was super rude too. He asked what did you expect me to do. The answer in my mind was “treatment of course”. In my opinion he doesn’t know how to treat gastroenteritis and doesn’t know what medicines work for it. Just to be in safer side he is giving paracetamol. 0/10 for this hospital. This place might be good for accident cases but for medical it’s not good to visit even for emergencies

I have nothing against the hospital. it's only LPR enforcement service I'm not happy about. My wife had a surgery at Fertility Associates and we were advised by our nurses that it would take half a hour. So on arrival I used the 30 minutes free parking on the machine and paid for extra hour and half. We wouldn’t know when exactly the surgery would finish and she was under anesthetic so she had to take some extra rest at Fertility Associates. By the time we leave we didn’t check what time it was because my wife was very weak and I was desperately trying to get her some food and rest. I received a letter from LPR enforcement who was monitoring The carpark asking me for breach of contact of $65. $65 is a lot of money for a poor family like us. This LPR enforcement are just money grabbers and only hit people at their weakest point. I could give LPR enforcement Service zero stars if I can. But these guys are very smart by not registered as a business on Google Maps.

Hi there, I'm not happy about your parking service, you never send me this fine (notice LPR #28059) to my address and it has been overdue with a majorate. I've paid but I'm surprised and really angry that you didn't send me the 1rst fine at my correct address. I shouldn't have to pay for something I never received on time from you. I will appreciate it if you could do something about it. In the meantime, I will put a bad review and talk about my experience with your service. No thanks, Nico

Had my first surgery ever here a couple weeks ago, and the admission, pre-op, inpatient care, everything was great. The bedroom was a bit tight and hallway a bit noisy during the day, but I'm giving 5 stars because the nurses were all fantastic, both pre-op and inpatient care, I felt well cared for and at ease.

I was so impressed with the level of communication and care right from the start. Staff took the time to explain all the steps so I was never left wondering what was happening. The staff were so kind and caring. I definitely felt like the most important person in the room. Plus the views from my room were lovely to look out at!

Absolutely amazing staff. Every single one of them. The nurses are wonderful especially Sheridan or Sheri as we called her. She is one of the best nurses I dealt with. Sharon is also a wonderful nurse. The surgeon Dr Segar is the best around and the anaesthetist as well. The best hospital I've stayed in. Big rooms, great food and lovely staff.

I am writing to tell you how well my recent hip replacement surgery went at Ascot Hospital. Firstly, the surgical team was absolutely top-notch. Since I had several other medical issues on board when I presented for surgery, I truly made them work for their money. I recovered from the surgery over the next few days in the West Wing. I don’t wish to single out anyone in particular because it would be unfair on those whose names I didn’t learn. Those who went way above and beyond the call of duty know who they are and that will suffice. Also, I only met the few nurses and other support staff who looked after me and I’m sure that there are others on duty who I did not meet who are also doing outstanding work. But everyone from the nurses to the physios to the healthcare assistants on night duty, they all contributed to my recovery process. Dignity is a core concept in nursing care and maintaining patients’ dignity is critical to their recovery. Measures to maintain dignity in patients’ care include maintaining privacy of the body, providing spatial privacy, giving sufficient time, treating patients as a whole person and allowing patients to have autonomy. I don’t wish to dwell on this point, but I never felt uncomfortable with the way I was treated, with my privacy protected as much as possible under the circumstances. The food choices and the preparation thereof are also worthy of note as is the people who brought food and beverages to my bedside. I’m sure that I am not alone when I express my gratitude to the entire team at Ascot. I may be back to have the other hip done. If so, I know that I will be in good hands. Regards, Chuck Rademacher South Head Helensville

ASCOT staff are so kind and helpful. Given the Covid circumstances, I felt so at ease with everything and everyone. They were quick and efficient. The environment is comforting and calming. I came here with an accidental injury and their Urgent Care Team were fantastic!

    in hospital very recently for knee replacement all modern conveniences ice for knee in place 24/7 pads on feet to stop dvt, nursing staff and physio's really helpful and with different personalities excellent surgeon dr Hucker and anesthetist Gerry/ walking without crutches very quickly same day, not forced to mobilize rather encouraged, not needing much pain relief meals were ok they were trying a room service approach, order when you wan,t which worked sometimes, other times on the phone for 30 minutes as no one answering due to high demand at end of the day would have been nicer to have a mini bar set up as dont want to ring room service every time you want a cold drink, or a snack, totally recommend this hospital i am a health professional so can be very critical :}

I recently had surgery here and wanted to write to them to say thank you for their upmost care and attention- from the surgeon and anaesthetist through to the nursing staff and catering - very good. I would highly recommend.

