Awesome shelter close to a restroom. Trails for walking are full of wildlife & beautiful nature. Walking through the Wildflower field is a treat if you love taking pics. Turtle pond is nearby & a great place for kids to fish.

Trails are wide and clean. I didn't see any trash other than a few bobbers caught in trees. Very nice this time of year.

Great park, a nice moderate sized loop! Unfinished trail, so if you go after it rains, bring appropriate footwear! Perfect for a stroll if you’ve got about a half hour!

I love firestone park! It has nice trails to walk but not too long. It also has a nice sized pond for fishing and you can frequently locate turtles and birds as you walk.

Really nice trails and scenery. The park facilities are well maintained and free of litter, dog waste, or other distractions. I enjoyed the observation area overlooking the water the most of all.

Nice trails to walk or run. Turtle pond has many turtles to see but seem to only be out more on sunny days. Also a fishing pond for ages under 15 but always see some adults fishing here. Some of the birds on the bridges come up to you looking for food so that was sweet!

A wonderful shelter for all types of gatherings. We had out Master Gardener annual summer meeting there and the facility was perfect for a group meal and meeting.

I love, love, love this park. The trails are fairly short but they all intersect at some point or another so you can make your hike however long you want. There's lots of shaded paths. The kids will love the turtle pond.

This is one of my favorite parks for early morning and late evening walks. The paths are wide and well marked, the views are calming and enjoyable, the opportunities for seeing a wide variety of animals is extensive. I absolutely adore this park. There a few restrooms on site that are handicap accessible. Parking is plenty.

Another beautiful Summit County Metro Park. Leaf color is starting to fade but still beautiful. This park has both the Tuscarawas River and what appeared to be a section of the canal towpath. We even saw what we think was a wild mink swimming. Lots of birds and ducks too. There's what looked to be a nice hill for sledding in the winter as well.

I thought this park had swings and a playground, but I didn't see any. Plenty of space for doing yoga and letting your pets run around.

Always love seeing the animals run around. Hearing the water trickle and run is the most relaxing park of the hike. Wonderful place to walk alone or with a love.

Great park to run trails in, it's about a 1.5 mile loop on the cinder trail, you can run further if you take the cross country trail. Large meadow to picnic or play games in.

Very beautiful trails here with lots of streams of running water around you and lots of plant and tree life. Lots of runners use these trails and they are mildly to moderately challenging. A great place to take your family for a nature walk. The bathrooms could use an upgrade. Nice Pavilion and benches and great parking lot.

It is absolutely beautiful here. The trees are budding as well as the skunk cabbage and a few flowers. Never saw as many frogs in one place as I saw today. And of course the turtles were done bathing. Really had a great hike.

I've always liked this place, especially when I lived just down the road from it. You can drag the kids out here in the winter time for some very nice sledding, though there are a lot of people who share that opinion ... so it might be a bit crowded. It's really good for a good long walk. There's also a small pond for kids to try to teach worms how to swim. Facilities aren't too terribly far away in either case, so it is actually very convenient.

Another great Summit MetroPark! We were working on the Fall Hiking Spree and we selected the Redwing trail as we wanted to hike a trail with plenty of shade! It was a very hot (90 degrees) day and we weren't prepared for a very long hike. The Tuscarawas area of Firestone MetroPark is where this trail is located. The trail is rated easy and is 1.1 miles long. It is mostly level with only one hill. In fact, if you wanted to bypass the hill you could. The hill is towards the end of the hike and instead of turning left, you could go straight and walk to the parking lot. The trail is very scenic and goes along the banks of the Tuscarawas River for a short distance. Little Turtle Pond is also along this tail. My son likes the boardwalk section the best. During the wet seasons, there is usually water under the boardwalk. The Tuscarawas area includes a shelter, sled hill and picnic areas. Most of the picnic tables are in shade. But they are spread out and some would take some walking to get to. In case you are carrying a large cooler.

Great place for a walk, with or without the dogs, on nice wide trails along woods, creeks, and a pond.

Firestone Metro Park is beautiful. It has a lake stocked with fish so children can learn to fish. It also has two walking trails. I took the longest one, Willow, and it is scenic. The trail is parallel to a river the feeds the lake. There are also quaint bridges that go over the river, as well. The Willow hiking trail was easy and flat. Anyone should be comfortable hiking it.

Beautiful trail for all. Lots of space on the trail, very flat for the most part and even a kids fishing area.
