Hello, I work with hotels a lot. And I’m usually very demanding. I came with my mom and we both enjoyed it very much! The rooms were renovated, the staff was very nice and doing their job very well. I truly enjoyed staying at the hotel. A solid 4-star hotel, very calm, and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach. Thank you!

Positives: The staff were all friendly, nice and had positive attitudes. Pool has a fun slide. Got a complimentary fruit basket which was a nice touch. Room was spacious and nice with a pool view. Negatives: Breakfast buffet was small and a bit limited but overall satisfactory. The beach was nice but views of oil rigs, pylons and plastic in the ocean ruined the vibe a little. Pool was very deep and therefore hard to lounge in. Sometimes hard to talk to the staff as the main language spoken was Russian. Overall I would say this is an average midrange hotel. Not spectacular but has enough positive features for you to have an enjoyable time.

I had the beach room view (not bad) however the guest service was really horrible and the hotel does not even deserve a 4 star. 1. There was no hotel concierge to waiting outside to receive the guests with the trolley to take luggage. 2. The lobby and common areas were too hot to even sit and wait to be while escorted to our room. 3. The light was so dark and dull. 4. To make it worse, there was no water supply in the washrooms or anywhere in the hotel from midnight till 4 am the next day and when I asked the reception they said they can't do anything about it. 5. I wanted some amenities at night and they said the housekeeping start work at 8am???!!!! Overall, the sea view was the only good thing about the place. Apart from that, there was nothing exceptional to make this hotel rated as a 4-star and to be priced at a rate per night similar to other exemplary 4 star hotels in close proximity.

This is not a 4-star hotel. 3-star, yes. 4, no. It’s really old. Everything is half-broken. Rooms are poorly lit. And there are 5 stores on the premises of a small hotel: jewelry, vitamins, souvenirs, furs and something else. That’s greed. The sea is dirty, you have to wash your feet with kerosene to clean them from oil. Yes, there is a giant oil refinery 2 kilometers away and a port. The hotel is remote, going to Dubai is out of the question really. The food is okay. Not bad, not good. The staff were nice. With a few exceptions such as a large fellow in a suit at a reception desk, quite arrogant, lazy and off-putting. Anastasia lady was of great help though! Another problem is waves. If there are small waves they put on a red flag and you can’t swim. Sometimes there waves for 6-8 days in a row. If they care so much why haven’t they built wave cutters? All in all, I’m surprised that people praise this hotel so much. It’s not terrible, but that’s the biggest compliment I could give it.

This is a perfect place to find peace after chaotic weekdays routine. My two kids had a great time in their well maintained pools and beach. The rooms are spacious and cozy. The view from my room was outstanding.I have stayed in many hotels in uae, saying that the way they have maintained their beach is commendable. Special thanks to Mr.Ahmad for his warm hospitality and helpfulness. They arranged a small celebration for my son’s birthday on request. Will definitely coming back!

I really enjoyed my stay in this place. The room was cosy and was cleaned every day. The swimming pool area and the beach are great. There are a lot of sunbeds, palms, a huge swimming pool and amazing view. The cuisine is delicious. Huge variety of food. The stuff is also very helpful, kind and polite. I highly recommend you to visit this hotel!

Since we are looking for a hotel that has a pool and a private beach, we did a good choice of staying here for 2 nights during the holidays. Our kids enjoyed the pool most. The staff are very accommodating and they even gave us macarons as a complimentary. 🤭😋Most especially, we booked for a very affordable price. 😁👌

We had a lovely experience at occidental sharjah grand. We commend all the staff for being hospitable, approachable, trustworthy and kind-hearted. All facilities were clean and easy to access. Our favorite part was the buffet. We were privileged to personally meet the executive chef, Maurice. He inspired my nephew to become a chef like him. Will definitely come back. Thank you so much.

