Title: A Superb Sunday at Miller & Carter Aberdeen Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we stepped foot into Miller & Carter Aberdeen, the ambiance radiated warm and inviting vibes, setting the perfect stage for our Sunday outing. One cannot review this place without giving due credit to our server, Greg. His professional yet personable approach amplified our dining experience. He was prompt with service, attentive to our needs, and offered insightful suggestions that proved his knowledge about the extensive menu. We felt well looked after by him. As for the Sunday menu, it was nothing short of a gastronomic delight. The variety was ample, catering to different palates. We relished each bite, from the succulent roast meats to the sumptuous sides and delectable desserts. The restaurant's commitment to quality was apparent in every dish. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were balanced, and the presentation was enticing. Our meal was not just eaten, but thoroughly enjoyed and savored. In a nutshell, our visit to Miller & Carter Aberdeen was a sublime blend of excellent service, delightful atmosphere, and delicious food. We're already looking forward to our next visit and hoping to be served by the commendable Greg again. This place definitely deserves a five-star rating and is highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Oh! this was such a nice place to have a dinner. I was here 2 days ago with my husband and I can say it was definitely worth it. I had calamari for starter, and then ribs and chips for the main meal, which I really enjoyed. The staff were also very courteous and helpful, as they would even talk you through the menu if you need help deciding what to eat. You might also find checking the menu on their website helpful, as they indicated the calories count for each food which I really liked as someone who is keen on eating clean. Overall, it’s a nice place 👍 ☺️

My wife and I recently visited Miller & Carter in Aberdeen for some lunch. The food was delicious, all cooked to perfection and also looked fantastic. I had the Halloumi fries to start, sirloin steak for my main and managed to squeeze in a sneaky Crèmes brulee! Amazing

Went for dinner tonight, it was our first time going to Miller and Carter, the food was amazing and the service was over and above. Shane was our waiter and he was so friendly and shared information on the local area which was really interesting, he definitely made the experience even better than it would have been. Will go back when we're back in Aberdeen again.

Miller and Carter are starting to become my go to restaurant if I want a good steak. And they have never disappointed. I in fact think the other options are improving as well. Starters were Pate and scallops with chorizo. Both were superb. As we were in Aberdeen we went for the sirloin Angus which is locally sourced and at a very reasonable price. And we both said it was really good. The beef dripping is just amazing !! I had the standard beer but my wife had a couple of cocktails. Both she commented were excellent. We didn’t have desert as we were already full. Service was exceptional. And our waiter was very friendly was various stories. A great evening and fully recommended. Make sure you book in advance as it gets very full.

This was our first visit to a Miller and Carter and probably won't be our last. I had been given a gift voucher so it was an ideal opportunity to try it. It was a Monday early evening so the restaurant was quiet but still a nice atmosphere. Our server and steak expert Stuart was excellent, we chose the Butchers Block to share and he ran through the various cuts and recommended cooking of the various steaks. Very knowledgeable and also just the right amount of attention and banter with the customers. The food was first class, the flavour of the steaks was outstanding. I'm glad we didn't have a starter as there was plenty food for two on the sharing platter. Some cocktails for dessert rounded off a lovely meal. Would definitely return

First time here and definitely not the last. The restaurant is nicely decorated and laid out. The staff are clearly well trained, fully explaining everything that was available and to a full extent. The server was really good, I forgot her name, but young girl from Ukraine, always made sure we had what we needed and ran through everything we ordered to confirmed. Clearly the staff go through good training. It was a busy Thursday, I mean it was full, which is a good sign. The food was fantastic and was unique in taste and quality and the choices and options were varied. Nothing was too much trouble. The cost was good considering what you are getting, yes you pay a little more but get a lot more for it. Even though it was so busy, still managed to get served in a reasonable time. The steak was cooked to perfection.

Excellent service and really great food. I’ll definitely recommend the ribs, they are done just right. They have a good variety of steaks too and a very wide menu. Will visit again soon.

Elegant atmosphere, amazing food and super friendly staff. Although, we had our dinner at a busy time, everything was just perfect! If you have a sweet tooth like me, I highly recommend the creme brulee. It was scrumptious.

Incredible experience. Try out the steak as medium rare, and you will enjoy it. The environment is incredibly calm. The staff are lovely from the moment you walk in. I'll definitely recommend, though you have to ensure you book in advance to get your desired time slot.

