The place is well maintained. I wish there were safety rails on the first floor and found it very unsafe for children. Overall, it's a lovely place for adults to visit.

This tomb is an excellent marvel showing architectural design of nizam shahi. It is the final resting place of salabat khan and his wife which is located at the basement. Now this place is protected by archeological survey of India under Aurangabad circle as monument of national importance. Very peaceful place to visit. Bring your own food as the food here us little expensive. Also dont throw garbage.

Historical place museum. The tomb of salabat khan is also known as chandbiiwi's Mahal. It is very calm place . It is very neatly maintain. The mausoleum of salabat khan 2 was built by himself during his lifetime to provide a burial place for him and his wife. A great statesman respected and loved by the people of ahmednagar was appointed minister in 1579 during reign of murtuza . He was also know as great building and many beautiful buildings 🏢 representing nizamshahi style of architecture in ahmednagar and it's vicinity are credited to salabat khan. this tomb dated to later half of the 16th century is locally popular as chand-bibi-ka mahal and it is located on a small hill and commanding a view of the surrounding country side. The tomb is an excellent of nizam shahi architecture, which indicates a departure from the usual single chambered square type of tombs. It is build on a lofty octagonal terrace of stone about 91.44 m in width and 3.66 m. In height. The tomb is consists of an octagonal 3.66 m wide wide hall surrounded by a three storied 6.1m broad verandah. The sides of verandah has faced with alternate open and closed archies , the latter being provided with a number of smailer arched opening placed symmetrically . The whole building rises to a height of about 21.4m . The tomb is protected by the archaeological Survay of india under aurangabad circle as monument of national importance vide notification no.2704 -A dated 26.05.1909.

Historical place, almost clean place which is really difficult to say considering how many people come to visit this place. There are still improvements that can be done as barricades at the second floor so that it does not turn into crime scene in matter of seconds. Additionally, the top floor is locked up due to some unknown person decided to punish his girlfriend, well that's what I was told. People need to be respectful about these places and not turn them to targeted places to execute their evil right. Place is at the top of mountain, lots of local food options provided by local farmers, plenty of fresh air and enough quiet place to find the serenity in the busy Indian life. Easily spent 2 hours with my local buddy.

The nice view of chandbibi mahal and the outside areas are also beautiful. It just needs some Garden and good roads to reach there to make it more beautiful, And give some income to the government as well as vendors. There are parking charges of Rs. 20 for Car, For bike I don't know.

We went to this place a few years back. It is a nice picnic spot. The views around this tomb are magnificent. The place can be a bit crowded on weekends. Best time to visit would be between 4-6pm. Don't miss the windmills when you are here. It is quite intimidating when you are standing below the windmill and the blades rotate with a whipping motion above you.

Chandbibi Mahal is located on a small hill near Ahmednagar city. It is very neatly maintained by the authorities. It is a huge structure build during 15th century. It has 2 storey will viewing gallery in all direction. Approch to the 2nd Floor is closed by the authorities. Best time to visit is early morning or around sunset. Late monsoon is also a best time to visit. It is very calm place to enjoy the breeze and surrounding mountain landen with windmills.

Historical place of Ahmednagar(Sonewadi) There is need to be improvements of bars or grill at second floor so that it does not turn into crime scene in matter of seconds. Additionally, the top floor is locked up due to some unknown person decided to punish his girlfriend, well that's what I hear from local people. Place is at the top of mountain, lots of local food options provided by local farmers, plenty of fresh air and enough quiet place to find the serenity in the busy life. Must visit the place!!!!!

Historical Place, Chandbibi Mahal is specially Made as Tomb of Salabat Khan, who was Ruler & emperor. Its Made on Good height from actual Road. So If someone wish to Visit here, Must Required Vehicle. Height is May be 500-600 Meters up from Road. I have climbed there from rock way. I Liked it, it little risky. It is a very beautiful place, the structure is still intact. The place has beautiful surroundings and you can sit and watch the whole city and windmills from the top. Many people do visit for morning walks. Cons: Some idiots eat and spit gutkha in the structure. Also i saw many litters over there. No person or guard to instruct or stop people from doing it.

The Tomb of Salabat Khan II is also commonly but mistakenly known as Chandbiwi's Mahel, Chand Bibi Palace or similar variations.[1] It is a three-storey stone structure situated on the crest of a hill, 13 km from Ahmednagar city in the state of Maharashtra, India. The tomb is about 3080 feet above sea level on the top of a hill, 700–800 feet above the city, offering good views of the surrounding landscape and visible from almost anywhere in the city.[2]

It is a good old Historical Site with scenic views, But some upper floors are unsafe for kids and all, there should be proper barricades so no one is injured, and the place could be maintained better, needs some more attractions and food places nearby, The Road that leads to it should be repaired as it's very broken.

Surrounding view from top of tomb is magnificent. The surrounding hills have many wind turbines. There is no entry fee for the visit. Parking is also free.

This is nice tomb on hills near Nagar. The building is in very good condition even today. The passage at ground floor as well as on top floor is very windy. We enjoyed the visit to this place. The building is with eight sides called as Ashtkoni.

The tomb of Salabat khan II and his wife rest in an octagonal basement. Iis also commonly but mistakenly known as Chandbiwi's Mahel, Chand Bibi Palace or Mahal. It is a three-storey stone structure situated on the crest of a hill, 13 km from Nagar city. The tomb is about 3080 feet above sea level on the top of a hill, 700–800 feet above the city, offering good views of the surrounding landscape and visible from almost anywhere in the city. It is believed that the structure was planned to be seven-storey but only three were built. The building is plain and having eight sided platform. The tomb has angular holes so has been given that rise so during sunset, sun light falls on it. The Tomb is surrounded by lush - green garden. •Entry Tickets not required. •Enough parking space available at the hill. •Some small shop are there you can buy snacks and water.
