Great experience all up. Food was great, drinks were nice, dessert was a little average. This was the last dinner night for a few months. We felt there may have been a staff shortage as the waits for service were quite long. All n all, worth a visit.

The waitress was very hostile and rude. First she made us change seats and wasn’t polite. Took awhile for the food to come as it was quite busy. Then they messed up the order and gave us poached eggs instead of scrambled. When I mentioned this they just ok my plate away mentioning they’ll change the eggs. They did not apologize at all and I had to wait another 10 or so minutes. Then the waitress just banged the food one my table. Did not feel welcome at all and felt quite uncomfortable sitting there. They did not charge us for the drinks as we had to wait which was a good gesture, but they did not apologize at any point. Extremely unprofessional service. Food and coffee on the other hand was amazing. Beautiful interior, scenery.

Not impressed with my ordered food. I ordered fish and chips and paid $16 to be given what would best be described as 2 overgrown fish fingers with majority of that being batter. I dug around and couldn't find the fish. Having said that the chips were tasty. Nice views. The smothies were rather nice.

No reserve sign on the table, took staff fifteen minutes to sort it out,as there were other people sitting on our table, which was suppose to be reserved. No cold water in bottles on the table, only warm.I Had to ask for cold water and ice. On a 31 degree day. Very noisy, not real cool inside. Took ages for our meals to be brought out. Do not order the Rueben sandwich, for $24. Two slices of toast not three for the layering, half of the bread had some finely sliced silverside on it,no sauerkraut. Sent them back. The chef did not make fresh just put some extra meat on my friends plus some sauerkraut, and placed it under the grill and brought it back out. Putting it under the grill to warm it up toasted the silverside and made the bread like a rock, and changed the flavour and texture of the Silverside The chips were not hot. My Rueben sandwich, they just added some sauerkraut, and heated it up the same way as my friends. The staff did not give a dam of our dissatisfaction of the rueben sandwich, and charged us full price.. Very dissatisfied. They took us for fools that we did not know how a Rueben sandwich should look or taste. A total of $48,we should have gone and flushed our money in the toilet. Word of mouth goes along way these days. Not a good place to visit for the elderly or disabled.

The Boatshed is currently being renovated, service is on the top level. The food was good, everyone at the table enjoyed their meal with some different options like meatballs and gnocchi. The downside is that parking is very limited, so prepare for a walk. The other negative is that it's very noisy.

Great looking out over the ocean! Ordered my usual Carrot Cake and Soy Mocha. 😆 This venue is very busy. Glad I came when the rain was out, cause when it stopped the place got packed! Don't expect to walk in and get a seat, you MUST book in advance, even for a coffee. I was lucky to arrive before most booking times. To the food and drinks: Carrot Cake: Finally a carrot cake with real cream cheese icing! Legit, with some seeds and dried apricot pieces. The base was nice, little moist. Probably could have done with some spice to give it a lift. Overall happy to get this massive slice! Good value for money. 4.5/5 ⭐ Soy Mocha: The coffee was smooth and came across as a more fruity blend. Definetely not a bold roast like I am used to. Honestly tasted like a cappuccino, not alot of chocolate taste. Still nice overall. 4.0/5 The scenery was the main drawcard for me. Stunning views at the outside bench over looking the coast. Overall rating 4.2/5 ⭐ I will be back to try a breakfast with my wife.. ☺️👍

Cold attitude from the lady who serviced us, didn't feel welcomed. She asked us to go to cashier to order where we saw her came around to table to help others to order. A young man from behind the bakery session came to take our order, appreciate his professionalism.

The waitress we had wasn’t the friendliest, she was straight to the point. Although our food and drinks came out pretty quickly despite it being busy. The food and view was really amazing! Seemed to be a hidden gem!

Beautiful open ocean view from across the cafe, lovely trail walks and plenty of space to kickback and relax after. Kid friendly.

