July
5
of
this
year.
a
patient
was
brought
from
the
Tauragė
hospital
after
a
knee
joint
operation.
July
10
all
the
sutures
were
removed,
after
a
few
days
the
suture
about
2
cm
opened,
it
started
bleeding.
The
nurse
tried
to
tighten
the
open
seam
with
a
simple,
non-sterile
patch,
which
I
think
is
a
lack
of
competence
here.
They
were
also
told
not
to
press
the
emergency
call
button,
because
the
nurses
themselves
would
come
to
administer
pain
medication,
but
the
medication
was
never
administered.
After
the
patient
complained
of
severe
pain
and
bleeding
from
the
wound
on
July
15.
the
doctor
on
duty
was
called,
who,
without
removing
the
bandage
from
the
wound,
assessed
the
condition
-
he
said
that
this
is
how
it
should
be
after
the
operation.
Although
the
patient
was
bleeding
profusely
from
the
incision
site
for
a
week
after
the
sutures
were
removed,
no
attention
was
paid
to
it.
The
patient
was
in
great
pain
and
attended
all
procedures
with
an
open
wound.
July
18
the
patient
was
taken
to
the
Klaipėda
emergency
and
reception
department,
and
was
admitted
to
the
traumatology
department
as
a
matter
of
urgency.
The
following
day,
the
operation
was
performed,
and
the
permanent
knee
prosthesis
was
removed.
Due
to
the
negligent
attitude
of
the
Palanga
Rehabilitation
Hospital
towards
the
patient,
his
condition,
after
the
opening
of
the
wound,
an
infection
appeared,
as
a
result
of
which
the
wound
suppurated.
According
to
Klaipėda
doctors,
the
patient
was
brought
to
the
Klaipėda
hospital
too
late,
with
a
dilated
5-6
cm.
an
infected
wound
where
the
knee
implant
is
already
visible.
It
is
very
disappointing
that
nowadays
there
can
be
such
an
attitude
towards
the
patient,
his
neglect.
Now
a
long
and
complicated
treatment
awaits.
Stress
for
both
the
patient
and
his
relatives.
Maybe
if
you
had
chosen
another
rehabilitation
hospital,
this
would
not
have
happened.
The
patient
has
more
than
one
operation
in
the
future.
If
such
doctors
continue
to
work,
they
will
also
be
negligent
towards
other
patients
and
their
health.
I
sincerely
wish
to
"pass"
this
institution.
