😠 Kind of disappointed on staff that works here.     Kind of disappointed on staff that works here. Went in to order an iPhone and one of the staff members came to assist me while I was playing with the display model, he told me the waiting time is around 1-2 weeks, didn’t mention anything else. Then when I said I want to go through and place an order in, he starts to mention this spark discount (which is not something I needed) and why I should order through spark. If I have to order through spark then the total is over 200$ when if I want the phone just by it self it 184$ per month. After he told me all about the info with spark I said I’m not willing to switch to spark and all I want is the phone order. He then starts being rude to me and told me the waiting time for it is not 2-4 months (earlier he told me it was 1-2 weeks). I get that he gets a little commission out of it, but any staff should follow what the customer wants and respect them.

    Terrible overall experience. I get called out/shouted at 3 aisles away instead of walking up and offering to assist. I take WHITE snowball at $109 as per ticket only to find it is $149. Person brings me the BLACK one for $109, but ticket shows $149. Then goes looking in store room for WHITE one. To top it off, I am standing at the designated exit pay point where there is no one, only to be told to go to the entrance side, because he is there. Defies logic. Took so much longer than it should have. To top it off the competition was $27 cheaper. So check your pricing carefully before to avoid further frustration.

    I bought Panasonic 494L French door fridge. Within six months, one had already been replaced and another brand new, not cooling properly. I have contacted Harvey Norman and requested the technician to come and see. The TeleTech (Panasonic) people did not come and check my fridge after two weeks of my continuous request. My baby food through away many times due to the fridge cooling issue. Manukau store, Staff Panida and Teletech staff have been rolling the ball last two weeks. Very disappointed with the purchase, and I will never buy products from Harvey Norman. IV- 20/3319433

    I purchased prezzy card in this store, and the card is not loaded money, the second day I went to store and the customer service told me it was not the card they sold, they think I am cheating them, finally I called prezzy card was told the card is scammer using it. That is why the card number is different with the card package, so the store should be aware of this issue, but the customer service not check carefully and made me feel rude, they not trust people and just think about people will cheat them money, omg.......

    After our house flooded I was delighted to be able to go and replace things after our epic AMI insurance were so helpful . BUT …The furniture sales team are the worst!!! Unhelpful , unaware of the range and sent me to bedding for an armchair .as soon as they knew it was an insurance claim they didn’t care ….. no commission on those sales I bet . The insurance team are absolutely amazing though and such a pleasure to deal with and so professional . With so much competition clearly Harvey Norman doesn’t want to retain customers because the harder you make it the easier it is to go to your competitors .

    We came here probably a month ago,we went looking for a washing machine & we were helped out by this gentleman Mr Tom Hu who worked there. He was very kind,polite & helpful to us. We got what we were looking for as well. The machine functions well,thanks to the two Fijian Indian gentlemen who delivered to our home & installed it & stabilized the weak floor in our washroom. Tom & the two delivery gentlemen deserves a 5 star service from us as well as the store. Thank you very much,Harvey Norman Manukau branch.

    Why are the sales guys in computers so horrible and so disinterested when you refuse to spend a lot of money ie no product care, set up of the machine lying that you have to have it done otherwise ? Grateful for PB Tech telling me I can do it myself. Id rather pay someone else to fix a faulty machine than have to deal with bad customer service.

    Went to buy a laptop, wanted a specific model. Got sold it but the person selling it to me gave me different specs without explicitly telling me. Went again a day after and told me that it was intentional on his part and he was trying to give me the best value for money. This unfortunately gives me a very wrong impression. After research the product was better but I dislike that they were not upfront about it, and explained that before giving me something other than what I was asking for. It is to the point I'd rather pay a higher amount elsewhere then shop here again.

    For anyone one else shopping at Harvey Norman Furnitures store, make sure you are getting the best deal by checking it over their online website. All of the items may be cheaper as it is run by totally separate team/departments, delivery charge at the store is almost doubled the price at the store compare to online.

