Miss Mai is the one of best Vietnamese restaurant in Rundle Mall, there is only a small dine-in corner, but you can sit outside at Gawler Place and enjoy your meal. I usually choose grilled chicken with white bread or rice noodles. Their chicken tastes really good, and it's worth mentioning that their service is efficient, fast, and exceptionally friendly.

There is so much salt in your banh mi it feels my mouth just turned into the sahara. Water bottle should come free at this point.

    - Ordered a fried rice combo (chicken and pork) + $3 extra protein of tofu. I only got the fried rice and tofu. No chicken or pork and that cost me $15. - the rice was dry and lacking in flavour apart from salt. - my friend ordered a role which had a flavour consisting mainly of salt. The bread roll itself wasn't too bad. - the staff was the only upside. They were nice, approachable and welcoming. Without them I would have rated my experience a 0.

Always had good times with this place. Staff are nice people. Always good listeners. I'm a big fan of the ingredients and taste and ambience. I don't go to many Vietnamese places often so I'm not sure if this is common, but they have a chilli paste which spreads the spice out more. Some chuck in cut chilli which brings it all on at once but this place gets it right.

Decent place for lunch, been there on a few occasions, and there is always a line. Staff serving me was quite full of himself, I can hear what you say under your breath. Almost walked out. Personally banh mi is so common, there are better places out there. I won't be going back, but don't let this review discourage you from giving it a go.

I really do like the place which makes it even more disappointing that gluten free items are not readily available on the menu. Cold rolls and even the salad bowls I was told are not gluten free. Then I was almost discouraged to make a special order cause it would take too long for them to put it together. Get with the program Miss Mai….. lots of people have different dietary requirements these days.

Service is brisk and friendly. You queue to order and pay, then join a separate queue to pass your order to the service staff. Had a lemongrass chicken salad bowl which was a good portion. Would prefer the chicken abit more charred. Most customers were buying the bahn mi. Place smells of pork crackling. Only 2 seats in the corner of the shop but more seating on the street. Just watch out for the vehicles.

I have been to Miss Mai at Gawler Place a few times now. The go to order for me is the salad with noodles and roast pork (crackling). The crackling pork with the fresh salad just taste axcellent. I alternate sometimes with the tofu instead of the port. Highly recommended as well. For lunch, best to arrive early as there is usually a line already by 12:15pm. And that is the reason for the 4 starts. I would have given 5 if service is faster. As there are days when there is only 1 person serving which really puts you off especially if cueing takes about 10-15mins.

Pretty disappointed, due to lunch rush the shop was quite busy and loud, I ordered the fried rice with tofu and got the rice with small cubes of tofu instead of the big strips like in the photos. The menu doesn't have detailed info, so when I was offered extras such as chilli, I said yes. Maybe I didn't hear the whole thing, but ended up with crushed peanuts (or cashews?) on top of the food. The food looked good but not good enough to risk anaphylaxis. $15 in the trash bin ☹️

Quick, busy and lovely buns. 9-10 dollars a bun, 14 for rice or salad. Waiting time varies but around 5-10 minutes when busy.

Average roll at best. Multiple better rolls within a 5 minute walk

Purchased 2 banh mi's, the roast pork and lemon grass chicken. Both delicious and packed with meat.. however the lemon grass chicken flavours could have been stronger. It would have been great if the The meat and salad was evenly distributed inside the roll so that each bite, you get both. It's a pity they didn't also serve the traditional meats on the menu.

Serving of salad in rolls r getting less and less. Lacks consistency, it depends on who the server is.

l had a wonderful experience at Miss Mai. I ordered a bread roll and a salad bowl, and they were both delicious and fresh. The bread roll was crispy and filled with tender meat. The salad bowl was colorful and flavorful, with noodles, lettuce, carrots, cucumber, peanuts, and a tangy dressing. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the service was fast and efficient. The restaurant was clean and cozy, with a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend Miss Mai to anyone who loves Vietnamese food or wants to try something new. It's one of the best places to eat in Adelaide!

First time in the city for a few years, Used to go to Miss Mai regually as I worked in the city, The quality has completely fallen away, Used to get crackling pork Bahn Mi, it was greasy, salty and no traditional Vietnamese Bahn Mi has lettuce in it!!

The one day I go into town to the office to work and think let’s have something delicious for lunch well I was disappointed I ordered a white bread pork roll What I got was super salty pork that left my lips stinging for an hour after the iceberg lettuce cucumber and carrot were all wilted and soggy beyond save able The butter or mayo whatever was used was just not worth it tangy The only positive s the bread roll itself and the piece of crackling within the meat Still hungry and will bring my own lunch next time

Not bad, by no means great. Huge line up at lunchtime had me fooled. Surprised at people saying it's the best banh mi in Adelaide. There are at least 3 places within a couple of blocks that are far better and more authentic.

😐 American styled joint. Thick shake was thick enough. Chocolate peanut butter tasted so good. The ice cream was just a normal ice cream with a fancy name. Burgers are small in general. Buns were soft. Lettuces have shrunk. Shroom patty is the best here. Beef patty a little dry. Onion rings were crisp...

😠 I don't normally give negative reviews unless a product or service continues to disappoint. It's happened here at Vili's too often now. After purchasing a Pie and Kitchener bun drove back to work, pie was ordinary yet when it came to the Kitchener bun that was the final straw. Stale beyond belief, w...
