The view is simply awesome. Its Havenly beauty. The neighborhood is very quiet. The train station is within walking distance. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean with magnificent natural view. However, for checking in you will have to wait until five in the afternoon like many other youth hostels; count this as negative.

One of your budget and comfortable stay near Zurich. The hostel is close to Lake with big park and the location is 30 min away from Zurich main station by train. Staffs are friendly, breakfast is really good. A family friendly place.

Beautiful historic building in a convenient location metres from the train station. Fantastic views over the lake. The rooms are spacious and airy. The food is rather good.

I stayed here in October 2022. Gabriel and everyone here is so hospitable and friendly. Mind you, not all people are as sweet and helpful as these people. I have travelled all over Switzerland for a month. This place is special. I made new friends here. Hostel Richterswil is a quaint little accommodation and very peaceful. Food is wonderful too. Had a nice hospitality, smooth and quick check-in and a quiet night (with the trains under my window). The room could be cleaned a little bit more, but everything else was tip top. The breakfast was good also.

Great location at the lake and wonderful view! we were very lucky our room had a balcony. The breakfast, rooms and service were all very nice!

Most of all very nice and helpful service. Clean, comfortable and weel- kept place with healthy breakfast. I won't mention the wonderful view from the window. I highly recommend :)

I stayed there for 3 nights, in Oct 2015, nice place, friendly staffs, great breakfast, close to the rail station, lovely park and very close to Lake Zürich, wish to visit again...

It is best place to take boat cruise to Zurich. It takes approximately 90 min.

My child and I had a wonderful stay here in June 2023-- the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the location is lovely-- right on the lake-- and the breakfast is fabulous. A previous reviewer commented on the breakfast not being sustainable in its focus on dairy and meat, but the food is all very responsibly and thoughtfully sourced. This is a unique location in a former silk factory and full of atmosphere and charm.