This hotel is horrible; everything here is unbelievable, and no one respects the customer; here is the story: 1- I made my reservation before my trip for one and half months to make sure they would make all my request for rooms as we are family. 2- The reception refused to accept my requests because they say it depends on availability. By the way, I went to the hotel at noon (before 3 hours of check-in) to make sure the requests would be achievable ) but in the end, they refused to do it. 3- then, finally, my family reached the rooms after 2:30 hours of arguments for no reason, after a long trip. 4- In the room, I found the towels not clean. There are Brown dots, and I ask them to change them, but no one changes them until the second day when room service comes to clean the room. 5- In one room of my family, the water floated in the room and reached the bed and everything. 6- On the second day of the breakfast, they told us we should reserve breakfast from the application to get our table and food ready. I already booked the appointment at 10:25. The breakfast time is from 6:30 to10:30, goes what 😦 they remove all the food at 10:40, and my kids cannot eat, then they throw some frozen food for us not to complain. The worst hotel I have ever seen in my life.

The food in the hotel is very good, the choice is wide. The location of the hotel is super - private beach and swimming pool. The hotel runs a free shuttle to major supermarkets. Hotel rooms and cleanliness 6/10.

Hotel maintenance is really good. I appreciate the way they are maintaining the campus and all the rooms. Roam cleaning service is good. I specially mention the room cleaning by sohal is phenomenal and he is very much kind behaviour. Suggestion: I request management to take and provide some discount or any compliment if some one who stays long days in a hotel. I had a bad experience that non of my request has been taken into consideration. Also they need to make some arrangement to make the Indian food as well. I don’t see any Indian food has served.

It was excellent! The room was in great condition, great cleaning especially by Shahed who was super nice to us! They give a bunch of free tea and a bunch of water and it’s all very clean and very nice. The towels get changed everyday and if you want your room cleaned then it’s possible. Really kind employees.

Amazing service ! This hotel is the second I take in Dubai and I am so glad I booked some nights here! The service is perfect, they always asking us if we need something and are very reactive ! I like the atmosphere and the view is amazing! Good buffet with choice and good quality. I recommend :)

This is a nice hotel but it definitely needs some upgrades. The view was amazing, the pool was nice, and it's great that it was right on the beach. I also liked the fact that it was an all inclusive resort. The food was pretty good but after a while, I just wanted some pizza. The staff is very nice and helpful. The bathroom in our hotel room was horrible. It was very dirty, had a hole under the counter, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I felt dirty taking a shower. We had to ask for washcloths, which took hours to get because nobody understood what it was. The bathroom near the pool had an ungodly smell. I wouldn't stay at this location again because of the cleanliness and the location. It's actually very far from the tourist attractions. I'd recommend researching where you want to visit and the distance from the hotel. Sharjah is a very strict country. There's no alcohol allowed. If you want to drink, stay in Dubai. I'd recommend looking up the laws, you'll be surprised. I wasn't 100% disappointed in this hotel. The pictures are definitely from when the place first opened. If you just want a place to relax, go for it. If you want more adventures excitement, stay in Dubai.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While the location isn’t very lively, it’s not too far from the city centre, which is convenient. What really stood out to me was the exceptionally friendly service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was also quite good, with a variety of options to choose from. However, I did notice that the hotel could have been cleaner. There were some areas that seemed to be neglected in terms of cleaning and maintenance. One of the best things about this hotel is definitely the beach and the pool. It’s a great place to relax and soak up some sun. Unfortunately, there was construction happening right in front of the entrance, which was a bit of nuisance. If you’re looking for a room with a city view, I should warn you that it can be quite noisy due to the location of the hotel. However, when the city lights up at night, the view is simply amazing. Overall, while there were some drawbacks to my stay, the hotel does have its positives. If you’re looking for a relaxing gateway with friendly service, good breakfast, and beach and pool access, this hotel might be worth considering. Just be aware of the noise level and the construction happening nearby.

I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my stay - the hotel's location, the proximity to the sea and the well-maintained beach, the delicious food, the helpful bartenders, and the great housekeeping. I was extremely satisfied with the services provided by the hotel. The hotel itself was clean and pleasant, and I found the atmosphere to be very inviting. I would definitely return in the future. I also had the pleasure of meeting some very nice and friendly people during my stay. The surroundings were beautiful, truly a paradise on earth. Overall, I am very grateful for the experience.

