*****Update**** Thank you for your response to my review, however as requested, by you, I have emailed you twice with no response from your end. Seems to me the response you gave was just lip service to give the facade that you are interested. Very disappointed with my second stay at this hotel. I stayed last September and the experience was very enjoyable. After this stay I am hesitant to return, dirty duvet, sheet, bed not made properly when I pulled back the duvet. Bathroom was so small the I had to maneuver around the door and toilet when opening and closing the door. Little to no counter space in the bathroom and the towels where so small that a child would struggle to dry themselves with them. I think what saves this hotel is location and the staff. Check-in was great, very friendly efficient staff. Dinner was delicious and the staff were amazing. After my long day travelling I just wanted to sleep hence why I didn’t make a fuss over my room, some of the reviews have also mentioned this. Please put more effort into the room cleanliness and you should make people aware that some of your rooms are small. As you do not charge budget rates people do not expect budget accommodation, do better Maldron as you are letting your customers and hard working staff down with these current fixable issues.

This is a great hotel. It's location is excellent if you are catching an early flight from Dublin Airport. However the best thing about the hotel is its staff. The two Indian gentlemen who were at the reception both the times I've been there, were helpful, kind and humble. Hope to be there again soon.

Great hotel within walking distance of the airport. There is a shuttle available should you require it. Bus stops are within walking distance should you want to go into the city. Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and a call + collect room service. The staff are very friendly and create a wonderful atmosphere.

Always a comfortable, clean room. Good heavy curtains for an international traveler. Iron and ironing board in the room. Wifi. Electric kettle. However, the reason I always stay at the airport is to be in position for early morning check ins for flights the next day. This hotel is a short walk across the street from the terminal if the weather is nice. Otherwise, the van drivers are excellent. They are friendly and helpful, and most importantly, reliable. I was provided with good information and help from a driver showing me the way to the airport walk in covid test center the day before my flight. The people of the Maldron are great.

The hotel is near to the airport which is convenient if you have a flight to catch. Apparently, there is a shuttle available at the airport, but we walked. In our case, we chose to stay there because we booked a car for pickup the following day. Check-in was a little slow for my taste. The good thing is you can check out online so that was fast. The room we were in was like in a subterranean floor. It had a musty smell and the humidity was high. Not very pleasant. Thank goodness it was only for one night. However, for the price paid which was 250 euros for a double room, it was not worth it. However, bear in mind, that hotels in Ireland are quite pricey. Our taxi driver said it's a shame that hotels are charging so much for rooms.

We arrived to the hotel after midnight. And ask a room for few hours because I have with me my daughter 2 months old. She didn’t feel well after long travel so I wanted her to rest before the flight. On reception night manager said the room will be cost 202€ even if it’s just g to or couple hours. I informed him that there’s 2 adults and 1 infant, he give us a room with 3 single beds, I don’t know what he was thinking for what an infant single bed? He even did not suggest us to get baby crib or king size bed that would be more suitable for us. The room was very far from the reception so we didn’t go back to change the room. We stayed in room only for two hours and all this 2 hours it was very noisy. The heating system was making awful noises so we couldn’t sleep. When I informed about it reception they just simply said that they are sorry and they will send maintenance. Awful service and experience especially we were with 2 month baby. And I want to mention again we paid 202€ for 2 hours to listen this awful noise. Don’t recommend this hotel.

The Maldron Hotel has a very convenient location and a helpful staff that made our COVID quarantine experience much easier. That being said, I give this hotel 2 stars out of 5 due to one thing, and one thing only, the kitchen. Never in my entire life have I eaten such poorly prepared food. We were able to try almost everything on the menu due to us being there for 5+ days and unable to order outside food. The pizza was abominable, with half of the pizza being close to thick crust, and the other half being extremely thin. The cheese was congealed and the red sauce tasted almost foul or moldy. This level of cooking was present throughout our entire stay at the hotel, and besides a few decent breakfast deliveries (Fried Eggs, Sausage, Hash-browns), the rest of the food was nearly inedible. BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich had no BBQ Sauce, the soups for lunch were disgusting (Some form of potato the first time, and butternut squash the second). Both were comparable to a solid jar of Gerber baby food. A Burger on one evening was essentially charcoal and extremely dry. The Maldron seriously needs to take another look at the Kitchen staff and the end product they are delivering to customers. I have tasted fast food that looks like a kingly meal in comparison.

I have stayed in many Dublin airport hotels over the years and this one is the best as it’s actually on the airport premises as opposed to a 20 min drive away. Check in was effortless and the staff were well informed and very friendly. It was service with a smile even behind the masks. The hotel and room was spotlessly clean which put my mind at ease. It was a short stay on account of an early check out. Food was very good and all of the bar staff were courteous. Special mention to Stephen at reception (I think he is a manager) he was able to give me lots of info to arrange a PCR test at the airport before my departure (which I left to the last minute) thank you Stephen. They also do park and fly but I didn’t use it on this occasion but again, given it’s vicinity to the airport and easy access in and out I would use it again in future.

