A city of Heritage. Lovely , we went for a Heritage walk along with a guied. He explained us why and how Ahemadabad become a Heritage city. We visited the ram mandi to jain temple to jumma masjid. Here people are living in close packed homes like a family. All religious people are styling next to each other vary happily. Since we went in morning we couldn't find much crowd in that place. We terminated our walk at jumma masjid. Over all wonderful experience with the Heritage walk in they Heritage city. They old houses with finest craving were amazing.

It was a pleasant experience & a nice timepass for outsiders to know the city well esp if the weather is good. TIPS TO REMEMBER for anyone who's planning to go: 1)prefer weekdays for smaller groups 2)always go on a pleasant weather day checking weather updates in advance (it will make the most difference) 3) wear comfortable chappals and avoid socks and shoes at all cost. It's not a v long walk that your feet may tire, but there are many temples, masjids where you have to remove footwear again & again, so better to wear chappals/sandals. 4) wear full pants only. don't wear anything above the knee as entry into religious places will be restricted. This may be underwhelming for people from Rajasthan, you can better go for Adalaj vav or Thol. :) Lastly, if due to genuine reasons or glitches on their part you're unable to go for the walk on booked time, they co-operate with shifting slots too. That was really nice.

We booked online but you can also book by going there directly. It's a 2km walk that starts at 7:30AM from Swami Narayan temple and ends in Jama masjid. It's a nice way to learn about old Ahmedabad architecture and culture.

Must do in Ahmedabad. Its a great way to know more about the city, its POLES, its history, temples, mosques. My friends from France enjoyed the 3km walk and also the breakfast at Chandravilas Restaurant. Its one of the best to taste Gujarati meal. Would recommend to book the heritage walk with the meal.

I wholeheartedly recommend the heritage walk. It was a great experience. The booking office is inside Swaminarayan Mandir Kalupur on the 1st floor after taking a right turn from the main entrance.

This is the very religious place actually this temple build before 200 years ago Construct under the guidance of ANANDANAND SWAMI who directly got order from Lord Swaminarayan here you get the inner peace and this place is such a very peaceful and meditate place

Lovely experience taking a walk through this beautiful world heritage city. The guide was decent didn’t go into great detail like the other guides my friends have had earlier. The walk is very memorable and you get to see such detailed wood work and amazingly preserved. The city has its charm as the religions intertwine into one another and the sensibility also overlaps.

Amazing experience it was. Explored old ahemdabad in this heritage walk. Around 20 places were included in this. It was 2 to 2.5 km walk where we can experience the old ahmedabad and the vibe over there. Such an unforgettable moment. And the guide was amazing. Any trip to Ahmedabad is incomplete without this experience. An amazing experience, even for local amdavadis who have not explored the old city before. Our english guide, I think his name was mustafa, was an exceptionally good orator and kept everyone hooked to various fun historical snippets throughout the walk.

Mandir se Masjid tak, the Heritage Walk was initiated to blend in the best of both and give a peek into the architectural offerings available in the old city. Swaminarayan temple, havelis, and pols are all displaying and still stand witness to the diaspora and influence of Mughal, Marwad, Maratha and Oriental, and British culture. A must do for even locals who have never understood the history and culture. Time well spent and much better than going ro a mall!

It is a temple of Vishnu and Krishna. One of the best place to visit in Ahmedabad. Only walking distance from Railway station.

It's a place where the heritage building are surrounding a Swami Narayan temple. A wonderful place to visit in the evening with family and friends. The way going to the location is a bit congested. There is parking inside.

We had a wonderful experience doing the heritage walk in the morning. It started at Swaminarayan Temple Kalupur and ended at Jama Masjid. The two kilometer walk was very informative and interesting as it took us to a lot of places where there is rich history. They have done a good job of narrating the facts as specifically our tour person was right on point without getting into too much details. I would highly recommend it.