This place was recommended and booked by colleague for a bigger group night out. It was full on Wednesday evening which is a good recommendation itself. I've ordered Sticky Chipotle Chicken for a started and I was stunned it can taste so good. Black Angus Sirloin for a main was served exactly how I like it and it was delicious together with all the extras, sides and recommended wine. Food was amazing, service absolutely brilliant. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Absolutely brilliant. Pleasant and friendly staff, made to feel welcome, even though it was extremely busy. We were there for a birthday dinner and was not let down. The food was stunning and very tasty. Absolutely go back. Our waitress Laura was excellent, extremely polite and pleasant, was great for recommendations. When pudding arrived, she had the staff write happy birthday on chocolate sauce, which was very sweet. Definitely going back.

A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details in order to please you. The food wow…just amazing ,high quality! Every food and drink we had was 5 star ! Totally recommended!

The food was amazing. Service was great. Rory was attentive and went the extra mile with a special plate for the birthday girl. The restaurant were very good at accommodating our request for a quieter spot for my son and we were seated at a booth. Would highly recommend and already planning our next visit 5*. Pudding was fab and we left totally full. Brilliant value for the level of service and quality of food.

I was taken to M&C for my birthday. Lovely atmosphere created here with the dark decor and nicely heated restaurant. We had a mixed experience here sadly. My starter was the prawn and avocado salad. It had only 3 minuscule bits of avocado in it which was utterly ridiculous. Our main courses were lovely and we really enjoyed the iceberg salads that come with the steaks. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, no complaints with the main courses at all. Delicious! The deserts sadly were the worst we've ever eaten in any restaurant. The sticky toffee pudding that no one can make wrong (or so I thought) was terrible! It wasn't anything like a sponge cake at all, it was more like soft grains of sand in texture in your mouth. No body to it at all, hardly any toffee sauce served with it either, I've never left sticky toffee pudding ever and we both left these. As it was my birthday they brought out another desert and I've no idea what it was but it was warm and cold and mushy all at the same time, it was utterly revolting. The presentation of the food was excellent but sadly the starters and especially the deserts were far from the standard of such a highly priced restaurant. For this reason I wouldn't return to Miller & Carter as there and many restaurants which can provide all three courses for less that taste much better. Our bill was £145 for 3 courses, 1 bottle of house red, one cocktail and one coke. M&C need a pastry chef and someone to look at portion control. I'd like to say the service was fantastic, we were served by Marc and he's one of the most professional young lads we've come across whilst dining out. He was very efficient, professional and friendly, certainly an asset to the Miller & Carter group.

Amazing place, highly recommend! Food, atmosphere and service couldn’t have been better. Laura was our waitress and she was so so lovely!! Big credits to her for making the night even better. Asked us about a special occasion- which was me and my partners anniversary. And for our deserts she had “ happy anniversary “ wrote on our board. Again highly recommend:)

Just back from a fantastic evening. We ordered the sharing butcher's block and some starters. Megan had the garlic mushrooms and I had the calamari... With cheesy garlic bread to share. Our eyes were maybe bigger than our bellies but it was delicious! Our server, Rory, was lovely. Very friendly and attentive and come across as passionate about wanting us to have a great experience... And we did. The steaks were perfect. A real treat and the peppercorn and dripping sauces were spot on!

We had the wonderful early dinner menu and enjoyed a main course and dessert at a reasonable price. They even substituted my dessert as I need to eat gluten-free. So tasty and great value 😋

We discovered this excellent restaurant during a trip to Aberdeen and we were not disappointed. The reviews are accurate, and we had a great time. Greg was amazing! He took the time to explain us the Menu and suggest different dishes. The flavour was excellent and the wine selection was good too. The place is cozy. Definitely not the last time.

I am sorry my friends but I can’t understand who is able to give only 4 starts or less…. Me personally, I am giving only 5 stars as we have no option to do more. Look, from very beginning it was great welcome work, in spite of all necessary Covid measures and rules we didn’t froze the queue behind. Everything was done in a very professional manner without any delay. I had no reservation, unfortunately but I was given a great place to enjoy my dinner. What meals there!!! I was given a lot of attention: greetings, drinks, main course, even I had no space for desserts but there were no choice for me. Everything was perfect! I appreciate the team work and the management of this restaurant! Well done! Wish all the best and hope to visit your nice restaurant once again!

I can’t explain how much I loved this place! The atmosphere, the service and specially the food! I think I never had such a tasty meat before. It was perfectly cooked and I couldn’t ask more. Make sure not to miss it if you are in the area. Absolutely recommend it! :)

This is a really good restaurant, perfect for when you want to treat yourself. If it's Sunday and you are lucky to be benefit from the 3 course meal menu, even better! Everything was really nice. We had the bruschetti for starters, a fillet and a sirloin with baby potatoes for main and creme brulle and the biscuit for dessert. I think that the salad wedge with dressing is a really quirky and tasty addition to the main! They also have a nice wine selection and the staff is very friendly and helpful! The menu is diverse, both in price and options.

