So
I've
stayed
here
for
one
night,
which
makes
me
really
compelled
to
write
down
this
review.
Basically
this
place
is
a
little
cottage,
as
the
name
suggests,
"wild
and
Free"
,
wild
because
it's
bordered
by
forests
and
protected
by
electric
fences
and
"free"
because
it's
located
away
from
the
nuisances
of
the
town.
It's
placed
ideally
on
the
foothills
of
the
Doddabetta
region,
the
second
highest
peak
in
S.India,
so
it
would
be
very
cold.
We
visited
the
place
in
December
and
God,
did
we
not
freeze.
It's
absolutely
cold
during
winters
so,
if
you
think
you
could
brave
the
cold
of
Ooty,
think
twice.
Talking
about
the
place
itself,
it
consists
of
a
single
big
hall,
one
end,
has
beds
on
the
floor,
the
other
end
you
get
a
dining
table,toaster
and
stuffs.
Basically
one
big
hall.
You
have
two
toilets
outside
the
house,
one
western
and
one
Indian.
The
hosts,
Mr.
William
and
his
Son
Ruben,
are
extremely
hospitable.
You
get
breakfast
and
Dinner
during
your
stay
and
tea
occasionally,
and
food
is
nothing
to
complain
about.
Good.
They
create
a
bonfire
at
night,
and
you
could
go
explore
the
place
in
the
morning.
Now
the
biggest
high
light
of
this
place.
You
see
this
is
not
a
cliche
resort
or
cottage
kindoff
thing,
this
is
an
offbeat
remote
cottage,
for
people
wanting
a
perfect
getaway
and
freedom
and
privacy.
We
were
a
group
of
boys,
and
you
could
literally
do
anything
and
no
one's
here
to
check
on
you.
You
don't
get
that
freedom
in
expensive
hotels
and
resorts.
This
rudimentary
cottage,
which
is
nestled
deep
in
the
mountains,
you
have
a
turbulent
unpaved
road
to
get
to
this
place
from
the
main
road,away
from
the
eyes
of
the
public.
And
this
place
is
absolutely
SERENE.
BOY,
pictures
don't
do
justice
to
this
place.
Final
Verdict:-
The
only
negative
aspect
is
the
price,
which
I
believe
would
be
dynamic
depending
on
the
season.
But
if
you
are
a
bachelor
or
group
of
bachelors
preferring
a
perfect
offbeat
getaway,
this
is
the
place.
