Some of the sweetest tunes to be found in Adelaide. I really like the vibe here. However... while friendly, I think the staff need to be managed better. Plenty of staff standing around, when there are glasses and sticky tables throughout the place. Ummm hate to say it but the toilets are close to the worst I’ve encountered. Take a mask. 😷

Filthiest most absolutely revolting place I’ve ever bothered to visit. Not only are they the dirtiest and most putrid sticky floors & absolutely disgusting lack of any sanitary glasses or even have ability to walk without a shoe being permanently stuck to floor but the bar staff are absolutely awful! Not only did one of the worst customer service treatment mortify me but being intimidated & aggressively stood over and to have a water and Coke Zero confiscated AFTER paying for it is baffling. Even after contacting the venue to obtain a refund for being ripped off by the bartender they still haven’t returned my money and unfortunately am now contacting liquor licensing commission for their abject lack of capacity to act in safe and sensible manner or any kind of honest way. Never have I seen such confusing and abject contempt of the legislature regarding liquor service and alcohol laws and sheer ignorance of the health and safety of the public. It’s a putrid pathetic excuse for a venue and pure waste of money. Seriously save your money because it’s not worth the washed up has been old crusty div to begin with and a sweaty Smokey crusty hole which has to be so easily fixed by leaving that place to rot with the abject lack of integrity of their staff and cleanliness issues!

Bouncer here was great and very friendly, the club was actually clean which seems to be rare in Adelaide, even the toilets were too which was great. If you like a disco vibe the music and lights are great. However the bar tender told me he could only do red bull and Malibu. But overall was a great club!!

Absolute one of a kind venue. Nothing like it in Adelaide, never has been and never will be. Great staff, cool venue, only the best music and sounds, and pro-socially responsible - something you don't always see in venues in this era. Big love to Driller and Co.

Been here once and never again. Just the way that the owner replies to criticism demonstrates his lack of brain cells. What a Bell-End of a human!

Venue smelt like eggs and the toilets were horrid. The music was okay, was a bit boring and had to pay $20 to get in when there was no big act playing. Staff were rude when joking about the atmosphere and stairs were hard for me to walk up due to my personal issues that require me to use a walking stick :( overall very disappointing

Great little club.

Bouncers good.Not happy with the male bartender who was so rude,so I called him a barmaid.He looked philapino.I jokingly asked for free drinks and was told to stop acting creepy.Management needs to lose this employee as I went and spent money elsewhere.

Since i saw all the european and american artist this club brought to adelaide i have to say that you guys here need to be more appreciative cause this is an elite selection of music artists, the crowd was too small the other day i guess adelaide people dont have elite taste. Club looks nice with funny small balls pool tables. 8bucks for gin and tonic not so bad, i guess other prices are ok too. The only thing is the sound, its kinda bad, they have funktion one but it is either too old and dont produce good sound anymore or somebody need to adjust the amp.

Great venue. Watched the AFL and then live music show.

Last time we went to sugar we had an absolute great time whacky atmosphere and vibe. Felt like a fever dream ( in a good way ). However we went last night and the security on the door was horrible. I know this may not be sugars fault but I find it really disappointing. Unfortunately our friend who’s come all the way from whales was refused entry because his id photo looked “about 10 years old”. Mind the fact that he is 20 so I don’t think his id makes him look 10. And wasn’t an “Australian id”. I don’t see how you can be refused because your id photo looks too young especially “10 years”. Actually a breach of the equality act from 2010. Anyways girl doing the entry was lovely, and cheap entry 🙂

It was probably one of the most magical places I've ever been too, the artwork was glow in the dark, but I loved the atmosphere it was so genuine and fun, great music, fashion is important, would love to make a painting for this place, the interior design was beautiful loved the decorating 💖🦄🍭

This place has amazing music. Staff are nice and relaxed and the vibe of the club matches that. I’ve been coming here for years and I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to see some of the incredible international artists I have if Sugar wasn’t there!

Been frequenting this spot for years now and I'll always go back. Being one of the only clubs in Adelaide to regularly host international artists, the pool tables and the staff make every experience top quality. If you are into quality dance music this is a must visit in Adelaide.
