This guest house is a scam! When will people heed other negative reviews which expose this rapacious man and stop entering this place even for a visit, never mind staying overnight? Avoid this place completely! I booked a room for €61.20 via booking-com. I reserved a dinner for €32 for two people. I paid this man €93.20 in advance (that is 1,030 Moroccan dirham). His page on booking-com says: “Guests are offered mint tea upon arrival. Free internet.” All that is false. We were offered nothing upon arrival. Internet was available only for the first 20 minutes near the owner’s office while he was sitting there. When this extremely stingy owner leaves his office, the wi-fi is switched off. Afterwards, there was no internet access at all anywhere. The room has very little light; it was uncomfortable and with no place to put suitcase or clothes. Electric sockets are torn out with bare wires. The lampshades were twisted and repaired with tape. All rooms are freezing and without ANY heating. Our room had holes in the ceiling through which daylight was seen. At night it was frost -3°C outside, and it became +2°C in the room. We could not sleep all night due to cold — there was no heating whatsoever. There was total lack of comfort. Bathroom: we did not have hot water at all — occasionally water was barely lukewarm, at all other times it was just cold water. As it turned out on the following morning, this extremely miserly owner of this guest-house deliberately rations hot water, switches on the boiler for a very limited time, and even then he reduced its temperature. He does not want his guests to have heating, hot water, internet or even light in corridors. The shower in the bathroom has no glass surround or curtain; just a plastic shower head attached in the middle of a wall, so the entire bathroom becomes wet when you shower (in cold water!). You have to stand in a poodle of cold water on cold tiles in a freezing room. There is not any way to dry the floor, and the bathroom remains flooded and unusable for 24 hours. The promised welcome tea was not given on arrival. With regard to dinner for €32, we were told that there is a set menu, and it is impossible to choose any dishes. When we sat down at a table, we were given a plastic bottle of water. I had assumed the water was complimentary and was included as part of the dinner. We were served awful soup, followed by an overcooked tagine with little meat. After that we were given tea that we had not asked for; we drank it thinking it was offered as part of the dinner. On the following morning when we were leaving the hotel, we were angrily accused by the owner of not paying. He demanded: — 20 dirham for a bottle of water before the dinner (he pointed at the inconspicuous printed notice behind a bar that drinks are excluded from the €32 dinner); — 40 dirham for tea after dinner; — 40 dirham for entering the grounds of the kasbah (he pointed at the notice that all day visitors must pay an entry charge of 20 dirham per person); but we were overnight guests there — he still demanded that we pay an entry fee! — 20 dirham as a fine because my companion brough a bottle of juice with him into the lounge/dining room (he pointed at a notice behind the lounge door, which states guests are prohibited from bringing drinks, otherwise there will be a fine 20 dirham). I refused to pay him additional 120 dirham, as they were just contrived, fabricated charges, which he had never announced before. The owner became highly abusive and obnoxious, and ordered a male staff member to lock the huge prison-like gate. The staff member locked the gate, and we were told we would not be allowed to leave that kasbah, until we pay 120 dirham. Effectively, they kept us as hostages. We waited for 2 hours and decided to call police to report extortion and false imprisonment. When the obnoxious owner heard that we were speaking to police, he ordered his male staff member to unlocked the gate. Then he forcibly grabbed us behind our arms and violently pushed us outside the gate.

Amazing place to stay. Cool rooms in the winter so take warm clothes. Plenty of food. Terrace is idyllic.

I stayed there in the fall of 2019 and the stay was good. I planned to stay there this fall and the customer service regarding refunds due to COVID-19 travel restriction has been dismal. I have sent 20 emails regarding this and have been mostly ignored, they seem to have a take the money and run Approach. Also when I stayed there previously, there were several hidden charges people should be aware of : there was a tourist tax, and meals/drinks were not included with the price advertised online. It's a bummer because it's a beautiful spot, but stock with Air b n b.

Really unique surroundings and well positioned for the climbs on the north side of Anti Atlas. They also serve good food and are super friendly hosts. The rooftop terrace is great place for their excellent mint tea. We didn’t have warm water in the shower though, so one might want to check that upfront if it’s an important thing for you.

Amazing location. BUT very basic. Luke warm 'shower' if you are lucky. Freezing cold in February with no heating. No wi-fi. Shared bathroom. No chairs or seats in bedrooms. Very expensive for what you get. You are definitely paying for the location.

A great and memorable stay in an ancient kasbah. Dramatic setting. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty food.

Beautiful view from the restaurant terrace, very unique location; we did not stay overnight, but just stopped for some food, which was below average and very expensive for the region.

An incredible place, a step into history, very well deserving of gentle tourism support so that they can maintain this wonderful site.

Amazing village on top of a hill, very scenic, but renovation is quite modest, room interior rather poor, menu and service can be improved. Quite pricy! Good for instagram pictures.

Unreal mid age fortress with enchanted pathes between high walls. Find an endless number of little doors where each is keeping a secret of yet another untoled story from times past. Great especially at nights. Staff is lovely. Food superb. Rooms spacy. View us stunning And watching stars a real pleasure especially for us city people.

Tizourgane is a tourist attraction not to be missed in the region of Agadir in Morocco. 105 km from Agadir, on the road to Tafraout, and 40 kilometers from Ait Baha, Kasbah Tizourgane rises overlooking the Berber village and was built in the thirteenth century. The Berber Kasbah (or Kasbah) was then used as a refuge for the peasants during the civil wars. The kasbah of Tizourgane has been converted into a guest house completely renovated with traditional construction techniques. This is the starting point for wonderful sightseeing excursions in the region, and hiking amid argan and almond trees. A region to discover especially at the end of winter, while the trees are in bloom.

An extremely abusive and unpleasant man. Decided that camping nearby on legal land was unacceptable and even fetched the military to remove the "eyesore" from his view. Fortunately the military decided that we were doing nothing wrong and even mounted a guard for us overnight.