Difficult place to rate. The food is great in the restaurant, it is very close to the terminals and the bed was comfortable. The bad news is the bathroom was tiny and the a/c "coldest" setting was 72F. There was no top sheet on the bed, only a duvet, so if you like to sleep cool you are out of luck. The room was well insulated from aircraft noise, but not from corridor noise.

Good hotel. Helpful staff at reception and at breakfast. Good breakfast-the tea in a pot served by the waitress was great (rather than out of a machine)-please let staff know this. The signage to find the room and to reception from the room needs to be improved. The threshold under the doors to the bedrooms although clean could do with with a fresh coat of varnish. Room was fine and very quiet.

A very good option, very close to the Airport. I have appreciated the cleanliness and amenities provided in the room. Very smooth check-in and check-out. Not giving 5 stars due the walls not really soundproof in the room, could hear other guests during the night. A bit expensive but worth if you have to fly the next morning.

As I do a lot of work in the airport, I stay at The Maldron quite often. Good service and rooms are decent for the price. Great location also. My only gripe is the restaurant menu which hasn't changed in years and becomes boring for the regular guest. Breakfast is great but please change the dinner menu! Other than that, a stay is recommended

My wife and I chose this hotel for its convenient location close to the airport. We needed to catch an International flight early the next morning. The hotel was modern and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom in our room was quite small but adequate. The bed was a generous king-size. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is very clean and beautiful. It's practical to go to the airport nearby. The staff is really nice and helpful. The restaurant inside the hotel has very good meals. It was a great experience. Thank you for your professionalism. I recommend this hotel.

This location is perfect for families or others with connecting flights. Most of the staff can be seen doing EVERYthing possible to keep the extremely busy hotel running smoothly. My family would consider staying here again if we are in the position of needing a place to stay with a connecting flight. Having said that, we were deeply disappointed by the online/in-person interface. We booked directly with the hotel (not using a third party) and did the B&B option for two nights. Upon checking in, which we had thought we completed also online, the reception person was having "trouble" finding my room. Once she finally asked for help, she informed us that we only had breakfast for one morning - we didn't question it at the time and we proceeded to buy coffee and have breakfast elsewhere while my son and his family enjoyed their breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. The following morning we had the breakfast and would recommend the self-service buffet to all that have a flight to catch. We had a later flight the next day and also added the $10 charge later but realized we did not need it and asked to have it removed when we checked out at the normal check out time. When we went to check out, we were charged for a breakfast we did not attend and a late check out we did not use and even the manager could not remove the charges. We did not want to argue with anyone and accepted the charges but it left a very bad feeling in what could have easily been a 10 star rating.

If you want to be close to the airport, this is one option. However, we were disappointed with our room. Small. And the bathroom was so small that the door would bang against the shower door when you entered it. Also, not set up well for charging your electronics. We had to unplug floor lamp so that we could charge a phone. Overall we were disappointed with this hotel, especially considering the cost. I would say that we did not a have problem with noise.

Hotel staff and their service was good. Room was clean also. Very close to airport. The distance between my room and reception was almost 400meter which is quite long walk every time you want to come out.

This hotel has a strange layout The rooms are even more weirdly laid out than the building itself. For example, the TV was mounted above the desk in a corner of the room while the bed was on the opposite corner but the TV was stationary so it was impossible to watch unless we sat at the desk. That said, every staff member was courteous and helpful. We were even recommended a wonderful dinner and evening out in a little seaside town which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We found ourselves unexpectedly having to stay in Dublin due to missing a flight back to the US. We grabbed a cab and the driver brought us to this hotel first. The front desk confirmed they had a vacancy but strongly suggested we book online. By doing that we saved around $20 and it was nice of them to offer. The room was very clean and even ready before check-in. The lobby is beautiful and clean with a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. We ordered a few drinks from the bar to take back to our rooms. Every single interaction with the personnel was polite and friendly. This was a very enjoyable one night stay and it's the closest hotel to the Dublin airport. They have a shuttle service that will help you get back to the airport in time to make your flight. The express checkout feature was extremely easy to use and a big time saver.

She'll do for an overnight stay before an early flight. The location is perfect. There's a regular shuttle from the airport, but it's a 5 minute walk around the corner to get to Terminal 2 at the airport. Rooms are a bit dim, no coffee maker (kettle and instant coffee are provided), and a little beat up - bathroom door had bubbling paint at the bottom and looked like it was rotting out a bit from moisture. There's aircraft noise, as to be expected... certainly noticeable but not super loud.

Lovely staff, however the rooms are quite small and room service needs to be collected from the bar. It filled its purpose but could tweak some things here to make it better. Proximity to the airport is good though

Conveniently located in walking distance of the airport. Found cleanliness somewhat lacking: Spoon for stirring coffee was a bit greasy. Side of desk drawer and back of desk chair was sticky. Maybe a thorough clean once in a while would help. Hard to find restaurant menu on web page - is it there? (there seems to be a lot of words regarding the dining experience and the history...fascinating, but of little relevance when one is hungry and wants to consider options)

My family and I stayed here overnight prior to flying to New York the rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great really good choice of items. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

We stayed overnight due to an early flight the next morning. Checked in on-line, which was new to me, but very convenient. Our room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, good shower and all the facilities that we needed, (coffee, hairdryer etc...). The bar/restaurant is superb, with attentive and friendly staff, a good selection of beverages, and a very good menu. I would highly recommend it!

