The pond and boardwalk are the highlights. There’s plenty of trails with decent mileage, clean restrooms, and a pretty good overall metro park. Taking a photo of the park map before you start hiking I’d helpful.

We were here for a friend's birthday party in one of the places to rent. Was very nice and clean. Price was very reasonable and we will keep this in mind if we ever need a place for a party. Room was spacious and kitchen was nice as well. Park was enjoyable too. 7/08/22 Did the trails here today. Was very nice and my daughter and I enjoyed it. Parcours exercise trail was fun to do! Pond was also great! Nice walkway across the water and was able to see a lot of toads and birds.

The rooms available to rent for parties in the lodge are great spaces. You can't beat the location either. Inside the rooms are spacious & gorgeous. There is a restroom to share & each room has its own restroom for guests. Picnic tables out in the spacious field are great if guests want to get outside. Plenty of room for children to run around as well. Ample parking & there is even a driveway leading to the door to the East room for unloading or loading. Cost is decent & a little cheaper on week days. Worth every penny for a special event.

A favorite for fall! Moderate, clean trails! A mix of unpaved/paved paths. Beautiful views of the lake, and lovely dense woods! Plenty of picnic tables by the entrance, and there are restrooms by the pavilion.

A large metro park with room for sports, picnicking, fishing, hiking, walking, and wildlife. There is a wooded area with a lot of trails to explore and a large grassy area for playing sports or activities. There is also a building that can be rented for private events. Public bathrooms are available. Please click the Like button if you found this review helpful.

A wonderful urban park with fantastic hiking trails. You can picnic and fish when the weather is nice, and sled and skate in the winter. There is a rental facility as well.

Had a little outing at the park, and the area was kept up well. Brought my 3yr old and my brother brought his 4yr old. Played kickball and threw the football. All in all was a good time and I will return. Would have given 5 stars the trash cans were flowing onto the ground around the picnic tables.

Nice park! A great variety of walking trails to walk on, although there is a tendency to not know exactly where you're going. I would recommend Strava or AllTrails for navigation here.

The Piney Woods trail is a quiet, winding 2-mile loop on mostly dirt (or mud, depending on how wet it is) surrounded by thick trees. Some hilly parts challenged my 5- and 6-year-olds, but we made it!

Clean and trails are well kept. Lots of grassy area for games, picnics, Frisbee, etc. Turtle pond is a nice little attraction with benches. About 1/4 + mile from parking lot. Great place for sled riding if you dare. 👍

This is a lovely park, not too far a drive from downtown, that has beautiful boardwalk through the pond's marshy side full of frogs and Red Winged Blackbirds, sports fields, and more! There are multiple wooded trails with varying terrain, and they all connect together, so it offers the opportunity to explore and vary one's path and difficulty while hiking or running.

Park is big. It has multiple parking areas and entrances. There is a beautiful pond. It would be nicer if there were seats beside the pond for people to sit, rest and enjoy the views too. We like to walk there to find the wild animals living around the pond like the pond turtle or the frogs. However, we don't like their trails. Too many small stones got into our sneakers. Very uncomfortable to walk. So we had to frequently stop to shake them out.

A great park to go hiking at, fish, or just appreciate local wildlife. The park is kept up with well and is a great addition to the fall and spring hiking sprees. Bring the kids and dogs too!

Definitely one of my family's favorite places to go for exercise in a beautiful place, with plenty of space to run and be free. There's always an abundance of wildlife to observe and even a few information boards posted in regards to the native critters typically seen by the water. Excellent little fishing spot there as well!

Beautiful Metro Park! Well maintained. Great place to stretch your legs hiking trails! If you just spend some quality the by yourself &/OR with friends &//or family..! In the winter, Kids of all sizes love to slend down the big hill at Good year Metro.. Burn-Barrels @ the bottom to go warm up during the Season. That's just 1 of the many Beautiful Metro parks.

Love this park. Used to hang out as a child here. Alder pond is beautiful. Great hiking trails. In the winter we sled ride down the huge hill.

Well the view at the top of the hill is majestic to say the least. The lack of signage on the trail heads. Makes it very difficult to navigate and find your way.
