Achtung!!!!

The beach, the pavement and surrounding is looking completely unkempt ( scruffy, neglected). The showers are primitive. The beach/sand is looking grey with some stones inside. The footpath is damaged and small. No lifeguards were to be seen. In May no flags are showing if you are allowed to swim or not. I have seen no Bars on the way. There is only a Hotel-Bar and a Restaurant with Bar. When it is windy or stormy all the sand is laying on the footpath. The reason is there is no small wall to protect it. Although it is not allowed to ride with bicycles daily we have seen them. Nobody is controling it. Dogs are not allowed but people walk with them! The government seems to have no concept or money to renovate it. Opposite you can find a lot of skyscrapes where you can buy an Apartment for Millions of € !!!

Very nice and clean beach. You can rent a sun bed for €2.50 and a shaded tent for €2.50 per day. There is a nice lady who will also bring you food to your sunbed. Its standard kind of food, nothing special but the service is great. I recommend the halumi sandwich and fries.

Beautiful and interesting place, there is a parking lot with some showers and changing rooms, I think this can be a bit upgraded but we were thankful to have them. From the 🅿️ you can access the beach through a tunnel. It is definitely worth a visit, but I would spend the whole day here with one hour is enough.

Lovely beach protected by rocks on either side and buoys out in the distance. Easy to get to from the bus stop by going down a set of stairs between the hotels. Very quiet in the winter, it was great.

Nice and clean beach for spending time in the sun, swiming and doing water activities. The beach itself is quite wide and the sand is a greysh color and fine. Great for beach voley also and kids play, as well as team building activities. Along the beach is a nice paved sidewalk that goes for many kilometers. Public toilets and running water for shower and feet washing in proximity.

A lovely Myth of Aphrodite and beautiful beach. But I was expecting a Statue of her and could only find her Statue in the Souvenirs shop.

This beach area is clean and tidy. A blue flag area 2019. Parts have a lifeguard lookout . The sand is grey but ok. Some hotel areas have private frontage. On other sections sunbeds can be cheaply rented. Some watersports nearby. Follow the coastal path to Limassol.

Majestic place. Beautiful beach with a history. You can also climb a big stone if you are brave enough 🤫😁

It's a nice view but no sand. Not easy with children.

Really nice! Aphrodite’s mythical birthplace ‘Petra tou Romiou’ is an interesting geological formation of huge rocks along one of the most beautiful coastlines on the island, located on the southwest coast of the Pafos (Paphos) district. According to the legend, the Ancient Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty - Aphrodite - was born of the sea foam here. Legend tells that she rose from the waves and was escorted on a shell to this particular beach. The giant rock formations, which are seen at the same location are linked with another - more recent - legend which tells that the Byzantine hero Digenis Akritas heaved them there to keep the Saracens Arabs (7th-10th centuries) at bay. The name of Petra tou Romiou (‘rock of the Greek’ in Greek) comes from the hero.
