👍👍 The tower and the hill it lies on provides a perfect panorama over Vilnius. This is a must do if you visit Vilnius. Please be careful on the climb to the tower during snow as it’s very slippery. The funicular is cheap and great during bad weather. 1€ one way. People often mention Vilnius, view, tower, hill, city, great,

Great tower and viewing area. Once part of a very large fortified defence system that covered the entire beautiful old town of Vilnius. Stunning views from the tower and there is a half decent museum inside. €6 entry fees.

A splendid exquisite natural formation. I can't help thinking how great it is, how well it stands here, at the confluence of two glorious rivers (Vilnia and Neris). How fortunate it turned out to be for this city. And that splendid legend about King Gediminas, and about his dream about the iron eagle, is magnificent and very appropriate.

Можно посетить один раз. Небольшой подъем по лестнице. Для ленивых есть платный подъемник. В хорошую погоду, наверно, лучше подниматься для осмотра. Мы были когда моросило, тучи, сильный ветер, было очень холодно.

Stunning panoramic view of Vilnius from the heart of Old Town at the top of a former castle. You can either walk up, from the side of the hill, or pay €1 to ride the gondola up and walk down, or €2 to ride the gondola both ways. The walk itself isn’t too long, so I’d opt for walking at least one of the ways.

Symbol of Vilnius. Hard to skip this place. Small remainder of Vilnius castle.

This was a hardcore experience. It was snowing and there were loads of steps. If you are smarter than me, you might say, there is a cable car? I saw it when I was at the top, haha, life! It was worth it though! Stunning views, the tower is super cute! I definitely recommend it! Cable car is 1€ each way (for those who don't want to sweat)

You can either walk up by foot (for free) or take the tram. The view from the top is great, and gives a full panorama view of the whole city. You can also go into the tower itself, which holds a museum, but it costs extra.

The views are fascinating! Don't miss it! It's also nice to take a tour inside and learn about the tower's history, but not necessary.

🇬🇧 A very interesting hill. After climbing several stairs, we are at the top. It is worth going here to see this nice viewpoint. Very nice for the whole panorama of Vilnius. 🇵🇱 Bradzo ciekawe wzgórze. Pokonując kilkanascie schodów jesteśmy na górze. Warto tutaj wejść by zobaczyć ten fajny punkt widokowy.

The best panoramic view of Vilnius) Climbing can be done on foot or take a cable car. You will enjoy an outstanding view of Vilnius old town on the one hand and see new areas of the city on the other.

The old hill castle of Vilnius. It has been restored but there is not much left. Still a great experience to climb up the last remaining tower and get a 360° view of city!

Nice views, you can walk or take a funicular ride to the top. Entrance fee to tower, you can see whole old and new city from here! Worth going up there, drinks available from vending machine at the top!

From the hill there is a magnificent view of the whole city. It is definitely worth climbing. It is not difficult at all, or you can use the cable car. Unless you want to go inside the museum, you won't spend a penny. There is also a parking lot close to the hill. This is must in Vilnius.

Breathtaking panoramas of Vilnius at 360 degrees (more or less)! You can ascend by foot (more like stairs, in truth) or by using a small cabin in the museum courtyard- not well signalled or visible from the street so pay attention and try to guess. Just 1€ per trip up or down. From top of the hill the view is simply amazing, at every time of day!

The location is nice and the view is probably the best in Vilnius but the older lady "greeting" people at the front door of the tower was extremely rude. We asked if we can go to the top of the tower and instead of just answering the question, she rudely said "ask the ticket counter." After buying tickets, we also asked her how do we get to the top, and again, instead of just simply answering the question, she tells us "check the signs." She was very unhelpful which made us wonder what was her purpose there. If you're unhappy with your life and don't like interacting with people then you shouldn't work in the tourist industry. She was the only negative experience we had during our trip to Vilnius, everyone else we interacted with was friendly.
