Not enjoyable at all especially for the price of $130 for 2 adults and 3 kids... waitress was unenthusiastic and Un-imformative especially about the vegetarian hot pizza and that the sauce was like hot tabasco sauce but then again we never asked. The chicken wings covered in sauce just tasted like teriyaki sauce (because there was so much of it).... the pork belly bites were 90% fat and inedible and felt sickly to eat because it was literally like eating balls of fat! My daughters order was like getting ribs with her sauce.... drowned I'm sauce there was no way of tasting and enjoying the flavour of ribs with the overpowering buckets of bourbon sauce. Mash potatoes we ordered for our 1 year old was like it had been nuked In the microwave and was served 10 mins after the mains came out... I never put less than 4 stars all the times I review places except for here.... the best part of the whole meal was the eclipse mint I got after regretfully paying... One place I will never eat at again.

A salute my love this place! Especially coming here for a nice lunch or evening dinner. Prices in my opinion are slightly high but I’ll have to admit, it’s really worth it. Portion sizes are perfect as well. If I had to recommend one meal, it would have to be the crispy chicken burger! Close runner-up would be any of the pizzas they have too

Had a small birthday dinner here in downstairs private section. Busy spot however still a nice ambient feel inside 😊 Good, kind and attentive customer service - staff done really well under pressure as it was a busy Thursday night. Food was good + portion size & price. Surf & turf in particular was yummy and mussels. The steak chips were bomb!!! Photos don't show how amazing they are.. Ribs probably won't order again. 👌 keen to go back and try other things on menu

I don’t know how was under the old management, but this new management is making this place looks amazing. We had dinner last Saturday because we purchased the offer from GrabOne. We ordered a large shared plate and pizza. It came quickly and was superb! Staff is friendly and always ready to assist us. It looks great inside, beer was in perfect temperature and kids enjoyed a lot too. Worth a visit!

The staff here are always attentive when we go there ready with a menu..This is the place we like to go spoil ourselves. The food is real good..And the jug of beer is even great.. There's a waitress there that always serves us when we go in she is an absolute angel i love and enjoy her hospitality. And the new manager I assume who's always ready to greet people make them feel comfortable at the same time doing everything else to ensure things are running smoothly. I highly recommend this place no doubt!

Awesome place and the best bar staff. Good happy hour deals and the food is really nice. Their tap beer is the best I have had and I think it is due to the fact that they maintain the temperature in their chillers and the kegs are changed often for fresh beer. Very safe place on any night. Their security guys are very friendly and take no non sense at all.

Usually love the vibe here. Good drinks, food and atmosphere. However, recently stopped in for a few drinks after a long day Xmas shopping. To be specific, on Saturday 10 Dec 2022 around 4pm. So you can pin point who this duty manager is. On this day, I was served by the lovely female bartenders. The Asian bartender, made the best cocktails. Honestly, the best👌🏽 So I return to get the same cocktail, but she was busy, so the duty manager made the cocktail I asked for. He made it completely different. And added Lemonade to "water down" if you will, the cocktail. Lemonade is not an ingredient in the cocktail. I asked him why does this taste different to the cocktail I just had? He said, what's wrong with it? I said it has Lemonade in it. At this point, he throws a big tantrum, and gathers all the bartenders and growls all of them for not adding Lemonade in my cocktail, in front of me. How unprofessional! I said it doesn't have Lemonade in the ingredients. He growls me, and says what do you want in it then? I said, what it says on the menu. He says and what juice? I said the one on the menu. Mango juice. He says we don't have mango juice🥴 So he gives pineapple and cranberry. I apologized to the girl because I didn't mean to get them in trouble and I honestly felt so bad for them. You got caught trying to change the ingredients in my drink and tried to blame it on your staff. How bloody unprofessional. Take accountability. And then to scold your customer for asking for the drink they paid for? That's my money!!! I spent on that drink. You don't go changing the menu to suit your pockets!

Service was great, nice indoor/outdoor flow, very spacious inside for dining and room hire for special occassions. Not sure if they had happy hour on saturday as we were never told about it and didnt see any signs of happy hour. I woudnt say the pizza was worth $25 though....bit too pricey for just bacon, bit of chicken, cheese and bbq sauce.....also got the steak and chips w/mushroom sauce, would not recommend the mushroom sauce...it was more like gravy with the taste, again pricey with just chips, steak and mushroom sauce...no vegies or salad comes with it meal.....

Great atmosphere! The food is always on point especially their Pizzas. They make the best cocktails. Excellent service from the staff. They ways come clear the tables when they see we are done with our meals. There are lots of seating options indoor for a nice quite dinning and outdoor with music playing or just watching a sports game. Weekends tend to get very busy. Great location and plenty of parking as it is right next to the Manukau Westfield Mall.