    It was my son's first birthday I ordered a canvas print and it was done absolutely unprofessional they chopped off one arm out from my son's picture and charged me $60...reason I didn't go back because I don't have the receipt on me but never again will I ever go to this particular store for anything,it was devastating,what's the point paying money and receiving such unprofessional result.His picture was looking so bad. I will never recommend anyone to go get your canvas prints here. Save your money get it from somewhere else. Bad experience. If there was zero stars option I wid have given a big zero.

    I wasn’t sure how many stars I should give this review, so stuck to two. While I realise this is not HN fault, and they did try, but could’ve tried a lot harder, and also with the factory that made my lounge suite. The woman who owns it was very pleasant, but really I felt out of her depth, a 3 seater that I paid just over $2000 for and cash at that, has that many faults, I’ve had numerous people in my home to try and rectify it, advice from my son, which I’ll leave out. The suite is far from right and really it should’ve been replaced, with a new one, so people check your suites when you get them, maybe I’ve just had bad luck, it sure seems it, I’ve now given up trying to do anything, no one seems to want to know, I even sent an email to the factory in hope that the woman was organising some cushions to be made for it, which of course I was paying for, that was about 2 weeks ago now, and I’ve heard nothing, however I’m not surprised as I was the one doing the chasing all the time, how do I feel, very disappointed, that no one from HN has made contact with me to see how it is now, I’ll never purchase another thing from them, my son did warn me, so now I’ll be looking to a better firm and another new lounge suite. Disgusted and disappointed, quick enough to take your money, but not interested in following through, when there is a problem with said lounge suite.

    First time in the store went in to buy Galaxy note an year ago, was not treated well. I asked the sales person if there was any promos going on, usually Samsung has combo with watch, ear buds etc. I got a watch in my previous purchase with Noel Leeming. Without understanding what I was getting it, he cut me off rudely and said there is no discounts, this is the final price. I just wanted the phone, pay cash up front $1,300 and leave. He made me feel like I couldn't afford it, he's tone changed the moment I told him I just want the phone, here's my money. Coming back after an year, same with another staff telling me not to worry HN will not keep my money for an item on back order, again I purchased a Delonghi grill worth $368 which is the last of its kind, I told her its not about the money ! Its missing out on the opportunity to purchase it else where. Instead of toying with me, make it clear if HN can fulfill or not. Ended up cancelling the order anyway, Admin staff tells me there is only 2 of them working through 200 emails, am sorry but how is your staffing issues my problem? I work in supply chain, I don't get to tell my customers that I have 200 emails before I'll get to yours, it comes with the job. All I asked was to receive an email confirmation to ensure my request has been registered. I did not ask for my money back overnight, I understand these things take time but I received no notification to justify a return is in progress, any thing in writing is better than word of mouth. Noel Leeming has treated us well over 11 years and they manage to retain their staff, same people I met couple years ago. I only shop at HN as a last resort. I really feel for this store and its staff, its a different vibe, jaded...

    This is such a big store that it’s really easy to get a little bit overwhelmed. I particularly love to browse through all their furniture styling because they do this well and you always feel like buying new cushions and through for the bed. The staff are very attentive and helpful (probably because they are incentivised to be).

    I have been to this store and been looked after by a wonderful salesman. His name is Samson and he was extremely helpful and friendly. His customer service is awesome and would recommend him to anyone. He is an asset to this company.

    Was looking for a portable speaker and tested a few sounds there. Staff came and told me to turn it down so she can answer phone placed right next to speakers. Maybe not a good idea to put a desk phone next to them if there's an option to test the sound. Did leave with the JBL Flip 6 for $180. Sound quality is 👌

    If I could one star, I would. Went there this morning to get a photo printed. The staff there were so unenthusiastic and unhelpful. They only pointed to the general area where the photo kiosks were but didn’t offer anymore help. As someone who works in customer service, I was appalled.

