Visited this restaurant three times now, and decided to revisit and took my daughter and husband for lunch again yesterday. It was 32 degrees and waited in an empty restaurant for 15 minutes for a drink! Shops were giving customers drinks at the door. We were relaxed and said nothing. Then my daughter was told off for having a flower water bottle. We certainly were not drinking from it, but quite frankly, ask us what we want to drink, as I said it was 32 degrees outside. We said nothing waited for our food. The food is ok. I had the steak dish along with my husband. I’ll add a photo to be fair. However when I went to pay I was treated in a way no restaurant has ever treated me. Hands were waving and fingers pointing about me not paying cash or with a Girocard. I don’t have a girocard I was paying with my private bank account. For 10 minutes I had stress over them telling me how they won’t get their money for 3 months and…and…and… I was really embarrassed and upset. It certainly does not take 3 months for payment to reach the business because this would be against banking regulations and would create a very unstable economy if payments were being so slow. I also don’t walk around with 108€ in my purse. I paid and left and went to put more value on my car. I had a text from my bank to alert me of the payment and walked back to show them, to reassure that it does not take 3 months…. That was a mistake as they went off at me again. I was only trying to make them feel better, but the reaction was shocking. I had hands flying around my face, shouting, two fingers wagging in the air around me, and it was very confrontational. I was close to calling the police it was so bad. I hope they read this and think about their behaviour. It ruined my day and made me feel quite ill. I do not like to upset people and this was quite upsetting and unacceptable. So make sure you have cash or giro - I would certainly never wish to visit there again. Why would anyone treat a customer so bad? Weird. It’s not just about food it’s about the whole experience. We went out to celebrate something, not be told off so rudely and inappropriately. Waving fingers and pointing in Germany is confrontational behaviour and 5 times I asked one lady to stop. I was told that: „this is how I communicate“. Then I suggest you rethink that. All this because I didn’t pay cash. They never even gave me a receipt for my payment. Terrible experience. It costs nothing to be kind and polite and if you can’t be kind to customers then you really shouldn’t be running a business.

Das leckerste Restaurant was ich kenne ! Wir wollten schon immer die Koreanische Küche probieren und waren einfach baff als wir dann bei Namu waren. Von dem super super lieben und freundlichen Personal brauchen wir erst garnicht anfangen da Sie, wie gesagt einfach super lieb waren !!❤️ Man hat sich so willkommen gefühlt was wirklich selten ist. Da es einfach so lecker war sind wir innerhalb einem Monat direkt zwei mal hingefahren und haben eine Strecke von 120km hin und zurück 2 mal abgelegt. Das zweite mal haben wir direkt die ganze Familie mitgebracht die natürlich auch hin und weg waren vom Essen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen ☺️ bis bald 😄

The japchae was good, just a bit different and saucy than what I’m used to. Restaurant is located in a nice area.

Excellent Korean restaurant! Taste is amazing, portion is a lot, super satisfying! If I can give a suggestion though the kimchi jjigae is not as hot as I expected, and was hoping it would be served at the same time as my main dish. I never eat kimchi jjigae as an appetizer 🤣 also please serve all food at once. I got my kimchi jjigae first, had to wait for 10 mins then I got my rice, had to wait again to get my bulgogi. If everything is served altogether, 10 stars!

Krass, wie gut etwas vegetarisches schmeckt wenn's koreanisch zubereitet ist ;) Hier schmeckt alles. Kommt also gleich 5 Mal vorbei damit ihr nichts verpasst ;)

Nice corean food! We went without reservation and it worked just fine. They have places inside and outside, but outside seems way better. They have a pretty big menu - we tried the fried chicken and the bibimbap. The food was excellent! They said it would take 30 min (which was nice to know in advance)... but it actually came before, so it was a nice surprise. Would like to come back, I would really recommend to try it

Terrific place for Korean food. I was here during 4th of July weekend for an event and my fiancé and we were looking for a place for dinner. We appreciated that this place was open late as we flew in that day from the US. Everything we ordered tasted homemade as the food tasted fresh. Being Korean and having high standards for Korean food, I'd say the food was good and fulfilled my craving for my comfort foods. I wouldn't necessarily say "really authentic" as it is Germany, but I think having variations and fusions are welcome and encouraged as long as it tastes good! I loved that there was outdoor seating so that we could take in the views and enjoy the perfect evening weather. The staff was kind and helpful. The only thing I wish they had was banchan (반찬) or the "side dishes." We had to order kimchi as a side. Other than that, we would definitely come here again if we ever find ourselves again in Dortmund!

