Uncountably the best food ever had in Belgrade ....Loved the ambiance and service ... The dishes were served in mud pot which had a local tradition ...

I ate dinner on Sunday. All night Sun/Mon I spent on the toilet vomiting. Three of four people which was with me had the same issues. Today is my fifth day with diarrhea. I'm not sure but may caused by Boemski Cevap.

I love embracing local culture and flavors, which led me to discover this authentic restaurant. I visited twice and both times confirmed the genuine food and the kindness of the staff. Hvala puno to the waiter who took care of me on both occasions. I'm truly grateful for the warmth he provided, making my evenings serene and enjoyable. The food is outstanding, portions are generous, and the ambiance is fantastic. Whenever I return to Belgrade, this restaurant will be my go-to spot. I highly recommend it!

Terrific traditional Serbian restaurant. Food was excellent prices were fair. Server was attentive and very nice. The goulash was so good, highly recommend. We also had the pork stew with peppers and the karadjordjeva steak. Both were terrific.

Seems to be a Serbian "comfort food" restaurant, with many simple yet classic salads, meat, and vegetable dishes. Easily understandable, menu in Serbian and English. Reasonable prices and portion sizes. This place appears to be popular with both tourists and locals.

English is not a problem here, the menu is in Serbian and English and the staff is able to describe the dishes in English. The choice is made easier by the photos of dishes on the menu so you can get an idea of what to expect from the food. Unfortunately, in the evening staff told us that it is not possible to choose from the "cooked meals" category, because they only cook them for lunch. The other meals always have chips as a side dish, if you'd prefer another side dish such as vegetables, you're out of luck. The meat was good. Service was fast. You can pay by card.

The food is very good but relatively expensive. Perhaps if they had parking, the price would be justified.

Traditional Serbian food. We went to two different shops of Zavičaj in different areas of Belgrade, and both were great. The portion is huge and their homemade cake is delicious.

I chose this place because I wanted to try some traditional Serbian food. Everything was according to the expectation: good food, fast and professional service and pleasant location. I wish I had an extra stomach to try as many dishes as possible as they have plenty of choices. I recommend the plejcavica. I ordered the small one but I found the portion to be pretty big.

It is a place you should definitely go with a reservation, but you should definitely go. I can't think of a place where you can take a closer look at the Serbian taste, be enchanted by its decoration, and where the menu can help so much while choosing a meal. Try the local beer.

When every plate has the restaurant name imprinted on it, you know they are serious about their food! Decor was uniquely traditional, felt like transported back to a different era. So surreal. I hope the restaurant will keep it that way. We had the beef goulash recommended by our friendly waitress and the sopska salad. For dessert, we had the cake. Everything was simply amazing! Toilets were clean and there was a non-smoking section which we appreciated. Our last meal in Belgrade and we were so happy to be here.

It's a place where they have a lot of dishes. It's all fast food and the portions are bigger than what a regular person can eat, but it's good. I'd say it's a good value for money.

Very nice place to enjoy Balkan cuisine. Reasonable prices and portions (not so huge as you might expect from reviews). Quite a lot of tourists. We loved steak karadžordžev, roasted peppers with cheese and baklava.

I will give 4 and not 5 stars because of the prices, it was expensive compared to other places where you can eat traditional food. Besides that, the food was tasty, the portions were fair and the staff was helpful.

A traditional restaurant of Serbian cuisine, with an authentic and interesting ambience. The service is fast, the staff is always extremely friendly, and the food is excellent. The restaurant is highly recommended. Especially for foreign tourists who want to taste the taste of real Serbian cuisine and traditional Serbian hospitality.

Amazing food, best restaurant in Belgrade. WiFi password: belgrade Prices are accordingly high. Totally worth to visit to try real traditional Serbian good, good crafted beer. Don't forget to buy bread for cheap price, it is excellent as well. We took bohemian kebab for 2 personnes for 2590 dinars = around 25€.

I can only say positive things: the food was great with large portion sizes. The menu itself was very helpful to choose something since all items have pictures attached. The waiters spoke good english and were very friendly. If you're looking to try very tasty Serbian food, you should come here!

I had an excellent dinner and dessert at Zavičaj! They have an extensive traditional menu to choose from and the food was delicious. Super attentive and kind staff as well. The non-section smoking section was a plus as well (and a rarity in Belgrade) as a non-smoker. I’d definitely recommend a stop here for anyone looking to try traditional fare!

