Located along the Jr track is this tasty fancy tofu spot. The menu is extensive and affordable. Love all the seating options here, visitors get a kick out of the atmosphere. Great for groups

They serve more than Tofu! Had fish and chicken too. Overall the menu is mostly tofu dishes as expected. Taste good but definitely more tailored towards tofu lover. They also have outdoor tables, and generally there is partition walls in between tables indoor.

Really enjoyed this place. Very authentic with excellent food. All the dishes were amazing. The namesake tofu dish is amazing - it does take 30 mins to cook so order it at the start. The chicken was perfectly cooked with a rich flavor. The tofu gyoza was very flavorful and the desserts were the perfect way to end.

It is a tofu restaurant that is good to enjoy with vegan friends. I like the sophisticated food style, and various menus are set according to young tastes. It is a little noisy because there are many customers, and the taste of the food and the response of the staff are pleasant restaurants other than the busy appearance of the staff.

10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 8.5/10 food. Loved the whole experience. Highly recommended. Favorite dishes - Japanese omelette, rice with tofu.

Pretty tucked away, and they had a really cool “stepping stone” floor / water way... hard to explain but it gave definitely you a sense of zen and seems like the the right thing to have in a tofu restaurant. I didn’t think the food was out of this world, but it was still yummy. Some of the dishes were really salty, but overall, the tofu’s great.

Amazing, delicious, and a beautiful atmosphere! Our favorite meal of our two week trip to Japan, and the tofu tiramisu was probably my favorite dessert of all time. The yuzu sour and sake drinks were great. And the avocado tofu was a life-changing experience.

For tofu lovers...Tofu dishes were great (deep fried, gyoza, soft). Everything else was average. Scruffy atmosphere - table and bathroom were cramped and didn't feel clean. Google maps also pins the entrance at the opposite side so make sure you go to the entrance near the big road

Despite being a bit hard to find, once you navigate its discreet location, you're greeted with a serene and modern interior that starkly contrasts its unassuming exterior and sets the stage for a delightful experience. The emphasis on tofu dishes adds a unique twist, making it a standout destination in bustling Shibuya. It offers a diverse range of dishes that showcase the versatility of this ingredient. We struggled a bit communicating our order in English.

*The entrance is on the opposite side of the building that maps is showing walking directions for* Delicious tofu. Our favorites were the specialty tofu, the tofu skin dumplings, mapo tofu, and the cheesecake. We also really liked the mango soy milk drink. Very nice staff and a great experience. We walked in at 5:45 on a Wednesday with no wait.

What a delight to visit – delicious food in beautiful restaurant! Everything was very well prepared and tasty, especially the soft tofu which is heated at your table. We also had the beef with beer sauce (like a pot roast; one of my favorites), chicken thighs, tofu skin dumplings, a tasty maitake tempura, and a “mimosa salad” which turned out to be a type of chopped salad with egg, tomato, and shiso. There are plenty of good options both for vegetarians and those looking for meat dishes. The dishes are relatively small so you can share a few. For dessert we had a tofu tiramisu, which has a bitter coffee flavor I personally love! Be careful eating it too late at night 😉 We went as 3 people without reservations, and were graciously allowed an hour, so I would recommend getting reservations if possible. All things considered, Tofu Cuisine Sorano is a wonderful place and I’m grateful I went on my first visit to Japan! とても美味しいです!

Great vegetarian restaurant with delicious food. Everything contains tofu in some form. The specialty is tofu that is freshly made from soy milk at your table. The interior design of this restaurant is also really nice. It is often quite crowded, so make sure to have a reservation.

Great selection of tofu of all kinds, even avocado 🥑 tofu! There’s one tofu that they prepare for you in the table. It cooks for 30 minutes, but it’s tasty and warm. Worth trying. They have other selection of great dishes as well, like the tuna tataki (raw tuna mince) with wasabi sauce, salads, gratin, karaage, etc. The selection of cocktails is also nice. If you don’t drink beer, you have plenty of other options like honey yuzu sour, strawberry 🍓 sour, umeboshi sour… They also have cassis with soy milk, which tasted great. I don’t drink milk (dairy) so it was nice to have soy milk in a cocktail (not so common to have non-dairy options in Japan).

Great cozy place where the dishes revolve around tofu / soybean products. The dishes are creative and very tasty and the atmosphere and seating in the restaurant is very nice. The price is also very affordable in my opinion compared to western restaurants. They have an English menu so be sure to ask because the Google translate may not work greatly with their handwritten Japanese menu.