Staff excellent, food excellent, room spotless, but sadly we may as well had been sleeping in the carpark the room number 364, was so noisy impossible to sleep there. The whole point was to stay over get a good sleep to be ready for a long haul travel to Australia flying time 22 hours you really need to get better windows in that end of the building.

It was a great place to stay for the night before leaving Ireland for the USA. Nice room. All facilities very clean. The food in the little Bar/coffee shop was good although a little pricey. Amazingly quiet for being so close to the hotel. A free shuttle at 0600 was really convenient.

Just a nice stay at the Maldron. The receptionist (Michaela?) was so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. The servers in the restaurant ALL were lovely!!! Great shuttle trip to the airport. I will be BACK!

The location can't be beaten, but the food in the bar is mediocre. Nothing to write home about. 2 beers and an average burger for €34. Rooms are quite small, and the bathroom in my allocated room was tiny. Breakfast is good. One stays in this hotel for the location. Not really much else.

Although I enjoyed the stay and other services, but I was not satisfied completely as there was no help with the luggage. I had 2 big suitcases and one small one and there were no one in the hotel to help me carrying them to my room. I was exhausted pushing the bags through the ramp to inside the hotel and then to my room after the long flight. Same happened the next day when I carried them back out of the hotel. I would have given a 5 star if this was there.

Location is perfect, with a bus every 20 mins or so to take you to and from the airport. Parking is very cheap if you need to leave your car while you travel. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with tea/coffee-making facilities. The best part is the food as both breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff were exceptional. Highly recommended.

Stopped in bar for a few drinks before a flight. Welcoming enough, once the covid vaccine passports were checked. Decent hotel bar, but excellent gesture of shuttle bus to airport after.

Hotel was great, the service was fast and efficient. The rooms were spotless and everything I needed for a one night stay for a flight in the morning. The bus service running every 30 mins is extremely handy but the airport is also easily walkable with bags.

I was satisfied with everything. the room was very big, the room was very warm, there was just everything one needed. the location was excellent as it is very close to the airport. I was also satisfied with the people who work at the reception with considerably kind and professional. and I was also very satisfied with the waiter , which served me a very professional approach. I greet Mr Hugh C and wish you all the best.

Hotel good but restaurant is a huge let down. Expect to stand there 10 minutes for their COVID check, eventually get seated while every staff member walks past you saying “be with you in a minute”, while never actually getting to you. Other customers have food but no silverware and had to chase people down for it. Note the place is less than half empty; and plenty of staff too. This is simply poor management and coordination. Sadly a huge let down.

Booked my mother to stay in Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport and I am so thankful to member of hotel staff Trevor(Tresor) for his amazing work and he was so helpful and understanding. He absolutely made our day. Hotel room was spotless, breakfast was so delicious and staff were so professional and lovely. Would recommend this hotel 100% , and most certainly WILL book again! thank you.

I've stayed here a few times before and after flights to/from DUB and have always had a nice and comfortable stay. The staff have been great each time and Jennifer was especially helpful while checking out this morning. My go-to at the airport as it's also within walking distance and it's nice to get some fresh air before a flight.

Pros: Friendly fast service, clean, comfortable bed, walking distance from Dublin Airport terminal 2 Cons: No hairdryer, face-wash, fridge or security box in the room Elevator was a little hard to find for 3rd floor. Heating wasn't working in the room. Expected slightly more for the price point but it was a relatively comfortable overnight stay.

Really nice hotel, and is on airport property, there is a shuttle service every 30 minutes, 24-7. I would definitely recommend.

Great location to airport, staff great and very helpful. Stephen helped us sort out parking and the shuttle bus. Perfect start to the trip, clean hotel and has everything you need.

Large sprawling hotel within walking distance to the airport with shuttle also. Ideal for a stress free start to your trip. Only minor comment would be that signage to the rooms could be better. Got lost twice in a short space of time.

Unfortunately the regular hotel I enjoy was closed. The nicest is the proximity to the airport within walking distance. For the price rooms are small, recently renovated with pleasing colour tones and open lobby. No USB sockets in the room, and plastic tumblers. Friendly staff but expect anything else.

  • 3/5 Jeannie N. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent beds, but reservations were lost a few times making check in difficult and their computers/printers (2) for assisting in printing boarding passes...both out of order. Very handy location to Terminal 2 however and the shuttle runs every 20-30minutes.

A very good hotel, few minutes from Dublin Airport. They do offer a very nice breakfast. The other restaurant is also good. Rooms are ok, it just needs more lighting (no roof lighting installed, only a standing chandelier with not sufficient lighting).

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be let down. A very good hotel, few minutes from Dublin Airport. They do offer a very nice breakfast. The other restaurant is also good. We stayed here as we were flying out very early one morning. Our bedroom was really inviting with a very comfortable bed. As a result we had a great night's sleep. The decor was calming which added to the wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly. We ate in the dining room and had a great dinner. Looking forward to staying the again.
