We went here spontaneously to have dinner. The Food was good and the service was great, especially loved the Button under the table to call the waiter/waitress. The Service was Great and the staff was lovely, however they seemed somewhat scared and intimated by the owner who was running around and telling everyone to hurry up. The staff seemed incredibly scared to make a mistake, especially when bringing us the food and wondering if everything is correct. The Food was good but the main dish was a bit overpriced.

All I can say is that I'm absolutely overjoyed to have dined at Tapiocaria Berlin. Should they decide to create a weekly subscription service where meals are dropped at your front door, I'll be the first person to sign up! The Service: I arrived without a reservation on a Saturday evening and they were still able to seat me immediately. The waitress assigned to my table was exceptional offering to take my order in German, English, or Portuguese. She was kind and attentive when I asked questions. This sort of positive energy goes such a LONG way when eating out as it makes you feel appreciated as a customer. She was a real gem, true hospitality! The Food: The Do Mar de Sertao was perfect, 12/10, bringing new world styles to classic Brazilian flavors. For dessert I had the Tropical Dream, very light and refreshing. It actually reminded me of a much airy version of a churro. I'll be back again and will certainly struggle between trying something new or ordering these same dishes they were that good. The Price: It's not the cheapest meal, I'll admit that. My main dish + dessert + Limonade came to 23€. Just consider this a small splurge after a long week and your checkbook will understand. The Location / Accessibility: If you're a public transportation rider, (considering this is Berlin the reality is you definitely are) you'll be pleased to know it's about a 3 minute distance from the Samariterstrasse stop. In terms of wheelchair access, while the restaurant can move the benches to accommodate a chair the cobblestone won't make for a easy time.

Been here two times now and both times it's blown me away. The Tapiacos were fantastic (well balanced, unique texture, and super flavorful fillings), as were the other starters we tried (cheeseballs and croquettes). Honestly everything is probably good

Unfortunately our experience was not bad but extremely bad. We called to book a table but when we arrived at the restaurant (clock time), there was no table available. We had to wait for some diners to leave. After 55 minutes of ordering, we got our food, which was nothing compared to how it is in Brazil, not to mention the absolute lack of customer service. Just a new snobbish place "for tourists...".

Food and vibe are good. But the price point is pretty high for what you get. Had the fish special which was a little bland and cost 24€. Cheese balls were amazing and 8€ for 5 little ones. My girlfriend got the steak which was probably the best dish on the table. So it was good not great, and prices are high. 70€ for 2, without drinks.

Very nice Brazilian food which is 100% gluten-free, so heaven for celiacs! Especially the various tapiocas and cheese balls were great! Service was super friendly and fun, but could be a bit better organised. We took it with humor and had a good time nevertheless.

1st time I tried it about 1 year ago (Feijoada and tapioca with meat that looks fluffier in the photo), I fell in love with the Tapicoa dough. It was chewy and a bit moist. I was very looking forward to eating them again, but when I tried it recently, the dough became dry, and it was crumbly. Not recommended at all (tapiocas that look flat in the photos). Portions in general are really small for its price and sauce for the Cassava fries need to be paid separately. (Addition after owner's comment): Thanks for your feedback. I understand it is hard for small businesses (trust me, I know very well). Please take the comments from the customers as a way to improve. Assuming the standards of their taste and comparison is based on fast food chains is a long shot. This review at least is based on the current restaurants offer in Berlin, all small businesses, where one can easily get full with good quality food for 10-20€ (although prices due to inflation are changing). 20-30€ for Berlin prices in Dec. 2023 are high.

Most dishes were quite good but the banana one lacked flavour. Prices are okayish. I liked the button for ordering it's like in Japan and you are not disturbed otherwise, though maybe too hidden here. Why not place it on the table ?

Very good restaurant with typical Brazilian food and the service is very friendly, polite and good, as expected from Brazilians 🎉. I would recommend you to ask for the MandiaconFrita for starters and a PF as Main dish. Try the Brazilian Guaraná (soft drink) and for dessert a Romeo & Julieta Tapioca. The price is a little bit high, but worth it! And of course, try a real caipirinha with good Brazilian cachaça!

Absolut empfehlenswert

It was nice to eat Brazilian food after so many years without and it was delicious. But omg that Spanish speaking girl treated us so badly. I have never seen a waiter like this before. Absolutely rude. Something probably happened to her that day but she needs to keep it professional. Other waiter were great 👍

The food is absolutely delicious. It is authentic Brazilian food, not watered down to fit to the German taste. Great combination of ingredients and excellent menu covering dishes from several parts of Brazil. I couldn't recommend more.

