👍👍 We were looking for authentic Malaysian in Berlin. While there are plenty of Indonesian restaurants, it's not quite the same. We came across this and called ahead of time on the same day and reserved a table. Getting there, the place looked quaint and very clearly family owned. We thought, this is... A good spot for authentic Malaysian food. Small and cosy restaurant. Food is well made and many classic Malaysian dishes on the menu. They also have Malaysian drinks, tried a root beer, and stick to the authentic concept by not serving any beer or wine - which is well acceptable in their case. Staff is nice, speak both German and English. Only thing to highlight as improvement potential is that they take cash only, this is not OK in 2022, but will not reduce points for that in this case as they were very nice.

We were looking for authentic Malaysian in Berlin. While there are plenty of Indonesian restaurants, it's not quite the same. We came across this and called ahead of time on the same day and reserved a table. Getting there, the place looked quaint and very clearly family owned. We thought, this is gonna be good and it sure was. The food reminds you of home cooking. Think of your mom or grandma and that's the feeling. The dishes were not trying to mask themselves as upscale dining but just comfort food. Full of flavor and everything tasted great! The owner was also extremely friendly and super attentive. She spent some time chatting with us and sharing her love of restaurants and food. Very welcoming. If you're looking to get dessert here, it's not available. Although wait for the summer to come around and theyve got a traditional Malay desert to serve up. 100% recommend and will definitely be back again for that Roti Chanai.

I desperately miss Malaysian food living in Europe, and when people recommended this place, I was eager to try it. It definitely lived up to my expectations! The Nasi Lemak was great! Roti Canai was perfect (with the real curry!) -- the only thing that was a slight let-down was the Kuey Tiaw Goreng (or "char kueh teow") which still tasted good, but not very similar to the dish in Malaysia. All-in-all, still a big success, and I will definitely be back. Just be aware that the service can be a bit slow, because it seems it's a purely family run restaurant. So when it gets busy, you wait longer. The ambiance is cozy, so it was no problem for us at all. Cash-only.

I came to this small restaurant to try their Nasi Lemak and it was decent. The amount of food was quite fair, much more sufficient than it appeared to be at first glance. Since this restaurant serves rather simple street food in terms of their ingredients, I find it somewhat overpriced. FYI, they accept cash payments only.

Warm and cozy restaurant feeling like going home. Second time trying Malaysian food and it’s quite tasty. Staffs are very nice and friendly. They are also kids friendly. We ordered different food and drinks and they are all very tasty. I love the sweet seasoned pork with spicy sauce. It’s well balanced and very delicious.

Tried nasi lemak and liked the beautiful combination of coconut rice and sambal. The chicken was deep fried which i dont prefer. What i didnot like was the noodles with soy sauce. Tasted pretty bland.

Very friendly owner, made me feel like home. Good price, tasty food, many vegetarian choices. Satye is germanize, not spicy at all. Many local Malaysiam drinks, should definitely try. I recommend Malaysia milk tea (black).

WOW!!!!!!!!! This small restaurant offers very authentic Malaysian cuisine in Berlin. Don’t judge the look outside, there’s a magic in their food…. freaking delicious!!!!! Just make sure that you bring your cash as they don’t accept card payments. Opening hours from 17-22:00 everyday. Highly recommended!!!!

I had nasi lemak special (coconut milk rice with 6 sides) with air limau kasturi (fresh squeezed calamansi drink with crushed ice), and as a good round off an "air tenaga" (energy booster). I have to say I was actually still full from lunch, but I still ate the whole plate with gusto, that's how good it tasted. Nasi lemak was not too overwhelming but just a hint of the coconut milk fragrance, blends so well with rendang daging (Malay beef stew), and it contrasts so well with the gulai udang (tangy sweet sour shrimp 🍤 - definitely worth a try!). The fried egg is done exactly as you'll find back in Malaysia, ikan bilis and roasted peanuts with skin (+cucumber slices with zigzag frills) are a must, and the fried tofu and pressed tempeh are a welcome addition. I know what I'll be dreaming about tonight 🤤 Air limau kasturi is also done exactly like in a mamak stall in Malaysia, just tangy enough and sweet enough to cleanse and tempt your palate. Air tenaga, now that's not something I've tried before. But the day being gray and chilly, I ordered it. It did not disappoint. It's Malaysian black tea with calamansi quarters, ginger strips, peppermint leaves and nigella fennel seeds, you get to add honey according to taste. A worthy halal opponent to Glühwein in the Christmas season. :)