This is not going to stop me from going to Republic but I needed to voice my mother's day experience. $55 per person wasn't that bad but I must say the food was not worth $55.00 if I have to rate from 1-10 10 being the worst it would be 9. Just one suggestion people want to go to a place because of their everyday fantastic menu. Please don't try and fix what's not broken...I would've been 100% happier with your normal menu.

We went here today for mothers day. Service was great, the set menu was awesome, large prawn entree, beautiful lamb and veges, and ginger steam pudding. The staff are amazing, and Hat's off to the chef! Bro that lamb was cooked to perfection.

Great Music and environment. Reserved a table for a group we’re not advised their kitchen closes at 9 pm apparently they ran out of entrees menu and cocktails in the menu was written 6-12 am they ran out of cocktail ingredients. Moral of the story 9 guest went home without having dinner ! Not ideal need more staff as well 2 staff on the floor on a busy sat night .

I think this place is under new management. I went there for lunch few days ago and menu has changed. Hubby ordered steak and he loved it and loved the red wine gravy sauce that came with it even though the waiter forgot to ask Hubby for his options on his steak. I ordered the fish of the day. It was ok and I enjoyed the kumara that came with it. Staff were very friendly and service was great 👍 will come again for lunch.

Republic is such a great space for any occasion! We have held birthdays here, business meetings and even just casual drinks with friends. The owner and staff always go above and beyond for us, and do everything they can to make us have a memorable night. Republic is the place to be if you're looking for a great night out in Manurewa!

Had brunch with cousin.Customer service top notch, I guess because they had just opened when we arrived. Cleanliness; when going in, the floor was sticky, and smell of previous night was lingering 😷 Food; ordered Sailor platter, first look when it arrived great, then started to eat, it was not great, Ika was dry even with mornay sauce, gray fish was of illegal size and not worth cooking up, mussels still had its beards, and not cleaned properly, the green salad was very watery, I guess it came from watery sliced gherkins, the greens was quite soggy, good idea to mix salad thoroughly before serving, other shellfish was dry, it didn't help when chef covers it with spices and it was rubbery, prawn twister and crumbled prawn was the only thing I enjoyed. When serving seafood platter, seafood should be fresh, especially when your paying $90. We asked for take away boxes, I took it home and feed the cats.

Food was good, cheese pizza with sweet chilli sauce 10/10, butter chicken pizza 6/10, wedges w/ sour cream,sweet chilli 10/10, teriyaki chicken with salad 7/10. Great music, Tidy establishment and a very clean lavatory. Really great service of been welcomed in from the security team that was on lastnight, but unfortunately the opposite from the bar side, the Indian manager I’m assuming that was on, His slightly undertone of a sarcastic gesture did show on his face and the way he replied every time I asked him a question. I asked him if our table could split six ways for the payment of our food and I asked him If I could pay for two of the split payments ‘how much would it be’ and he replied ‘It’s up to you’ which I thought was quite rude and I had to repeat myself and asked him again looking as his facial expression as it differs into a lifeless statue. It wasn’t even busy inside so I couldn’t seem to understand for his rude behaviour even my other work colleagues had said he was rude to them when they went to purchase at the counter, please management follow up and ensure this doesn’t happen again, service is key and it really was a big let down.

Republic Bar and Kitchen just like to let you know your customer service is not so grand my son bought a voucher for us for Christmas we came in today to use it and we were told that we have to book ok fair enough so I asked if I ring and book can we get in and was told no they were fully booked today and tomorrow despite not one single person sitting inside. so we left and I called to see if I could make a booking and was told by another staff member that they don't take bookings on the weekend only take walk ins different story. stop selling grab one vouchers online and deceiving customers that they can use them when u have restrictions not stated on the voucher not happy not the best way to treat your customers when u need the people through the door 😡😡😡

Easy parking, good chips. Didn't have a meal, just there for work drinks. Not our first choice of venue but someone forgot to book a table at a fantastic competing bar that sounds like Would Slide down the road (real name not used to keep review 'valid'). They ran out of Malibu (after supplying just one), had no lemonade, no Southern Comfort, no apologies. Toilets are upstairs and isolated, not ideal. Venue itself lacks good lighting and feels neglected. Past it's glory days.

Pleasantly surprised. Small pre Christmas team meal. Booked table on line. The allocated table was a bit high traffic they happily relocated us to a quiet corner. Food portions large and we'll presented, fairly priced. Will visit again