I left a review somewhere else and it asked if I wanted to transfer it to Google reviews, so I said yes, but looks like it missed a big chunk out. Sorry, I can’t remember her name - meaning the waitress who took care of us. It was my birthday and I was made to feel very special.

We ate here on Sunday afternoon. Service was great but food disappointing. My partner enjoyed his pork cutlet but my fish and chips were poor to be honest, check the picture. Small piece of fish which was dry and overcooked, I could barely cut through it. I would be embarrassed to serve this to someone and charge £14:50. No, I didn’t complain at the time and didn’t want to cause a scene in front of my partner. We’ve eaten here quite a few times but wouldn’t hurry back.

What a lovely place with extremely helpful staff.. Greg, our waiter was so very nice. We selected the fixed lunch menu - worth the price. Baked cheddar mushroom and the chargrilled chorizo starters were delicious, and the steak burger and the sea bass filet was very tasty. We had the local whiskey, Balvenie, which was perfect.

My adult son and I stopped for the day in Aberdeen, Saturday, 6/11/22. After roaming around, we walked into Miller and Carter that evening with no reservation. Though they were busy, they got us a table immediately. Our server very friendly, personable and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice. All the food was good...but the steak...was remarkable! I had the 30 day aged filet, ordered it well done (don't hate me for that). It was still so tender and extremely tasty. Great experience...Loved it!

If you like an excellent Steak or ribs, you found the right place. Very helpful and friendly staff. The Steaks 🥩 we ordered were perfectly cooked to the point you prefer. A good beer 🍺 to your food rounds it up. If you plan to visit, remember to book a table at least the day before, especially on weekends! I definitely recommend a visit! We'll be back for sure during our next visit in Aberdeen 😁

Booked a table for Thursday at 20.15. Arrived at 20.05 and were taken to our table at 20.10 once Covid checks and Track & trace was verified and made sure all three of us had used the sanitiser provided. Our Waiter was Steven. He was friendly, informative and had a good sense of humour which is perfect for us. We started with the Duck Parfait, Wild Atlantic Scallops & Potted Smoked Salmon Pate. The Duck Parfait was very nice, it came with Apple & date chutney & 2 slices of toasted ciabatta. I felt there was too much pate for the 2 slices provided, another slice of bread would have been better as I ended up eating the Pate on my fork. The Wild Atlantic Scallops came in a Lobster & Prosecco sauce, peas, crispy pancetta & straw fries. It was nice and worked well as a starter. The Potted Smoked Salmon Pate was enjoyed, came with 4 slices of toast and a slice of lemon. We were served with Lettuce wedges for the 2 having steak as a palate cleanser. One was with bacon and mustard, the other garlic mayo & grana padano. We Both tried some of each and we both preferred the bacon and mustard. Our Main courses came consisting of 2 of the 16oz Ribeye Steaks, both medium and Bernaise Sauce and a Butternut and Mushroom Tart and a side portion of Garlic Button Mushrooms. Although not mentioned as a side, we noticed dauphinoise potato came with the Buttermilk Chicken. So we asked if we could get that as an option as we prefer that to chips. Steven went to check and came back and said yes, we could get dauphinoise potato. The 160z Ribeye was superb, very succulent and mine was a perfect medium, the other was slighly under medium, but was still thoroughly enjoyed. The garlic button mushrooms were tender and very nice, there was enough for all 3 of us to try them. The dauphinoise was a little disappointing. It was not freshly made as we had expected, but was covered in a coating like you can get in a supermarket's frozen section. It was quite nice once salt was added. The Butternut and Mushroom Tart came with ratatouille, fine green beans, baby potatoes with sunblush pepper & herb dressing. It was said to be tasty and the pastry was amazing. We finally decided to have deserts. Knickerbocker Glory Sundae, Banoffee Pie & Classic Creme Brulee. All were enjoyed. We were all full. With 4 pints of Peroni and a medium Coke it came to £149.90, less the £15 already paid for reserving the table. Steven & the other members of the serving team are an asset to Miller & Carter. Can't wait for our next visit

I was a huge Miller and Carter Edinburgh fan however was let down by the service and food on my last visit which put me off the franchise completely. Greg and the chefs from the Aberdeen branch changes my mind and brought back my fond memories of great food and fantastic service. Thank you!

  • 5/5 Yishan H. 2 years ago on Google
Ordered a black angus bistro rump 8oz (medium). I recommended medium rare if you want the steak to be more tender. The beef dripping sauce is the most popular and it was indeed tasty. The onion loaf was a perfect match with the beef. The service was beyond my expectation. All the waiters and waitresses were kind to help.