Really enjoyed this tofu place, with a wide array of dishes blending tofu and other ingredients in various cooking styles. Highlights: homemade "sorano" tofu, tofu gyoza, crab and tofu croquette and tofu tiramisu. Warm and jazzy atmosphere

One of the best meal experiences I have ever had. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is wonderful. The shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin, avocado tofu, and shiitake mushroom with mashed tofu were our favorites. All of their tempura is delicious too. Don't forget to get the cheesecake and green tea ice cream!

Beautiful space with an impressive walk in experience (excluding the candle I accidentally kicked and broke, sorry😢)! I really appreciated the semi private room for a large group of 12 ~ 16. I'm not a tofu fan but the signature tofu was enjoyable for me too. Tempura was the highlight for me - I wasn't expecting that level of freshness and straight out of the pan feel for our room seating, pleasant surprise! Waiter's English is great, if you survive the all hiragana menu😭

If you like tofu, this is a great spot! They make the tofu fresh, at your table! Delicious with light salt, soy sauce, or with other dishes, but excellent by itself too!

Good vibe, good food, I really liked it! I recommend the avocado tofu, the tuna tartare and the tiramisu for dessert!

Really good restaurant. The whole concept of everything revolving around tofu is really original. You might think it’s going to be a series of repetitive dishes, but they have a way to include tofu in dishes in creative ways. Menu includes other stuff apart from tofu, though, like tempura, salad, carpaccio, etc. Everything was delicious. English menu available. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.

This place... I order basically everything marked as vegetarian on the menu - I literally did - and I love every single bit of that food. Mind that fish based stock is used to prepare some of those “vegetarian” dishes. Not for all of them, though. Some are 100% vegetarian. As I’m not that strict, I decided to give a try to the dashi based dishes too and I don’t regret it. The Japanese rolled omelet with tofu inside (dashimaki tamago) was divine, probably the best one I’ve ever had. And so were the grilled gluten skewers. The vegetables (sweet potatoes, tomatoes, yam, pumpkin and potatoes) and okara - tofu pulp - salad was delicious too, same for the “melting in your mouth” tofu. The cheesecake was also great, very small though. All the drinks that I tried were delicious too, from the smoothies to the alcoholic ones. Prices are a bit high considering the size of the portions. But the food is so perfect that I would probably pay even the double to eat it.

Nice place with friendly staff. Reservation is recommended. English menu available. Pretty good food. The fried tofu and home-made tofu were really good. Will return.

Before I visit Japan I saved this place on my map. I was curious about Tofu cuisine, and tried it. All the cuisine has its own natural taste. Tiramisu was so tasty.

Sorano is a wonderful restaurant. I ate the best tofu there! For non-English speakers, there is an English menu. It definitely worth to eat there, the restaurant is beautiful and you should try their special fresh tofu made right in front of you!

Awesome tofu experience. Get the tofu they make at the table, it's super smooth and fresh! The raw tofu cheesecake is a must - you would not think it was made from tofu! The deep fried tofu with spring onions and the deep fried tofu with miso are both fantastic! There is also a great selection of tempura - in particular the fires persimmon and the Camembert are fantastic! The tempura Camembert also came with a cute little bit of strawberry jam which was delicious.

I only give 4 stars because is confusing to get there. Google maps is wrong and I think the restaurant should fix it. The food very unique and delicious! My favorite was the carpaccio. EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED

Tofu menu is very limited, not many different types of tofu. Some tofu items taste great, like avocado tofu and the tofu cheesecake. The rest of the food is not that special, and needs more flavor. The house tofu is mediocre in taste and texture Very expensive food for very basic and common ingredients. I won’t come here again

Wow. Just wow. Great atmosphere, perfect service and most of all, incredible food. The handmade tofu is sensational. But don't be put off if you don't love tofu! The appetizers are insanely good, the tuna tartare something to die for. And the tempura is wonderful too. I was also surprised by the final bill, below what I was expecting. Great!!!

Very good Tofu restaurant I visited with friends. A little far from the station and a little difficult to find but worth a visit as it’s very good food and also very interesting restaurant! The avocado tofu was very unique and the traditional Tofu speciality is worth trying. They also have English menu so it’s practical but not everything is ok it so maybe better to ask the staff OSUSUME (recommendation) The Umesaki is also very good with tonic !

Our party of 2 vegetarians and 3 non vegetarians had plenty of tasty options. We had tofu made at our table and ate 10 kinds of tofu plus meat and fish for the non vegetarians plus tempura. I like the avocado tofu and cheese tempura best.