Currently the best Korean restaurant I visited outside of Korea. If you like Korean food, don't hesitate. The price is cheap, the service is great and the food is delicious 😋

The food here was very tasty. It's one of the best Korean restaurant in Dortmund are where u get varieties of Korean food and drinks. Highly recommended for the people who want to try Korean food.

Alles war sehr lecker. Das bulgogi hat fast wir vom Holzkohlengrill geschmeckt!!! Beim Händchen hätte mehr Salat bei sein können. Ich werde wieder kommen! Sehr lecker!

A lovely little restaurant in a quiet corner of Dortmund. The service was friendly and quick, the food was delicious (and when they say the food's spicy, it actually is so!). All in all a very good experience!

Good tasty korean food! I really like their Mandu and bimbimbap. Bulgogi beef was really soft and good as well! Would recommend this place

Authentic Korean Food, the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) is especially delicious.

I loved it! Went last night for the first time. The food was delicious (we had Jukjeon and Mandu variations as starters, then shared the beef bulgogi, duck and fried chicken). Super tasteful, perfect portion size, super friendly staff. Will go there many more times! The only thing- it was quite cold as we sat near the door.

Super tasty! I had meal here a few years ago, and this time when I came back to Dortmund I had to come here again for the food. The beef soup with glassnoodle was so good, and the chicken too. They're a little bit sweet as it's Korean, however we don't feel heavy at all. The portion in the pictures was enough for 2 people.

Very delicious. If you didn't decide what to eat yet, I recommend 'Osam bulgogi'.

The food was really nice! The service was really good! The price was okish, a bit expensive -) The Korean beef soup was very chill! I like it, but see whether you can handle it. The fried chicken was so good! Highly recommended!

Great food overall. The beef was really good, just not tender enough. The fried chicken was absolutely amazing, as well as the fried tofu. The dessert was very well balanced and not too sweet.

Super leckeres und schmackhaftes koreanisches Essen! Faire Preise, super freundliches und liebes Personal, angenehme Atmosphäre - klare Empfehlung! Mehr zum Restaurant: Wir sind Punkt 17 Uhr zur Öffnung der 'Spätschicht' im Namu aufgeschlagen, wurden leider vertröstet, dass kein Platz mehr frei wäre, da alles reserviert war an diesem Samstag. Wir also wieder raus, wollten uns gerade erkundigen, wo es Alternativen gibt. Da kam uns eine Kellnerin hinterher gelaufen und bat uns ganz lieb um Verzeihung und sagte, sie hätten doch noch einen Tisch frei. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut darüber und waren auch ein wenig verdutzt, dass sie uns extra hinterher lief. Wir bestellen jeweils eine Vorspeise und einen Hauptgang, der dann flott serviert wurde. Es gibt Normal nur Stäbchen dabei, aber man kann auch einfach nach normalen Besteck fragen und bekommt dieses. Wir waren nachdem Besuch vollkommen zufrieden und gesättigt und wir werden vorallem wegen dem freundlichen Service bestimmt nochmal wiederkommen. Nebenan ist noch eine hauseigene Bäckerei, die auch koreanische Spezialitäten anbietet, bestimmt ein Besuch wert und im Restaurant gibt's auch das ein oder Andere von dort. Parkplätze gibt es vor der Tür, aber da es mitten in der Innenstadt liegt, eher dürftig einen zu finden.

Ein schönes koreanisches Restaurant in Dortmund. Tolles Essen - der Geschmack war sehr gut und die Portionen sind auch ausreichend groß:). Das Personal war auch freundlich und alles war sehr sauber.

I'm extremely happy with the delicious food offered from Namu, besides the good prices and the excellent service! I want to leave here my greetings from Brazil to the very kind waitress who works there, from Mongolia! We tried the braten Rindfleisch mit Gemüse und Reis and we are in love for this dish! Strongly recommend

Delicious, big portions and kind staff. My dog was allowed to sit with is while we had dinner. The food was flavorful and great!
