We really enjoyed our stay at Scandic Aalborg City! The front desk staff was very helpful suggesting things to see and all of the staff was friendly and service-oriented. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fantastic and something we looked forward to every morning. Our room was clean, well-appointed, and we had everything we needed during our stay. We were within walking distance to most everything we wanted to see, but we did rent some scooters during our stay via the "Voi" app. They were fun, but at one point, we were told by a local that wearing helmets was a legal requirement, and we could be fined 1200 DKK for riding without. Thankfully we had no accidents and no tickets either.

I was happily surprised by the attention, all your staff that I have encountered gave. They were attentive, smiled, good source of information. I was there between 9-10 February and I want to thank the gentleman who checked me in. I keep forgetting to get the receptionist name but he was exceptional who went out of his way to ensure all my questions about Aalborg was answered . Thank you. Even the breakfast staff were cheerful, smiling and asking if I needed anything else. Any housekeeping staff i encountered greeted and smiled. Please keep up the good work for being the most friendly Scandic staff I have encountered so far. The only thing that made a negative mark on my stay was the heating which your staff tried and managed to rectify on my last night. But thank you for my beautiful stay.

Expensive hotel with student like rooms. No access to water heater in the room so if you want to make your own tea or coffee you need to buy it - and most of the people will buy it anyway making room even more expensive. TV is only in Danish/German, no access to world wide channels. Wifi is available and it seems that basic beverages are more worth than TV or WiFi. You could live without TV or WiFi as you may have LTE and VOD. It's just 1, max 2 nights room. Radison Blu is better choice.

The hotel is perfectly respectable in its quality and service. It is a on the pricer side though, while not offering anything flashy too to justify that. (It is probably the Unions though, at least I know everyone working there is payed fairly)

Fairly quiet location close to the railway station, but there is no air conditioning and the window needed opening, so I could hear traffic outside. The room has a sign stating if it’s too hot to tell reception. I did this but the room remained hot all night. There was no cool air coming from the vent, so I didn’t sleep much. The beds are comfortable for me, decent shower pressure too. The biggest plus is the choice at breakfast - although the quality of the hot food was only average, it was plentiful. I’d avoid walking under the railway station and across the park to the rear entrance, it’s not particularly nice and some seedy people loiter in the park in the evening.

Very expensive with respect to the facilities they provide. Bathrooms are very old fashioned. No one came for cleaning unless asked to do so. Staff was friendly especially at the breakfast area.

I like the practice that you can use the web page or the app to ask for room cleaning, and you are encouraged to indicate when you will go to breakfast to help with planning. Has a modest gym (I added some photos) and decent breakfast buffet.

We were given to a family room with some dried blood stains on the bathroom floor and very dirty floor in the rest of the room (lots hair, cookies and dust). It was very unpleasant and we were all very much disgusted. However the receptionist lady took a empathic approach by understanding the feeling of us being disgusted, then quickly took me to other available rooms for a change. I appreciated her service, especially in understanding the difficulty with small children by offered to carry some of our bags to move rooms. My two stars are given to this particular staff. However, the gym room was dirty, used towels and paper were on the floor, full of hair and dust on the floor and when I gave the feedback to a new receptionist the next day they had to lecture me about how the cleaning routine works as they don't have time to clean the gym room. I am not interested in your management but as a paying guest I would like your facilities to stay reasonable clean.

The check in went smoothly and the room was clean and made ready for a family with two children. However, the first night the air in the room was very hot, which affected our sleep. It turned out that the air conditioning was not turned on and that this had to be done by the front desk. It is baffling that this was not turned on as this was during the heat of July. The next night the air conditioning was on and the temperature pleasant. The breakfast was very good both mornings. When we were checking out we received a bill that included parking in the parking garage even though we had parked outside. We then waited for about 15-20 minutes as the receptionist had to ask for help from the manager who was on the phone. Finally they said that they would cancel the parking bill. But then it turned out that we had received the wrong bill, ie the bill to another guest, and ours was correct. So perhaps there was another guest who could smile over a cancelled parking fee? We only lost a lot of time and got a stressful Journey up north to Fredrikshavn to reach the ferry. So all in all I'm not very impressed with the hotel staff.

Stayed at Scandic Aalborg for a long weekend as part of a business trip. Staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and the breakfast is excellent. We were made to feel very welcome in well furnished rooms, reliable WiFi and a lovely bar in the lobby. The weekend staff lunch even looked delicious, which reassures me that the staff are well looked-after. Highly recommend for long or short stays, business trips or as part of a tour of Denmark via Aalborg. Location is good, very close to train and bus connections and green spaces, with around 10-15 min walk into city centre for shops/restaurants. I would say the quality of the hotel justifies the extra distance from the action, particularly given how peaceful the area is. The gym is well equipped and has cables, bands, free weights, treadmill, spin bike and stepper and was perfectly clean and tidy.

If you attend an event at the conference facility next door. Super lobby restaurant for a relaxing meal alone or a few friends. Excellent self service shop next to the reception. Also indoor passage to conference facility.

Clean & tidy. Breakfast was good too. I was on a business trip & wanted a place to spend the night ... Scandic is a small town & the hotel was quite appropriate for a the size of the city. I give 3 stars only because the heater inside the room was nit sufficient to keep it warm despite the fact that it was cold & raining

The staff here are awesome, especially the reception team, they're even nicer and friendlier than most Danes I've met. I was here on work business so the rooms erred fine for me alone but the other rooms would be good for couples also

Nice hotel with comfy beds and great breakfast. The location is quite central, with some construction on the way to the centre, but it will be finish soon hopefully. The price is really good too, one of the best value hotel in Aalborg.