Nice cafe right next to the trailhead/ carpark. Enjoyed the fish & chips but the view is the real treat - get the counter seats! Loud chatters as the place was packed during lunch but nothing the AirPods can’t handle. Enjoy a nice stroll after meal but best with covered shoes - trail is infested with ants and buzzing flies part of the summer experience.

Perfect location with ocean views. A good place to have a rest after short hiking. BUT don’t expect much with coffee or food. The flat white was really FLAT, with no foam at all. Taste like coffee with boiled milk.

The staff here is consistently warm and friendly, always showing genuine care for guests. My puppy adores this place as much as they adore her! The food consistently impresses, and the picturesque view adds to the overall charm. Looking forward eagerly to the upcoming extension—it's sure to add even more to this already delightful experience.

The Reuben (with silverside which is very similar if not equivalent to corned beef) was superbly executed, with proper Russian dressing. The chips (or fries in some other parts of the world) were ever so slightly battered and the perfect cross between chips and wedges. I didn’t have a reservation but the server was quite happy to accommodate me since I was early. And the view… they also have a kiosk below with drinks and ice cream for people heading to the boardwalk.

Fab little piece of paradise. My son and his gf took me for a treat and the food was great. Had the Kao and eggs were perfect but dish underseasoned and sweet potato rosti charred. Otherwise very yummy. Scaffolding made it hard to enjoy the view and obviously popular because service slow but happy enough staff and will return.

just ordered a smoothie after hiking, waited 40mins, no one checked our table, no table water offered. we were so tired, just wanna refund and home tho, staff offered take away, but we just want refund, tired of that long wait. they said machine was jammed. okayyyy 3 drinks we paid separated card, staff end up saying only can refunded to one of card, then she said "$7 for milk shake and $3 for fakeshake and $8 for mango smoothie " and i said i paid $9 for mango smoothie, why only refund $8? then she said"$1 for GST" 😂😂😂then kick us out with "I still have customer" feel not welcome at all, unprofessional service.

Fantastic view and right on the doorstep of a lovely outdoor walk which is highly recommended. Easy online booking but the staff weren't the most welcoming or friendly. Food was average to good.

We got in right as the doors opened. I took this photo and 5 minutes later there was not a spare seat (even our 2 seater table had to be vacated by 9.30am for a reservation). It was also dreadful weather outside but the heaters were cranking inside (keep the front door closed after you come in people!). Coffee was good, brekky was great - they used the thick bacon, need I say more? Views are to die for and staff are friendly. They even have a little nook with activities for the kids.

We ordered a homemade burger, fried squid, and drinks. It took a long time for the food to come out, but when I ate it while watching the summer sea, I felt at peace. I could feel the liveliness of the crowd.

I had the hallo me (haloumi) burger which was delicious. My husband had the calamari and chips which was very good. It's a beautiful spot to eat looking out over the ocean and the gentleman that served us was lovely

Nice to get a good takeaway coffee in lockdown after our breezy morning walk. 2 years on enjoyed a delicious coffee and cake on the upper terrace in comfortable chairs with fabulous views

Beautiful spot and fantastic terrace for sunny days, however the food took à long time to arrive on a medium busy day and wasnt the warmest. Tasty though.

Lovely cafe/restaurant at the end of a big walk! There are seats facing straight out to sunset which is lovely. Order before 8 as I nearly didn't get served- very happy I did though! I very much enjoyed my meal. And sparkling water via the bottle is a nice bonus!

We came to the Boatshed Cafe at Hallett Cove after a long drive and had already had an early dinner but wanted to have something else to eat. Most of the scones etc looked too sweet but there were some savoury scones that looked good and we were served them warmed up with some butter on the side to add. I have taken one star off because the toilets weren't up to scratch.

This has been a local haunt of mine for years. A really nice place for food and drinks, right on the beachfront with lots of easy parking available. All staff are very friendly and helpful with good quality, reasonably priced menu items. Keep up the good work.

Was served by the sweetest woman and the food was genuinely so GOOD. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was just cooked to perfection. I’m pleased and will be coming back. My only tweak would would be having a bigger serve of chips given the price. Will likely be coming back!