    What an absolute nightmare of an experience here. This is why nobody bothers with retail anymore. After asking the product to be held in store for me, I showed up the next day to collect. I genuinely had to speak to 4 different people, get dragged around the store to find the product & then sat down at 2 different desks by a salesperson to complete the sale. No I don’t want product insurance, no I don’t want to buy a USB add-on. I can’t believe how ancient & slow this store feels. I’ll 100% stick to online shopping moving forward.

    I have purchased couple of TVs and few other items from Harvey Norman Manukau. I used the Gem visa for interest free and wanted to add docking station (with price match from PBtech) to my total purchase, but they denied price match on gem visa. The person from the TV department advised the computer being a separate department he can't help with price match but he did help us with price match on TVs. I can't understand how one company has 2 different set of rules for different department. I always shop from Noel Leeming and always had great experience as they work as a team that's something missing at Harvey Norman. Only reason to purchase TV from Harvey Norman is they were out of stock at Noel Leeming... The person I dealt with Madhav was very helpful but the structure they have different department was make you feel you are dealing with 2 separate companies...

    No issue when buying from this branch, but a very different story when trying to get a refund. I was redirected from the checkout to 3-4 people, only to end up back at the checkout. The department manager came up, try to offer alternative solutions and eventually agree to refund. He asked me to join the queue and said he will tell the other staff to process refund. After half hour wait, he’s nowhere to be seen but instead busy elsewhere. An elderly customer see that I was flustered and try to reassure me that the store is great and they will process your refund. The store manager eventually came up and told me that they can refuse a refund if it is within their right. This is where it gets me really fired up, when department manager has agreed to refund and now I have to explain myself again. I came in just wanting a refund for a product that did not work for me (everything is still new). They made the whole process so difficult and ridiculed me as a customer. When I eventually got my refund, I genuinely thanked the store manager but I heard them making fun of me as I head out of the store. Honestly, I felt disgusted and there’s no way that I would ever come back here again. Have had much better experience at other branches.

    great customer service from a pleasant lady this morning helping me set up norton (that we bought from there months ago)on my laptop. Couldn't of asked for better service...never had that in the past. Finally someone there that can give satisfying customer service at Manukau.

    Service outstanding. Staff have great product knowledge 5 Range huge. We were looking for sofas and I would say the largest range in Auckland. Something for everyone 5 Price excellent. There were lots of sales. Should think about EDLP if not already doing it 5 Facilities great. Lots of parking, clean and wheelchair friendly 5 Overall 5

    Worst customer service experience. Went to buy a specific model and specific colour for MacBook Pro. The staff sold a different colour stating it’s the one I wanted. First he said we don’t have the model you looking for, then his fellow staff asked him to check on the system and then he gave the wrong colour. Today went again to change it, took them nearly 20-25 mins to change the piece from their store.

    My partner and I had the worse experience here . We went in to purchase a speaker the guy at the back I assume was a prop pointed us towards the right direction which we appreciated but well we were looking at it a cashier came up out of nowhere and snatched the speaker out of my partners hands not even saying a word so we ignored her and continued speaking about if we should get it or not we finally settled and the lady said “Are you done” my gf said yes so the lady took us to a computer didn’t want to listen on how to spell her name and then took our payment after asking 4 times to do genoapay. Will never return to this store ever again.

    Brought over $11,000 cash with the furniture furniture was broken on delivery and cost me to ring Austrialia. The phone line call service is faulty. Service from staff follow up was okay. I am not going to recommend them again. I shopped with them for over 15 years. 👎 Covid maybe🙃

    Shop here quite often for electronics and lounge suites. Over the weekend we purchased a lounge suite from Jaime who was relatively new but defs sounded like he knew what he was doing, confident, friendly and really showed he enjoyed what he did. We also dealt with a lovely guy in the TV department who was very professional, honest, and efficient with his service - wish i got your name! Otherwise every other experience over the years has always been lovely.

    I bought a new plug, phone cover and screen protector for my Galaxy phone yesterday. The person who served me was very helpful and gave good advice about using the Smart Switch app. He approached me immediately on entering the accessories department. Such a good experience.