Friends and I had a great stay. Customer service was outstanding. Breakfast was amazing and very fulfilling. The beach and pool are over the top. We stayed in room 516 and it was very cozy with an excellent view specially at sunset. We will definitely come back and will surely recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay here, great place and quite. The hotel crew is very friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Definitely will visit again, my new favourite vacation place. Totally recommended no regrets.

We stayed here for couple of days and loved our stay here. The beach, pool and the room was clean. The food was really good. Special mention to the dinner chef Mr. Nelson, who realized we were Indians and offered us to prepare some spicy curry on both nights. It was really good and very kind of him to do so. We will visit again for sure.

The hotel is ok. Construction is going here outside and in the rooms and nobody from reception informed us when we checked in. We changed few rooms as we tried to stay away from construction noise but no chance. Personnel is very nice, food is good, Chief in the kitchen is top class. Pool is smelling a little bit with chemicals but in general is good. Beach is nice and clean. Today found 5 cm beetle in the hall. Carpets on the floor looks never changed since hotel was opened

The hotel itself is not great but not bad either. Rooms are clean, big and comfortable, but the interior definitely needs a renovation. Staff is very friendly. Service is good. Stayed here for a week with a 8month old baby. Especially want to highlight the efficient work of the restaurant. We asked to make separate food for baby every day and they responded with no hesitation. Although they made the same every day :) Special thanks to Waleed A Zar, who was very nice and and very helpful , always there to assist and eagerly responded to every request.

I stayed with 2 other friends in this Hotel. First of all, I love how accommodating and welcoming the reception staff were. Mena the Duty Manager made sure that we were accommodated. I felt like we were VIPs. The room was ready before check in time. I would like to mention Fatih who took care of our luggage and was accommodating as well. The hotel is in perfect location with a spectacular view of the beach. The pool is great and pool staff are all amazing and helpful. The room is vibrant and clean and we got a room with balcony overlooking the ocean. This type of room, I absolutely recommend if you want to end your day with the sunset view. Lastly, I love the complimentary breakfast and everything about it. The food, the staff and the ambience. I will definitely come back.

Lovely hotel. we got a junior suit, that particular area was calm and peaceful. They had yummy lentils soup. Buffet has many options and varieties. Would recommend definitely. The entrance to the hotel isnt easy and you must be extra careful while u drive, as the visibility is limited due to the structure

We are a family and we had two connected rooms in the fifth floor (sea view) we really enjoyed our stay and the view. The staff are great, amazing, helpful, and always smiling. The pool and the slide were very memorable. The white sand beach and the sea were very clean and were the most interesting thing that we enjoyed in our stay. The kids club and the activities that they scheduled were very impressive. Special thanks to go for the front disk manager Mr Mena, and for Mr monir who takes care of our rooms every day. For sure will get back again and will recommend this hotel for others.

First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Mina for his warm hospitality and helpfulness upon arrival. He set a great example. The hotel is beautiful, and the swimming pool and beach are fantastic. The room is good, although the bathroom is outdated and not suitable. The staff is cooperative and always smiling. The restaurant is wonderful, and the restaurant manager is more than excellent. However, it is not suitable for those who enjoy evening activities as it becomes quite dull after 7 PM. Overall, it is a good choice for families and vacations.

One big plus is the sea. This is the only thing that does not raise questions. The hotel is surrounded by abandoned hotels and vacant lots. Pedestrian infrastructure is limited to a sidewalk along the sea. In general, the cuisine is not bad, but it is clear that they are saving money, which affects the variety. Half of the declared bars are not working. The rooms are cleaned normally, but they take away the bathrobes and forget to put in a full set of towels: we had to run around and ask for the missing ones. The reception is misleading, they say that lunch after check-out is possible, in fact it is not.

We liked the place. All personnel was really nice to us. Special shout out to Bharat in restaurant for being super friendly and attentive! We stayed there for little over a week. Wished they had more than one restaurant on site to be honest. Although food was pretty good and different everyday. Rooms were clean. There was some kind of construction going on but they made it seem as nothing to guests and it really didn’t bother anyone. They arranged the airport pickup for us. Staff was always quick to respond to all of our questions and requests which was super helpful. Thank you

My family spent overnight at Occidental Sharjah Grand & it was a wonderful experience. A great escape from our busy days. Everyone was just approachable. We made special memories. For this, thank you. What a beautiful environment to relax & unwind.. sea view, the hotel, the staff, especially Chef & Freddie of Al Meena restaurant make our stay so special. For sure, we will be back soon!