The reception staff in the Medical Health centre are short with anyone who walks through the door. A very uncaring environment for people in serious pain.

my dad had a angioplasty done yesterday morning at 645am. it was our first time ever at ascot hospital. the surgery was completed efficiently however after the surgery my dad was having urinal issues. the doctor told us first that we will need to take him to middlemore hospital with our own personal car - we were happy to do so and were ready. the doctor then came back and said they changed their mind and that the ambulance will come collect us at 4:30pm. we waited hours until it was 4:30pm and the doctor came back around 3:45pm to advise that the ambulance will not be coming and that we need to take our personal car to middlemore. he also mentioned that the ambulances do this quite often. I told the doctor that we sent our family away to middlemore to meet us there as they were not allowed into the hospital all day (only one person allowed in). the doctor then called us a corporate cab and sent us away to middlemore. the nurse and doctor at ascot told us that there is a doctor waiting for us at middlemore. when we reached middlemore at 5:45pm, the doctor that was supposedly “waiting” for us did not see us till around 8pm. this could’ve been handled way better if the doctor had just let us leave once they were satisfied with what they had done, we wasted roughly 3-4 hours just waiting for transfer to middlemore when i could’ve taken my dad in my own personal car and save time at middlemore.

Came here for an urgent healthcare. Nurse Lulu and Dr Lily was amazing and lovely. They did not dismiss your symptoms and how you feel with your symptoms. They provide walk-ins for casual patients as well. Waiting time at the time was an hour but it's understandable due to high volume of patients.

My first ever experience with surgery done this morning. The process was so smooth no stress and with the professional help from the caring nurses and the staff from the moment I got there till got discharge makes a huge difference. I'm so thankful to have this procedure done at Ascot. To experience not only the professional services but the opportunity to be served by some amazing individuals with loving hearts. God bless you all!

Had Surgery here recently. Every member of their medical team were compassionate and caring which was very comforting. Special thanks to Dr Julian Holland for performing my surgery successfully, and to everyone in his surgical/nursing team. Highly recommended Ascot Hospital.

I had two ENT operations here last year. The quality of the surgery was good as was the post surgical care. The rooms are a bit noisy but warm and comfortable. The food is only average, only a little better than a public hospital.

The frony office staff are good, communication is good, and the doctors and nurses are phenomenal. We've unfortunately had to take our midget in twice, and the doctors were super clear, gave pragmatic advice and took their time doing the check up. Was blown away by the service when you expect an A&E to smash through patients. The wait is what you would expect from and A&E but with much better service. Hopefully wont have to go back in the near future though!

Went here for anthroscopic day surgery on 30th July 2021. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. Not much of a waiting time. Nursing staff made you feel relaxed. Anesthesiologist and Specialist were very professional and efficient. Recovery was excellent and the staff were great. Was given a beverage, sandwich and a piece of cake. All in all, if you are coming to Ascot for surgery you will be well looked after. Thank you to everyone who took care of me. I greatly appreciate you all.

Recently discharged from Ascot Green Lane East. My surgeon and anaesthetist were fantastic, really made me feel safe and done a brilliant job! The care from the nurses and other health care staff I encountered personally, was extremely disappointing and not up to the care standards you would expect from a private facility. Barely a smile and bedside manner was poor. Simple practical support around hygiene, movement and comfortability was neglected. Nurses would be talking very loudly at all hours of the night outside the room and overheard a rather inappropriate comment made by one, jokingly asking another if she still had her ovaries I had just had a hysterectomy. Very inconsiderate. Food was average not any better than public.

Had a horrible experience with Dr Melissa Rossaak for my foot injury. She answers very vague questions that I asked as well as neglecting my chief complaint. Never go to her for orthopaedic surgeon.