First time eating Malaysian food and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and the spice 🌶️ was a great surprise. Going to bed very satisfied tonight. Only bummer was it took over 20 minutes until someone came to take our order and another 20-30 for the appetizer and food to come out. Worth the wait and friendly staff.

I came by with a Taiwanese friend and we tried their Nasi Lemak varieties. Needless to say, it was fantastic. I was genuinely surprised as Asian restaurants here in Europe tend to tweak their dishes beyond recognition. The ayam was fried exactly how we have it back home, and the Teh Halia Susu I had was nicely consistent (speaking as a Singaporean who thinks Malaysian food is better). Moreover, the service was friendly and homely. Thank you Seri Melayu for this slice of home in Charlottenburg.

Reviewed as asian who living germany.. The atmosphere is really cozy. I feel like home. And the food was good and also halal. This is the most authentic malaysia restaurant that you can find in berlin. And the food also similar to the Indonesian food. Im trying spring roll, nasi lemak, nasi kremes and teh tarik. They were good and come also with really huge amount. Fyi you cannot pay with card! You have to bring cash ;)

Small, cozy place. It was quite crowded when we got here, and we hadn't reserved a table, but they managed to kindly give us one. We ordered Nasi Lemak and Lembu Berempah. They were both delicious. The service was also great. We will definitely go there again.

I’ve visited this restaurant a couple of times. I tried their nasi lemak, curry, fried rice noodles, etc. But I just LOVE their kwetiaw goreng! Aka fried thin rice noodles. It was a smoky dish with sweet savoury touch. They even added a big piece of crispy chicken. That’s a very big point. Once you try their fried thin noodles, you won’t trust other fried thin rice noodles anywhere else 😂

Super tasty food, and the service was fast, i will go again for sure! Really satisfied with everything, the prices are nice too, we spend a lil bit more money because everything was so tasty that we ordered more food and drinks 🤩 Feels authentic and homemade. Really nice.

A bit lacking in nice decorations but the food was really good. A colleague who just moved from Malaysia was with us and said it was really close to home.

First time at malasyan restaurant. I order the mix plate and was amazing experience. I was able to try fish beef and chicken in one dish. The traditional drinks are also very good not too sweet due to the condensed milk!

I love simple nasi lemak like the ones they sell on the roadside in Malaysia so the luxurious version here was quite a treat. I would have preferred more sambal and rice but that's just personal preference. I like the friendly owners, the cosy atmosphere and the thoughtful decorations like batik and ketupat weavings that transport me for a moment, back home. Terima kasih!

Small, simple and clean restaurant. Food is strongly flavoured, tasty and filling. Price level reasonable. I had Nasi lemak special. It was good with rice, different meat and prawns. The portion was a bit dry overall, fairly large and very eatable. Fast and nice service. Could visit again.

Very authentic and tasty Malaysian food. The nasi lemak special comes with a variety of Malaysian dishes. Worth the wait for all that we ordered that were reasonably priced and perfectly served by a very friendly owner.

Absolutely loved the food. Will be my #1 pick for Malaysian food. Highly recommend the mixed plate with rice, chicken, curry, fish, tofu and boiled egg. Also the roti starters are great.

I ordered Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik both were very delicious. The taste reminded me of my trip to Malaysia. If you want to enjoy the authentic taste of Malaysia then this restaurant is highly recommended.

If I need to give a MVP for a restaurant that I visited this year so far, then this would be the one! The taste, service, and everything are just in the spot. The milk is sick as well which is rarely found in Berlin. I read some previous comments saying there’s no difference between 601 and 604. Well, I think it’s a bit misleading. If you want to have beef curry, please go with 604!!!!!
