This is pretty interesting and stylish mosque. So the man in the mausoleum had on his clothes some hairs of the prophet?

Beautiful mausoleum with many engaged couples going to seek their blessings. Incredible Arabic architecture. The mausoleum itself is only accessible for muslims but the guy at the door will push you down on the doorstep so you can get a view of the incredible chandelier inside

Beautiful tile work throughout the many rooms leading to the room holding the sarcophagus. With covered legs, heads, and shoulders, one is allowed to go in all except for the last anti-room. Beautiful structure, well worth the trip.

This mausoleum is of great importance to the Islamic world. There is inside a famous tomb of Abu Zamaa el-Balaoui, a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. It is visited by many Muslims that visit Tunisia. The art work inside the walled mosque are beautifully tiled with repeating patterns, and also white plaster that is carved with intricate Arabic designs. Non Muslims cannot enter the tomb area. It is well worth a visit on the trail of Kairouan and covered by the one off payment of 12 dinar to enter the town’s historic sites.

This is a beautiful building! So many amazing tiles and the details are impressive. I recommend hiring a guide before coming here because there is not a lot of information provided otherwise.

Considering I'm Muslim, it's a really renowned location for us Tunisians. Beautiful Mausoleum, even includes (alledgedly) a letter from the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) before he left for Kairouan
