I'm very thankful for the detailed directions given here by Till because it's not easy to find and the parking is an issue, however we found 2 alternative spots 500m walk from the trail entrance. One is just on the side of a road coming from the north direction (San Bartolome) at the start of the village Temisas, the other just 200m after the parking mentioned by Till on the other side of Temisas. So that was sorted no problem. The entrance to the trail is on my photos and a few more pics of the surprisingly rich, wild ecosystem of the mountains. I really enjoyed the scented sunny walk to the atmospheric caves. If you're a nature lover keep an eye for lizards, sand grass hoppers, Canarian Lavender, Artemisia, huge variety of cacti and other endemic organisms. The caves are small but unusual and absolutely worth the journey:) You can see the road from the top and lovely view of the mountains, ocean and village. There are many good looking trails around if you have the time. Make sure you have enough water and some food as it's like on a frying pan out there and easy to get lost 🥵🌞 Btw, the village Temisas is absolutely gorgeous and we really enjoyed lunch in El Acebuche, sitting in a shade of orange trees, inhaling their blossoms and tasting local goods. ❤️‍🔥

Fantastic cave and fantastic people! We made the entire 10km hike from Temisas to Agülmes and the cave was our main target. On the way there from Temisas we met a man who was walking in the same direction. He turned to be a landlord of the entire land the cave belongs to. His family plants prickly pears there and he comes to the cave from time to time for cleaning, because as you will see inside, some irresponsible tourists think it is a nice natural toilet. The man was so kind and not only showed us all the secret corridors and holes in the cave but also explained what the different plants in the area are, advised us to taste and smell some of them, and even shared a couple of lifehacks on how to remove needles from prickly pears using just branches of a bush growing next to it.

I started this walk from the road level caves and walked up the cliff face. There were many small caves here. Wear a good pair of walking shoes and avoid shorts! Cacti will scratch. I followed the path upwards. It became increasingly tricky but eventually I found the trail. Follow the trail up towards the ridge and you will be rewarded with the magnificent cave of caves. The viewpoints from this are spectacular

(Translated by Google) Shortly before the village of Inmaculada you can already see the caves in the steep rock face. A few meters before turning left into the village, where there is easy parking, is km 9 of the GC550 road. Right here the ascent begins over the narrow, stony path towards the caves. You should plan about 15 minutes for the way. On the way there is a signpost, which you pass on the right and always keep to the right on the further ascent. You will look in vain for signs to the caves. Once at the top, there is a small passage on the right into the mountain. In the cave there is a narrow passage on the left into another cavity with numerous niches. Very interesting to explore and a great view of the village.

Difficult to find the entrance. Take the path starting from the Km-9 sign, and take the small path towards right, dont get too far from the road, or you will be going in wrong direction.

Nice place to visit, little harder to find the correct trail, but definitely worth it. Bring proper shoes. No admission. It got very windy when we came

Till have wonderful instructions on how to get here and start the hike. I couldn’t find the parking mentioned though so we parked in Temisas and walked along the road, it was a 5 minute walk. Follow the wooden signposts and stick right, you cannot miss the caves. They are beautiful and the window to the valley is amazing. It’s a shame some people use some of the holes in the floor as a bathroom though. There are two main caves separated by a small tunnel you must climb through. It’s easy and not claustrophobic. Make sure to bring water, sun cream and good shoes to you can enjoy your time there! We went on a Tuesday at 11am and it was only us there.
