Mahal.
It
is
very
calm
place
.
It
is
very
neatly
maintain.
The
mausoleum
of
salabat
khan

was
built
by
himself
during
his
lifetime
to
provide
a
burial
place
for
him
and
his
wife.
A
great
statesman
respected
and
loved
by
the
people
of
ahmednagar
was
appointed
minister
in
1579
during
reign
of
murtuza
.
He
was
also
know
as
great
building
and
many
beautiful
buildings
🏢
representing
nizamshahi
style
of
architecture
in
ahmednagar
and
it's
vicinity
are
credited
to
salabat
khan.
this
tomb
dated
to
later
half
of
the
16th
century
is
locally
popular
as
chand-bibi-ka
mahal
and
it
is
located
on
a
small
hill
and
commanding
a
view
of
the
surrounding
country
side.
The
tomb
is
an
excellent
of
nizam
shahi
architecture,
which
indicates
a
departure
from
the
usual
single
chambered
square
type
of
tombs.
It
is
build
on
a
lofty
octagonal
terrace
of
stone
about
91.44
m
in
width
and
3.66
m.
In
height.
The
tomb
is
consists
of
an
octagonal
3.66
m
wide
wide
hall
surrounded
by
a
three
storied
6.1m
broad
verandah.
The
sides
of
verandah
has
faced
with
alternate
open
and
closed
archies
,
the
latter
being
provided
with
a
number
of
smailer
arched
opening
placed
symmetrically
.
The
whole
building
rises
to
a
height
of
about
21.4m
.
The
tomb
is
protected
by
the
archaeological
Survay
of
india
under
aurangabad
circle
as
monument
of
national
importance
vide
notification
no.2704

dated
26.05.1909.
