Iconic castle, not to be missed. Access to the stronghold from the main road implies a 800 m gravel road drive (accessible to all cars) and 200 m easy trek, but it worth all the effort. The guardian opened the stronghold for us and guided us through a network of narrow passages, stairs and terraces to the main towers with magnificent views. Perhaps one of the best preserved castles in Morocco, for us it is a definitely: "don't miss" and a nice, captivating lesson of history.

(Translated by Google) A place to say the least that it is wonderful and beautiful and enchants its explorers ^^ As soon as you give him a distant look from one of the many roundabouts surrounding him, you will have a kind of intense love towards knowing him, visiting him, and exploring the reason for his standing tall in the heights! And as soon as you set foot on its sides, which put an end to your sight, it pushes you to dive into its history, which exceeds hundreds of years! I never advise you to be satisfied with looking from afar or from its sides, your curiosity will not rest until you explore it from the inside, and it will cost you only some dirhams (I also recommend dealing generously with the guards of "Agadir" because they are simple people and their shyness stands between them and a request for a visit, so please deal with them Generous in return, the guards are a family that lives there, and you can imagine the difficulty of life there on the mountain.) )

Wow this must be one of the most amazing buildings I've seen in my life. The way they've build this over 300 years ago and it's still standing, it's really amazing. Please go if you have the chance! Several guards on site that speak some French, but ask for Mohammed if you would like an English tour guide. Mohammed his ancestors have worked in the kasbah so he knows a lot, and gives a wonderfull tour. He's nr is +212 628-762794

(Translated by Google) Exceptional location; very interesting visit, for a fee even if not guided. The caretaker only gives some indications on the path to follow. The view over the valley is remarkable, with good photo opportunities.

Not to be missed, after traveling throughout Europe and visiting many castles, this one stands out as rather special with its labyrinth of rooms and corridors, you will be amazed and pleased you took time to visit.

I arrived by myself on motorcycle around 615pm. Parked with local offering to keep an eye on bike for 10dh. Somewhat of a hike up to the Agadir with well made trail/path. The door was closed with “Dangir” written on it. I asked local if I could go in and they said no 😞 So sad I missed a massive Agadir and what it had to offer on the inside. Outside was cool though but if I knew I couldn’t go inside, I most likely wouldn’t have made the stop. Maybe I should have gone with a tour guide?

(Translated by Google) It is a monument which is called "Agadir" in Amazigh and which means attic. This building was used by the local Amazighs to store their precious goods (wheat, money, ...). There are several Agadirs like this all over the Amazigh regions of Morocco. We must enhance these historical monuments since it is a Moroccan identity.

(Translated by Google) Actually a fascinating place and one of the most beautiful Agadire in Morocco. Unfortunately, some tribes have been fighting in this area since spring 2019 and are blocking access so that Agadir can no longer be visited. So there is absolutely no point in going there because you cannot visit Agadir.

Absolutely worth visiting this place. A little difficult to get to. You need to be reasonably agile to climb up the hill side.

Absolutely worth a visit! Can be done in a day from Agadir or an afternoon from Taroudant. If you're near the area I highly recommend checking it out. The phone number listed above belongs to Mohamad, a local guide in the nearby village. He gave us an excellent tour and explained the history of the Agadir as well as the surrounding area. Mohamed speaks both English and French fluently in addition to Arabic and Amazigh. Our visit wouldn't have been as fulfilling without his guidance and knowledge!
