    Worst Management and Managers ever. We have been here for almost 2 years. Golden Sands had a very nice management. But about 6 months ago, new management came and doubled our monthly rate :). Yet no improvements to any of the facilities, furniture, or room appliances. To be asked to pay a premium for something which is as old as the building, not thank you. With 5,500 AED you can go to FourPoints which is just next to Golden Sands. Better quality, luxury, and not overpriced for no reason. Overall disappointed with the new management. They have no sense of doing business, nor respecting those who have been with them long term. But i guess :) they just don't care otherwise they would have agreed to meet in the middle and still be at GS. Very Disappointed.

    The best thing about this hotel is the location other than that don't expect more. In the reception there was a lady who told me cleaning the room will take one hour and half, are you serious?!! unless if I pay 185 UAED I can check in immediately. Please a little respect for your costumers Without manipulating be straightforward. The story is too long to tell...... In general if you're going to Dubai, I don't recommend this place: 1. Unskilled costumer service just ask for an Ice it will take them for ever and you will get the one in the Pic. 2. Old furniture So, you can get a better place with the same price and better costumer services.

    We stayed here twice already and both stay is really bad. On the first stay, check in time took us almost 30 minutes as well as the check out. Toilet bowls are not properly flushing. We give it a try again thinking that maybe that room only has a problem. So we booked the second time around. Still check in process is slow and check out as well. It took us almost 1 hour to check because they said something's broke in the room. How can someone broke something when we all did was stay and sleep? Overall, it is a very poor service.

    I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. They’ve made my holiday such a rubbish stay. First of all the reception staff we’re rude. My room card stop working everyday and the security staff did nothing but stand there all day. Different people who didn’t stay at the hotel walked in and out the hotel which is not safe at all. The guys who carry bags and welcome guest were nice and the room cleaners were ok. At this point they’ll need to spend money on customer service training. The food was disgusting and I found a Cockroaches in my toilet. How disgusting I complained and all they did was changed my room. The rooms smell of cigarettes. DON’T stay here guys please you can find a better place For exact same money. Also there’s no shuttle bus to train station or main road. If you’ve been Dubai you’ll know there’s a lot of walking around. So it’s important to have shuttle buses to and from main points. Golden sands 5 what a load of rubbish.

    Me and my boyfriend stayed for 1 week at this property. Even though we had to change the room after the first day as there were many issues, overall we had a relaxing, satisfactory vacation. The Housekeeping team is great, as well as the Fitness centre guys, always having a smile for us. Special thanks to Karim for his kindness. We would come back.

    They will never return your security deposit,they will make any argument to take your security deposit, staff was arrogant especially their hotel manager Mr. Pavel he will treat you like servant. In my case they did not returned my security deposit by arguing that we were smoking in the room, while they have provided ashes try in the room by themselves. Not recommended if you are smoking and searching for value for money option.

    Huge delay in Check in. I dont know the logic why they are not serving water daily. Cooking area is very small. Other wise room is big with sofa and table for working. Most advantageous thing is the balcony

    Rooms have all amenities and spacious. However sometimes I was getting, cigarette smoke in room even though I was not smoking which was a big negative. Service is fine. However do note when you ask for double bed they may combine two separate beds and then it may not be suitable in case you are sleeping in center (my personal experience). Bathroom sleepers available only on request. Only one water bottle for complete stay, so do buy it from near by markets. Same Wifi works in complete hotel and can order food from outside. These are positives.

    We stayed here for 15 days. They should keep good and new cutlery as presently they are old and smelling. There were issue of leakage in the bath room which they repaired. The lock had always problem !! key does not work properly. House keep staff is very co-operative and good service and they keep rooms clean.

    This is a fantastic place to stay in Bur dubai, near to all amenities, the burjuman metro station station is bit of lemghty walk but if the weather is nice you can walk fir 15 mi minutes to reach it. A grocery store is nearby . Fully equipped room with kitchenette and washing machine.

    The discounted price offered in booking.com was good. The value of the room was worth with the price. But it was bit dissapointing when suddenly the electric power supply was interrupted and it took them around 30 minutes to put it back.The cleanliness is alright, though there was a water leakage on the bathroon everytime you flush or use the bidet.The adapter also was bit off since when it was used to plug in the hairdryer it short circuted😣.Over all had a quiet stay.

    Very Nice & Clean apartment. Housekeeping people are lil bit slow but available. Rooms are big. It is well equipped with Fridge, Washing Machine, Toaster, blender Microvave, all essential utensils. Iron & Iron table is also available in room. Energy is very positive here. I can feel happiness all the time. And about the room tarrif, it is veryyyy resonable according to the location in dubai with all these amenities. Gym is very nice. And swimming pool is very well maintained. I am staying here from last one week and thought to share my experience so written this review. I hope you like it and will write a comment too for this property according to your own experience. I would like to thanks the Golden Sands Staff who made out stay blissful. But i request them to be lil bit faster. Thank you.

    First we are very old guest and secondly they never listen and cleaner are very rude and do talk behind us. Towels are so old and linen is all old torn and when asked for new ones it is only given to vip guest.

    I stayed with my mum and kids at golden sands 5. The staff, room, service, amenities are all excellent. Staff named EDEN is very helpful and always ready to help even at midnight. She will go out of her way to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The room will have all the amenities kettle, washing machine, iron etc etc. Pool, gym are all cleaned on daily basis. Even if you ask for a bottle of water at midnight room service will bring it within 5 mins. Each and every staff from security guard to service desk to front desk is ready to help you and make your stay comfortable at golden sands. One of the best hotel appartments. Thank you Eden for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and thank you for being such a humble and polite host.