I really enjoyed being there with my wife for our EID vacation, the location of the hotel is amazing if you have a sea view room, you will be able to watch the swimming pool and the sea from your room window all day long (I liked to see the sunset and sunrise). For the prices it's fairly good even we went on a holiday time. For the services and room cleaning, it's perfect and in addition, the parking area is available almost all the time.

Loved the place, big rooms and sea view rooms are amazing with balcony, also restaurant staff and the Egyptian chef (Ahmed Adel) made sure we enjoy all our meals during our stay (8 months ago) Also prices are very good specially when compared to quality and luxury you get. We went there as family and took 2 connected rooms.

To say that this is a gorgeous place is to say nothing! Very polite staff, in the kitchen and on the beach. The rooms are cleaned very clean and every time after cleaning, 2 bottles of water are always refreshed and coffee refreshed. Pool and sun loungers are in excellent condition. If I didn't have to leave, I would have stayed for another week. Choosing this particular hotel for your vacation, you will not regret it for a second!

The hotel itself is fine, friendly staff, etc. Food is also great. The only thing I didn't really like was restrictions. 1. This is a really hot and humid place but the only place for kids, the water slide closes at 18:30, that is the beginning of the sunset. So the best time to go for slides with kids. 2. At 20:00 pool is going to be closed as well. As soon as it's going to be cool a little bit and you are about to start having some fun... 3. You are not allowed to walk seaside after 22:00 as the hotel is going to be closed by that time. Also not much places to have fun in the hotel. Table tennis maybe, that's all I guess. And the last thing I would like you to know, it is allowed to bring your own speaker to the pool or seaside and listen to any music you want. This is up to you if it's an advantage for you or not. For me that was a good reason of headache.

It was pretty fine: room was neat and tidy, there was a wet cleaning every day, some things didn’t work properly though it was fixed quickly. I really like to communicate with the staff via app, for me it was very convenient. My room had access to the pool and beach that was very comfortable. I wish I had a bigger kids yard, all rest was very good.

The Cabana was extremely dated, AC was very noisy, toilet leaked, bathroom door didn’t close and the room smelled. The food choices were limited and I found green string in my food! Tables said they had been sanitized but I saw on 2 occasions that people left, sign left there and only wiped down (if cutlery wasn’t used it wasn’t replaced). Many guests walking around and getting into lifts without face masks. This was not a 4 star hotel experience and I would not recommend it. Very disappointed with overall attitude of the staff but acknowledge that there were 2 that had the impossible task of trying to make amends. Customer service needs to be addressed and up keep of this hotel definitely needs to be looked into.

Over All i had great Experience with the facility and the dining at Almeena Restaurant, Princess is a staff in the restaurant that makes your day a lot better just by saying good morning sir,we did not get to see her facebecause of the mask,But the eyes is full of positive energy and the voice tune is full of passion towards what she does,,I work in hospitality for the last 15 years,Neber seen such positive ,Jolly and incredible stafglf. Chef Melenda the bakery chef such an amazing man,He treated my kids with love and respect ,attended to their needs went out of his way and cooked them Rice which was not on the buffet,,qll the staff in that place are amazing. Great Job The app experience,House keeping and room service in the other hand was not as great, Called room service 3 times at night ,No pick up Housekeeping did not responded to our request on the App,,Not even sure if they received the messges or not but that was the night before ,With Princess attitude everything went away. The pool is amazing but staff must enforce the No smoking rule on the people,Lots of kids in there and yet adults are smoking with no care.

It is a property situated at the beach front. I am really grateful for the warmed welcome of Mena and Mohd. I got an upgrade room with welcoming sweets. They gave a room with bathtub and balcony with comfy mattress that helped sleep earlier followed by all my additional request. I enjoyed walking to the shore of the beach and swimming at their 2.85m deep pool with almost 20m length or more. The food from outside was allowed, and safety was being observed on my stay.