Loved the food, bit small space so book a table to make sure you can try the great food from North eastern Brazil! Best caipirinha I had in my life 😍

As a half-Brazilian having lived most of my life abroad, my experience is that Brazilian restaurants abroad are notoriously difficult to nail because of Brazilian products which are difficult to get abroad, average cooks, untrained staff and a generic "Latam" atmosphere. But I was delighted to be proven wrong on every single one of these points tonight. The food and drinks were outstanding, from the seasoning of the black beans to the cheesiness of the pão de queijo, the crispiness of the cassava fries as well as the deliciously well balanced acerola Spritz and the smooth creaminess of the pudim. The staff were super friendly (in a genuine, not a I-need-your-tip-to-pay-rent kind of way), service was fast (order online from your table or through the waiters) and the atmosphere felt authentically Brazilian, with good music (for once not too loud!) and Brazilian staff and guests, everyone in a good mood and nothing over the top. Will definitely go there again as soon as possible to try everything else on the menu.

I only knew tapioca from Bubble tea which is why I was surpsised to learn what other things you can make out of that stuff. The food itself is varied; the main dish/snack probably would be those tapioca rolls (as pictured). They have them with all kinds of fillings. I tried the caprese one, but there's also chocolate. Big shoutout to the waiters, who have been very friendly. The prices are also pretty affordable. These rolls. Will cost you around the 5€ - 6€ mark. What's also interesting is that you order through a website and pay through PayPal. I have literally never seen that in Germany and all of the times where we offered to pay in PayPal we were just told that they don't accept it, so kudos for being this progressive! Highly recommended to try out.

Delicious food. Very authentic, very good quality and the typical Brazilian friendliness and very very good service! The price is a bit higher, but it is worth because of all of the above. I will come back soon ☺️

The food was tasty, we had never tried this kind of food before and liked it. Nevertheless, we all felt that the portions were very small and given that the food was not particularly cheap we ended up going somewhere else afterwards to have some desserts as we were still hungry. We also didn't much like the service. They didn't pay much attention to is, every time I wanted to order something I had to go to the bar and even to pay they asked us to directly go to the cashier.

The place for Brazilians who feel “saudade”. Specially inside, the whole atmosphere makes you feel like you're in “boteco”. Music, smells, staffs, people around speaking Portuguese… We had dadinho de Tapioca, coxinha, petisco de boteco, pudim, brigadeirão e beijão! By the way, I loved their coffee. 😍 Be aware that some dishes are seasonal and others may sell out. Suggestion: pastel, sausage/cabanosi with onion and cassava will be a hit. And “bolinho de feijoada” all year round 😄

An interesting glutenfree and healthy menu. Very delicious, fresh and authentic food. Super friendly service, comfy rustic atmosphere, just a little to loud sometimes. Definitely a recommendation for something different for celiacs.

One of those place that "has it all". Tasty food, generous portions, everything gluten free, vegetarian options available, intimate seating indoor, outdoor seating, good cocktails, staff that speaks English, card payment, you name it. Tapiocas are great, the main dishes are very interesting and flavorful, and the cocktails were very well made. What's not very obvious is that everything (except the beer) is gluten-free. All. Dishes!

Tried Brazilian food for the first time. Tapioca Vegan, the black beans 🫘 curry and the fries were all delicious 😋 also tried the jackfruit tapiocara and did not like it much. Overall nice service and ambience. They also have a small water filter for everyone. Price to quantity ratio was not great, lot of the dishes were main course price but rather too small!

Tapiocaria is a small and cozy Brazilian restaurant that offers the famous Tapioca and other traditional Brazilian dishes. Everything we ordered tasted great and the portions were quite big as well. The staff is super friendly and is happy to explain the different dishes to you.

It’s the best Brazilian restaurant I’ve ever tried outside Brazil. The food is always fresh and delicious. I always take my friends and family to Tapiocaria so they can experience a little of Brazilian cousin and culture.

That was nice to try Brazilian food here in Berlin. I was missing that a lot. The tapioca with dried meat is awesome! On a second visit I tried the Coxinha but that wasn't nice. Maybe the kitchen was in a hurry and that was not that crunch and the interior was cold/freezed. They have a very complete menu and worth a visit to try them all.

Good tapioca (I really liked the shredded chicken, well seasoned). The beans were also delicious. My husband had a PF (prato feito), a typical Brazilian dish with simple but delicious and nutritious foods, and he really liked it. Good service as well. I would go back to this place.

We were happy to relive our Brazilian food experiences here in Berlin: tapiocas, coxinnhas, dadinhos, acai, etc. Unfortunately have to take one star for oily-greasy aftertaste. The service was good.

They have a good variety of vegan options for starters and dishes such as Jackfruit Coxinha, cassava fries, moqueca de banana da terra, vegan feijoada and vegan tapioca. You can have as a vegan dessert the açaí bowl. I tried the vegan tapioca, jackfruit coxinha and cassava fries, everything was excellent. Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend it.

Visited this Brazilian restaurant in Berlin for an early afternoon meal with a friend and overall, I had a decent experience. The smokey vegan dish I ordered was prepared well and had a nice flavor to it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, adding to my overall enjoyment of the meal. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service as it took a while for the staff to come to our table to take our order. Despite this small hiccup, the staff was friendly and attentive once they did come to our table.
