Large playground with lots of open grass area. Nice body weight workout area that is shaded. But the prairie dog town was awesome!

Kids had a blast but slides are very high of the ground so little kids can't slide off safely

Absolutely wonderful! I enjoy taking my grandaughter here, and I love to join her under the perfect sprinkle water! Clean and safe

Great park with two great play areas, sports fields, a walking path, a lake, and a splash pad!

This is one of my favorite places to go for a walk. The Zoo is just across the lake. If you go early in the mornings you can usually be fortunate enough to hear the lions roar. The lake is beautiful with lots of ducks and geese (that are not aggressive). No feeding them though. There are signs to explain why. Probably has a lot to do with them not being aggressive. They're not looking to people for food. Takes about 30-35 minutes to go around the track. They recently improved the track from pavement to concrete sidewalk. Overall a wonderful place to spend some time.

Great water pad. Love the tall big build birds that drop Waters out on the kids. Good picnic tables around to eat sandwiches.

This the perfect place to have a family day in one spot! The zoo is walking distance. There is enough Room to set up canopies and a BBQ pit. There is are 2 parks and a splash pad and a large pond for fishing. Public restrooms are kept up with. Definitely recommend 👌

Plenty of room for dogs to safely roam. Has a fountain for dogs. Have yet to have an unpleasant encounter between dogs. Love that one section is for large dogs and other for small dogs.

For a small zoo they have a pretty nice assortment of animals to look at. Really enjoyed my time hanging around. They offered a Military discount and I very much appreciate it.

Solid four star park for the Abilene area and next to the zoo. Nice running path, splash pad, and park. The ducks are a good edition. I take a star only because the bathrooms could be just a tad nicer ... if fact try not to use them if you can help it.

It's a really nice park and I got in 45 mins of walking , I guess they don't maintenance the restrooms on a regular basis. All the ladies stalls were out of tissue and could use a cleaning.

The park stays open til midnight, which is great, but there is no lighting for after-dark. A light pole in the center of each dog park (small & large) would be perfect!

The ponds are dried up mostly and tall bushes and trees are growing tall all thru where the water use to be....very few ducks and no geese. Trashed out w beer cans and bottles, rillo packs even used condom and tampon Used and gross in the parking lot.... thankfully on the zoo side lake area down the trail are ducks and geese. Swings and slides and plenty of picnic tables and big bbq pits on both sides for birthday party's or family get togethers with room to put up volleyball net. Nice place but upkeep needed before it's not so pleasant at all!

First time here. Good Zoo and park to enjoy and picnic at.

Stopped here to eat our lunch. Wasn't crowded at all. They are doing some construction to the park. It looks like maybe they are putting in a walking trail, but I can't be sure

Nice for a small zoo. The view of the animals was well planned. I don't recommend the nachos at the snack bar. The quality was so bad we threw them away. The hotdog was surprisingly good.

It was an amazing day. I'm 62 but I felt the child in me once I was here. Never thought I'd see these amazing creatures. The Rhino, the Giraffes, the lions, ostriches, zebras, and so many more... They also have A Reptile house. So many snake's... Gigantic turtle... I recommend this place. But is advise to go in the morning. I went in the middle of the day..it was hot..some were inside there cubby holes, keeping Kool.

Very well maintained. I really love all the plant life throughout the entire park. Feeding the giraffe is a really fun "to do" especially if you have little ones

It was wonderful to walk around the park and see the ducks and the blue heron. The fish were jumping and I saw lots of turtles by the dam/ overflow.

This was a fun thing to do while we were in Abilene. We went to the zoo first then cooled off at the splash pad.

This is such a lovely park close to two dog parks (one for big dogs and one for small dogs) and the Zoo. It has a playground and splash place. Evening walks or bike rides here can be lovely. Gorgeous sunsets. There are also plenty of places for fishing. One of my favorite places in Abilene. Great for families.

Very nice and clean park. It also have 2 dog parks for either large and small dogs. Water park for the kids. Close proximity to the Abilene zoo and a softball field.. fishing is a popular pastime.

This was our second trip but it won't be our last! Friendly staff and clean facility. Lots of fun with our kiddos. We did the train ride and rented a safari buggy to push them in. Facility closes at 5 but attractions and watering hole close at 4.

Wonderful park! Loved walking the dogs on the walking path and enjoyed a very serene view. Our 4 year old also enjoyed the 2 different playground areas. Lots of space to roam and explore here.

This is a pretty great park. We have been there a few times and overall it's nice. The only reason I gave it four stars was because the bathrooms and benches are pretty gross and I feel like there should be a bit more maintenance. But it's pretty nice and the water view is great.

👍👍 🚨You can capture a picture, even just for a moment but truly capturing a piece of history is a rare gem to find. We had so much fun riding the rails of history🛤 The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Grist Mill was such a cute little shop. I love how they value local quality made items. Th...