The service is excellent, specially from the waiters and waitress of the restaurant. The cleaning service is also excellent and the cleaning room personal is so nice and efficient. The beach is good and the view of the rooms are good and beautiful. The food of the restaurant and the service at the desk host could be better.

My children booked me here for my birthday and I had a memorable stay in this hotel. The food here is very delicious and the staffs are very friendly. I would definitely revisit this beautiful hotel.

I liked the location, easy access to the beach. The hotel is clean and modern, would suite for families with small kids. Overall, it is a good hide away from typical over the top resort entertainment. I especially enjoyed yoga/ stretching morning classes with Bobby, as well as learning new dancing routines. The guy is very skilful in the variety of fitness styles. The was my second best pastime after the sea 🤗

We stayed here for a weekend and had an absolutely fantastic time. The beach is the biggest highlight of this beautiful property. The place is serene and perfect for families. The food is outstanding with varied selection at buffet and the team is warm and welcoming. My personal favourite restaurant is La Bamba which has a beautiful outdoor setting with delicious food and great personnel at service. Overall an amazing hotel with efficient team, good food, great service, highly recommended.

Everything was very good! Friendly staff, sandy beach, tasty breakfasts, some additional services like hotel’s taxi and transfer to Dubai were awesome! Only two problems appeared: 1. The beach is slightly thumbed with cigarette butts. A lot of people smoked directly in sunlounges and throw cigarette butts onto the sand. It would be nice to appoint one or two smoking areas on the beach. 2. Once very loud music started to play from the yard lately at night. Apparently, it was some celebration in the hotel's restaurant. It would have been better if it had not happened. And one more suggestion. It would be nice to have some container where we could place plastic and aluminum bottles for recycling.

Because staff, excellent care about customer, best services, everybody keep you caring like a home. Cosy and clean hotel and food? Never had more delicious!! Executive chef is awesome.

We stayed in the hotel in February, very satisfying stay overall. The beach is warm and clean. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. We'd also like to thank the waiter Bharat who was really nice to us. We have to mention a probleem that occurred during our stay however. One evening, after coming back from the city to our room there was a strong smell of cigarettes that would go away even though we aired the room for more than 20 minutes. After calling the reception they did send staff to put some deodorant around but that didn't give any answer as to who was responsible of the smell.

Front staff efficient and friendly who worked like a machine as well due the high number of guests. This means the hotel management is doing the right things. Of special mention is harun rashid at the front desk who was lending me hand in my various needs. Supervisor Mr. Media was helpful in recommending the time to take taxi for the airport, handle Covid test and all manner of needs during my stay. Sumith and Viktoria were helpful and courteous as well, like the rest of the front desk. The housekeeping and Meena restaurant staff were very courteous and pleasant to be with. This Occidental resort had a beautiful beach and environment. The tour of dubai area, available at the hotel was great. I look forward to recommend this hotel with the breakfast option, to my friends and family.

I was really satisfied with this hotel. Perfect private beach, where you can do some water sports or even borrow jet ski, these guys were really nice thank you for that. Lady at the reception was really helpful, she organized earlier check in for me after exhausting flight. Breakfast was great!

The hotel is located at the first line, quite comfortable to get straight into the sea. The interiors are quite cozy and the rooms are very spacious! Regarding the restaurant, it gets very busy during breakfasts but at lunch and dinner is much less crowded, food is decent and you always have a choice of roasted/steamed dishes. Also the desserts are very tasty! Hotel is very clean and this goes also for the rooms, special thanks here to Shiva who maintains a high level of professionalism when it comes to keeping the room clean! I will certainly come back here!

We spent a week at the hotel, a pleasant comfortable hotel, there are shops nearby within a radius of 200 meters to 2 kilometers, there are also good cafes nearby. There is a cool public beach and an aquarium not far from the hotel. Many thanks to Shohag, the room cleaner, for the fast and high-quality cleaning of the room, it was very pleasant to leave the room for 10-15 minutes than return to cleaned room. Friendliness and professionalism at the highest level!
