What a cute area! We did not arrive in Omiya until 4PM on a Friday evening after a last minute change in plans, sadly the bonsai and manga museum were already closed, but after seeing this area on Design Talk+ during an NHK World broadcast, I knew we'd have to at least walk around and check it out. The small visitor center was still open and provided free walking maps of the area, which was appreciated! The entire area was a quiet residential district and a pleasure to walk. Littered with small outdoor bonsai areas in from of random houses and small parks to enjoy outdoor time in, if that's your cup of tea I highly recommend talking a stroll in the neighborhood if you find yourself in the area. It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Most beautiful place! Well worth a visit from Tokyo. Museum is amazing, great restaurant opposite the entrance. Worth going to all of the independent nurseries dotted about the lovely village, they are all unique. Spent an entire day lost amongst the little trees.

place for serenity and love. certainly a relaxing place to visit. an extraordinary experience to see those tiny trees in pots. imagine all the loving hands that took care of them from generations to generations. it is that deep sense of culture and love. one does not apply to work as a bonsai care taker. it's pure love that connects the master to the tree that brings out the best of that relationship. awesome is an understatement.

Very interesting, I visited the nearby Bonsai museum first and then looked around some of the Bonsai growing nurseries in this area. There are many beautiful trees carefully and meticulously crafted and cared for, it is really fascinating. Please respect signs asking you not to touch or take photographs.

The bonsai area in Omiya far exceeded my expectations. It is a place not only unique to Saitama, but to the world. The area has cultivated bonsai for almost a hundred years, but many of the bonsai are much older than that. Apart from gardens and nursuries the area has some pretty streets and buildings.

(Translated by Google) It is a bonsai area near Toro Station. In this area, one family is growing a bonsai tree, there is also a bonsai museum, and you can see expensive bonsai trees that cost several hundred million yen. When I went, I used to display Bonsai works and sell a lot of bonsai on the roads around the museum. If you like bonsai, please go to Bonsai Village once. Really interesting visit. This is a quiet area that isn't frequented by too many tourists. If bonsai is your thing, this is heaven for you. There's a lot of different places you can go into completely free to see the bonsai trees, there's also a museum nearby too. Only thing to mention is that some places are very picky about photos. I'm not sure why but don't get yourself in trouble!

(Translated by Google) It is recommended to visit if you like bonsai. Bonsai in harmony between “natural beauty” and “artificial beauty” may seem like a hobby for elderly people in Japan, but it is popular as a plant art abroad, and many young foreigners like bonsai. It is rare. Many famous overseas actors are attracted to the charm of bonsai. There are also artistic works with beautiful beauty like a miniature garden. It's like a splendor that represents a garden. Many wonderful bonsai pieces are handled, but you can appreciate the bonsai with your eyes in the middle of the height of the bonsai. I'm looking for a bonsai that feels the nature and landscape behind the bonsai. Since the bonsai container is shallow, we water every morning and evening in summer. Watering once a day in winter. Since the bonsai vessel is shallow, after about three years after planting it, cut the roots and care for them to grow well.

(Translated by Google) After a while from Toro station, the cityscape will change. In addition to bonsai shops, there are also large houses with beautifully arranged gardens in the gardens. It feels like a quiet mansion town, and the air is different. A world completely different from Tokyo, which is packed with houses. People are only a part of nature, and it is ideal to live with nature. This is the best environment. It is said that the bonsai shop in Sendagi's Dangozaka was reclaimed in 1925 after the Great Kanto Earthquake (1923), and this area became a bonsai village. It's been almost 100 years since then.
