It's spacious Delhaize store. In my opinion they do have a lot of selections (they have butcher/cheese and sushi sections as well). The self-scan service is very useful and it's not complicated. Also I do like their self-scan machine as it's very user-friendly. It's very close to the train station and o my down side is for the pedestrians due to limited pedestrian crossing depending on the road you take to get to the location.

The supermarket has recently been updated. There is now a useful self checkout and scan as shop system. Sadly the size of the store and the warehouse isn’t large enough the meet the demand of the ever growing town with many items frequently sold out. On the positive side, the staff is friendly, and there is a wide choice in specialized products for people with allergies or lactose intolerance. If this is the case then this is the supermarket to be in Aalter, if you are looking to shop for more general products any other supermarket in town will also do the job. If you want a Delhaize in the region, I recommend the one in Maldegem, they aren't short of products as quickly, the store is new and I suspect the back storage facilities are more suited to meet demand.

Cash registers do not work normally. I was in this store today, at first my card was rejected at the self-service checkout, the employee and I tried 5 times, then she said to try at the regular checkout. I had to stand in a long line for the seller to tell me that the card is not accepted again, we tried 5 more times with him. In the end, they told me that something was wrong and I paid in cash. But when I came home, I saw that I had been debited many times, how angry I am!!!
