Superfun experience; we were so glad to have chosen the Providence over other possible ways to get to the Whitsundays. Nice sailboat, very laid-back journey (yes, other boats are faster, but we were on a HOLIDAY), nice and fun crew that took great care of us (two adults and two kids of 9 and 11). Whale- and turtlespotting on the fly, nice visit to the beach and a spectacular snorkling session (bring your own wetsuit if you wish to wear one - the boat has snorkels, goggles and 'pool-noodles; we didn't need suits, and we were there end of July - winter!). I'd choose the Providence any day!

We did the sunset cruise. This is a relaxing way to spend time in the calm waters off Airlie Beach, in the cool of the day. Once we left the Marina the skipper cut the engine and hoisted the sail. The sparkling wine and cheese platter were delicious. The crew were lovely, very friendly and professional with a great sense of humour.

Can’t believe some of the negative reviews on here…you can’t go sailing and not expect to get wet 😂 Such an amazing day. We wanted a sailing cruise experience rather than a speed boat and Providence V certainly delivered! We enjoyed every moment out on the water, laying down, relaxing and taking in the views (as the other crowded speed boats zoomed past!). Hospitality was great with friendly company, fresh food and cool drinks. Highlight of the day was seeing a Sea turtle! Would certainly recommend this option if you’re after the true sailing experience of the Whitsundays and a relaxing day out on the water. Thank you guys for the perfect experience.

My first time sailing and absolutely enjoying every minute. On the sunset sail we were welcomed with a complimentary glass of champagne, nibbles and music playing throughout the evening whilst watching the stunning sunset. A memory I will cherish forever.

The day was really nice on board with the staff. The pick up was on time , We discovered beautiful places… Just some information to improve for the next trips : inform the clients that we need at least 1L of water with us as we don’t have any water refill in the island and a water bottle is not enough for the entire day or propose more water during the excursion. Other relevant point, mostly nowadays and with the Great Barrier of Reef next to Airlie Beach, please ask to the driver to stop the engine motor when it’s useless as it’s generating a lot of pollution (I note that the engine motor was on during 25 min). Except these two points it was a wonderful experience and we will come back !

This sunset cruise should be called The Cruise of a Thousand Photos, as I think that was the amount taken by the passengers on this amazing trip. It was a great evening when the sea was calm, the wind slight and the sunset mind blowing. Add to that a small, but attentive crew, a couple of iced drinks and some very tasty nibbles and you go home on a high. Brilliant cruise that I will certainly do again next time I am in town.

If you are thinking of booking this trip, you absolutely should! The moment we walked up to the boat, we just knew it was going to be a great 2 hour sail. The boat itself is beautiful and the crew are very welcoming. We boarded the boat and was handed a glass of champagne. We then sailed out of the Marina into the beautiful sunset. The food was delicious and well presented and the atmosphere was just wonderful. I will definitely be recommending Providence Sunset Sail to all of my friends and family. If I could give this trip 10* I would!

Don’t go in any other boat when you are on the Whitsundays. This boat has more character than all the others put together. Providence is friendly and not glitzy. The boat is classy and cool. The crew and top notch and friendly. We went out to Whitehaven beach. It is a full day event and all of it is great even though you are feeling tired at the end of the day and the trip home seems to take longer - you know you have really got your money’s worth. I highly recommend this boat. The others boats were faster and shiny - but this boat really gives the full experience. Do it! It’s worth it.
