Had a leak in in ceiling. Metropolitan came out with a $180 call out fee. Then charged $600 for investigation (claiming 1hr on invoice reality was 15mins) then charged nearly $2000 to fix a about 6 inches of drain pipe from the bath tub upstairs. Then proceeded to write a positive review for me. Still can’t believe what i paid and wished I cut my losses at the $800 odd I was in from just finding the leak. Would not recommend to anyone. For anyone reading this information I rang Jim’s Plumbing who as it turns out are just metropolitan rebranded.

Burst pipe under my front lawn on a Saturday, I excavated and exposed the pipe to gain easy access with ample of room to work in. Plumber came round and wanted over $120 for the quote then $780 to fix the pipe..... I almost died of shock. Told them no, paid them the $120 then went to bunnings brought $30 worth of materials and had it fixed in no time (the longest part was waiting for the primer and glue to cure). Daylight robbery, imagine all the old ladies that would of paid that. Plumbings not rocket science, why does it cost like it is? The actual Plumber was nice enough thou, he felt bad too.

Dealing with the staff is a very pleasant and easy experience. They employ a large number of people, and I have found them all to be kind, professional, and punctual. They work cheerfully and take on any task that looks too big for them. While Simon was excavating in my backyard to make way for new drains, he even unearthed an ancient engine! I would suggest them for any plumbing work you have and I won't hire anybody else.
