I
recently
had
a
harrowing
experience
at
the
Saudi
German
Hospital,
Ajman,
specifically
with
their
Pediatric
Department,
which
has
left
me
and
my
family
in
a
state
of
disbelief
and
utter
disappointment.
The
ordeal
that
unfolded
was
not
just
an
inconvenience
but
a
nightmare
that
continues
to
haunt
us.
It
started
as
a
routine
visit
to
the
emergency
room
with
my
son.
Little
did
I
know,
this
visit
would
turn
into
a
distressing
saga.
The
hospital
staff,
with
an
apparent
disregard
for
our
concerns,
insisted
on
admitting
my
son
overnight.
The
reason?
Vague
at
best.
It
seemed
less
about
his
health
and
more
about
filling
beds
and
billing
our
insurance.
Speaking
of
insurance,
our
provider,
Nextcare
-
Fidelity,
was
no
hero
in
this
tale.
Their
outright
denial
for
the
admission
request,
without
giving
us
a
proper
explanation,
added
to
the
chaos.
Caught
in
this
tug-of-war,
my
family
and
I
felt
like
helpless
pawns
in
a
profit-driven
game
played
by
the
hospital
and
the
insurance
company.
Hours
ticked
by.
We
were
stuck
in
the
emergency
room,
a
place
that
felt
more
like
a
prison
than
a
care
facility.
The
anxiety
of
not
knowing
what
was
happening,
coupled
with
the
fear
for
my
son's
health,
was
unbearable.
Every
minute
felt
like
an
hour,
every
hour
like
an
eternity.
The
indifference
shown
by
both
the
hospital
and
the
insurance
company
was
appalling.
It
was
evident
that
our
distress
meant
little
to
them.
It
became
clear
that
their
primary
concern
was
not
the
well-being
of
my
son
but
their
own
financial
gains.
This
experience
was
an
eye-opener.
It
revealed
the
grim
reality
of
a
healthcare
system
where
the
value
of
human
health
and
peace
of
mind
is
overshadowed
by
monetary
interests.
The
lack
of
empathy,
the
bureaucratic
indifference,
and
the
sheer
inhumanity
of
the
situation
were
shocking.
To
anyone
considering
Saudi
German
Hospital
or
Nextcare
-
Fidelity,
I
implore
you
to
think
twice.
What
we
went
through
should
not
be
experienced
by
any
family.
It's
a
harsh
reminder
that
sometimes,
institutions
we
trust
to
care
for
us
can
be
the
very
ones
that
let
us
down
the
most.
This
is
more
than
just
a
review;
it's
a
cautionary
tale,
a
plea
for
change,
and
a
hope
that
no
other
family
has
to
endure
what
we
did.
Remember,
in
times
of
vulnerability,
compassion
should
be
a
healthcare
provider's
first
response,
not
profit.
