Beautiful nature, all new road.

Surrounded by peaceful atmosphere. Good for hiking, meditation, listening inner self or weekend family getaway. No restaurants are there please bring your food and drinks.

Very beautiful and quite place. Many buddistuc pictures on rocks. Museums were closed, mb coz its winter. Anyway I was glad to visit the place. Unfortunatley place is very far from UB and I came only at 5 PM.

Historical place for Buddhist.

Old temple with very beautiful nature. Its quite convenient to go to there from the city, also not many people go and see it, so its not crowded. Anyone who wants to see some historical scene and enjoy beautiful nature, it will be good trip to there. There were some cheap entrance fee, price around 1000mnt only for per car.

former monastery site. the 'musem' is a joke with badly stuffed animals, but the settings and area is truly nice. feels a bit derelict, the kiosk store at parking lot waves from decades ago.

On the other side of the mountains that face onto UB, you’ll find this once glorious monastery. You can’t help but get chills as you walk up to what’s left of its former glory knowing that the complex was burned and monks butchered. Such peaceful surrounds make it difficult to comprehend. Apparently, it is possible to walk through the hills to get here from UB but you need a day.

It's the closest day out from the Ulaanbaatar. If you want to do a full day hiking, that's the place I would recommend.

Hidden gem outside of UB. You have to drive or get a taxi to take you to the other side of Bogd Khan mountain. Quite and serene place.
