Restaurante Vidal provided delicious leitão for our wedding brunch. They were ultra professional and offered a great service and communication in all the planning. All our guests loved the quality of the food. This is an excellent restaurant with very caring staff.

Had a fantastic meal! The Leitao was very tender and tasty 😍🤤 We visited 2 more Leitao during our holiday, but this is the best. The location of the restaurant is quite far from the tourist area. We were coming to the area specifically to visit the restaurant and that was worth the effort. Along the way, we saw multiple restaurants specialising in Leitao. It seems that it is the speciality of the area. Be ready to wait before you get a table. You couldn't make a reservation. We called beforehand, but still, need to line up when we arrived. It was approx. 15-20min line when we were there. But they provide some seats in the garden next to the restaurant for people to wait, so it wasn't so bad. They don't really speak English and the restaurant is mostly packed with locals (which is a good thing!), but of course, you should have the Leitao. We just pointed to the other table and they understand 😂 In the end, they were so kind as to show us the grilling area and gave us complimentary wine from the area. That was a nice memory. We will come back when we visit Portugal!

Best pork we have ever eaten - like marshmallows. Super friendly service. The place was packed. We had to wait for a table so book ahead if you can. Don’t miss this place. It’s well worth the detour for lunch and 15mins from the Alianca Underground Museum and Winery so perfect combo.
