Without Blackburn's very own Harry Ramsden (yet) this outlet is my regular for fish and chips. Healthy portions. Also meat pie is a good go to for a quick light snack.

Without doubt it's the best Chippy in Lancashire. The only other Chippy that matched AJK was Dockers in Prestwich Manchester. The fish is size of your arm. The batter is crisper than Walkers crisps, especially Salt & Vinger flavour. Must try once in your lifetime.

Best fish and chips around. Been visiting for years and hope to continue for many years. Lovely fresh and tasty food. You will not be disappointed.

As a visitor to blackburn I decided to try this chippy. Am really done with burgers and pizzas so this was the next option.I ordered a portion of fish and chips with peas and curry sauce.This place left me with the best experience ever. A full 10/10. The fish and chips were made to perfection.The portion was huge and the price was fair. Incomparision to Mother hubbards, Queen Vic, Reels and Dutch fisheries, for me AJK topped the list by a country mile. I strongly recommend this place and no doubt I will be visiting again inshallah.

My usual F & C takeaway was closed over the Christmas period 2022 so searched the web and came up with AJ’s. Twenty minute wait for order of fish and chips as the fish was being cooked to order. It took 10 minutes to drive home. Fish was red hot but chips lukewarm. The fish looked great . . . . . . Until I cut into it . Loads of batter and this gave the fish the appearance of being enormous. Batter great , lovely and crisp. Fish inside t a vastly overcooked and dry plus not much of it. Batter 70% , Fish 30% . At a cost of £10 - fish (£7) and regular chips (£3) - large chips £5 - no thank you anymore . Our regular chippy at Ocean is much much better quality all round AND £2.50 cheaper.

There was no better, this is a very good chip shop, gone up a few quid recently, up 3 as I found out after ordering three fish and chips cost sting 24.00, nowhere is that good when you expect.to pay 16.50 not even this outstanding chippy, though prices have shot up everywhere, shame, pizza hut buffet is 8.00 sultan 4.00 and for ten pounds from Hamza could feed families , there was no better value to be had, still very much worth it, other chippies are charging this amount for disgusting food with no value, most of them in fact, go here you will get more,you will be more than than pleased as the fish and chips could feed 4., Not like the pathetic excuses for fish most chippies give, I used marsh house chippy for lunch to find no fish at all in the batter, when I returned she said it must have fried away, no fish to be had in Darwen, no good food either....even crown and thistle 80.00 for small burnt black steak , noodles and a chicken burger from the freezer pate black and old, just raging lol go to AJK there is no better

This is hands down the best Fish and Chips in Blackburn, the fish is fried well and not oily or soggy, chips are good quality, service is fast and optimized, customer experience could get some work but, that's one giveaway for a good fish and chips shop.

Awesome place to eat. The fish and chips is delicious. There is plenty of indoor seating. They give you huge portions of fish and chips. The prices are reasonable. The staff are very friendly. All in all great please to eat. Would definitely recommend 10/10