First time in Serbia and my first time eating Serbian food, we had a feast of meats (mixed grilled), the pork is a must, crispy and salty as it should be,😁, wine from the country and the local liqueur made with quince, apricots and plums! Great service!

Great local food! We ordered 3 dishes, the best one was the roast chicken, it’s one of the best I’ve had so far, highly recommended! The grilled squid is also very nice, and the food is served in generous portions.

Very tasty food for quite HIGH prices, but it was worth for me. Fortunately smoking is not allowed inside, that’s very comfortable. Staff can speak English and Russian too. Waiting was not too long, the waiter was friendly. I liked that place, I’d recommend to try it some day! Dinner for two was 3500 RSD…

This goes out to every foreigner like myself. This is the typical tourist trap situation. Presented like "tradition food" they lure people in and charge an absurd amount of money that in no way reflects the quality of the food. Food and service was ok at best. Through the decoration they try to sell the traditional part and that is fine with me. But in no way can you charge this much for such a quality. This amount of money could get you dinner at a fancy restaurant instead.

It was so delicious and so great that I even can’t find the right words. The piece of cake 🍰 was just in the end as a dessert, but before we tried the soup, salad, traditional flat bread and corn 🧁 with cheese. But the main dish with beef was the real deal - amazing. Also, I never eat the 🧅 onions, but here I ate almost everything in the salad, it was tasted different here in Serbia and I don’t have trouble with my stomach! It is just a miracle of Serbian cuisine!

Very good traditional Serbian food. Portion size is just about right (which means it's a little smaller than what is typically served in this type of restaurants, and I really like that, as I can breathe after 😅)

This place is unbelievably authentic. You will feel real taste and that specific serbian touch if you try any traditional dish. Customer focused, motivated and dedicated personnel. With traditional decoration and traditional music playing at the background complete joy for all senses if you are looking for real traditional serbian restaurant in Belgrade, serving homemade food. The food is too heavy. Price is not bad. The service is terrible

They had no olive oil no matter if they told me they did. Literally they lied to me in the face and, when I told it to the waiter, he said that in Serbia they did not have olive trees and that they import the olives. For sure, on the menu one of the dishes to order is olives, seems curious, right? It is a tourist trap. The food was okay but considerably overpriced taking into consideration that I did not order any alcohol.

Old style kafana very famous for tourist next to the old train station. Reservation is recomendeed also for a single person if you want to eat inside in the warm... Food is very good and the price is correct, but the service is a little slow. The karadordeva snicla its huge and very good! Payament with card accepted.

We were a group of 7 starving girls who needed a hearty traditional meal. The restaurant is not very large but felt cozy. We were in the non-smoking section and tried many delicious dishes. We even tried local red wine which was chilled, something I am not used to. The sausage, fries and pork dishes were tasty!

Our first dinner in Belgrade, we thought we'd try some local food and this place did not disappoint. So much variety and everything we chose tasted great. Staff was friendly as well.

We found this place randomly while walking around in our first night and took our chance to find a table. I'm so glad we did! It became my favorite restaurant in Belgrade. The food is authentic, the portions are huge, and the atmosphere is lovely. Not a touristic place at all and I loved it. The staff knows English well. We ordered the house wine and it was delicious. Try the "Sarma" and thank me later. Everything was at a great price we were so surprised.

A typical Serbian restaurant with friendly, polite and knowledgeable service. Nice live music, which entertains and does not disturb. The food is so-so, all a bit salty and not of particular quality. The ambience is quaint and very nice

Wow! This place was so nice. There was lots of seating inside and out. They had an English menu, thanks, with so many options, and pictures. I can't remember what this was called but it was amazing mashed potatoes butter and big chunks of beef so tender I could break it with my fork. I hope to be back soon.

Today I was there for the first time. Interior of the restaurant is great, nice folklore elements incorporated in it. Its nice and pleasant. The food is great(not the best I ate but still very good) Personel are fast and polate. When I go there it was crowded with people, but I didnt wait long for my order. Its little bit pricey. Still, I recomend this place if you are in dontown.

Serbian cuisine restaurant. The baked pepper with cheese was too marinated, it had an awful vinegar flavor, but the idea was good. Beef goulash was mediocre, I be had much better, both mains were over salted. Service is okay, but not very attentive