    We spent 13 nights here from 17 to 31 July. - Reception: Check-in is not an easy task, especially if you have arrived after a long journey from your home country. It took us almost 30-odd minutes at the counter. The check-in procedure is super old-style. - Room: For the first 4 to 5 days, whenever we returned from outside in the afternoon, we used to find a strong cigarette smell in the room. After we complained, it miraculously disappeared from the 6th or 7th day. Was someone smoking in our room? This mystery remains unsolved. - Services: 1. Unlike a few other hotels in the vicinity, this hotel does not offer shuttle services to the nearby metro stations. The metro stations (Sharaf DG - Green Line / Burjuman - Green and Red Lines) are super close by vehicle but no so close walking. Since we had to take the metro everyday, we either had to walk in the deadly heat until the nearest bus stop, wait, and then reach the metro, or we had to spend 12 AED for the taxi each way. 2. A basic amenity such as water was not provided daily. They provided one bottle for the entire stay. This policy defied logic as well because you got one bottle regardless of the length of stay. Therefore, technically, a couple staying for 10 days was getting 150 ml per day, whereas a couple staying for 3 days was getting a sweet deal of an entire tank of 500 ml per day. A few other similarly priced hotels in the vicinity offered water everyday. 3. Room service was good but not exceptional. - Breakfast: The buffet had plenty of choices but the long-term variety could be improved. We had almost the same menu for the entirety of our stay but we did get to choose something different everyday. Except for one or two waiters, the restaurant staff was very polite, helpful and generally going out of the way to make guests feel comfortable. - Amenities: The rooms offer an excellently sized bed, fairly light-proof curtains, plenty of storage albeit outdated and needing improvement, good water pressure in the bathroom, well functioning refrigerator and washing machine, cutlery and cooking equipment and stove, iron board, iron, clothes drying rack, outdated television, working table, sofas and a safe. - Internet: Is great. Fast and reliable. HOWEVER, 1. The wash-basin in the bathroom had a faulty sink-plug. 2. There was no way to switch off the refrigerator. Our refrigerator made a strange gargling noise throughout the stay and we could just not switch it off despite not using it. 3. The story of electrical plugs is quite strange. The only electrical plug in the room was situated in the most inconvenient corner at the far end of the room near the dustbin. It seemed as if the engineer surveyed the room for the worst location for an electrical plug and put it there. Even the WORKING TABLE HAD NO ELECTRICAL PLUG! The TV and table lamps were HOTWIRED! So, if you're wishing to charge your phones / devices or use the laptop on the work table, make sure to bring a 3 to 4 m long extension board. 4. The furniture is ageing. 5. If you are used to sleeping in a pitch dark environment, this is not the place for you. Even though outside light can be curtained off, a safety light inside the room remains switched on preventing the room from going fully dark. 6. Get the pillows changed. We used to be so tired that we did not feel it and by the time we did, it was too late to change. The pillows are bad! - Location: Describing the location is tricky. It is neither inconvenient nor convenient. It is located not too near the closest bus stop, and certainly not a walking distance in hot summer to the nearest metro. The "supermarket" right across is only good for buying water and some basic stuff. Another supermarket which is right opposite the closest bus-stop (3-4 minutes walking) is much better. Price-wise: I think the price ranging from 50 to 70 USD a night is worth it for what is being offered but if you get something closer to the metro, it would be far more convenient, unless the hotel catches up with the competition and starts offering shuttle services.

    So I stayed there for like 11 nights and it was my first experience as a solo traveller, I absolutely enjoyed my stay at golden sand 5. The Front desk management team is super helpful and friendly they make sure to meet your expectations in every aspect. It actually felt like home although I wanted to stay for longer but I had to come back for some reason. I’m really looking forward to stay at this property in future. Wish I knew their names so that I can mention them and thanks one more time. Thankyou so much❤️

    My friends and I spent a wonderful vacation in this place, we were satisfied with everything. the hotel is comfortable, the rooms are clean, the breakfasts are delicious, the staff is polite. I especially remembered a young man, an Egyptian, Hosam, who served us in the restaurant. He was very attentive to my needs and provided me with excellent service. and his charming smile set me in the mood for the whole day. I sincerely wish him a successful career.❤

    Stayed for 4 days. Was a pleasant experience. Friendly staff, nice service, good restaurant. House keeping not upto the mark. No daily water., which is a cheap gimmick by golden sands management. Soap and shampoo not replenished daily unless asked for. However, the front office, porters, restaurants etc have excellent staff and service. Value for money. Has parking, swimming pool, wifi, room service etc. No spa.

    Great service with a smile, great location and excellent rooms! We are coming back to this establishment where details are not looked over. One recommendation is to put on the website that UAE identification or international passport is needed for all guests for check in. Otherwise they cannot check you in!

    Well, i was really excited for the stay but sadly couldn't make it. Due to an emergency in my family. And quiet disappointed by the managment as to what are they charging me for. When i have not even used any of their services. I know its a policy of non refunding when the money is already being paid. But i am not asking for the full refund, a small amount of it would be really good.

    1. Best location, just 12 min walk from Bhurjaman Metro station and Mall 2. Eat street is just 13 min walk from the place 3. I stayed in serviced apartment and every thing was in great working condition 4. Staff was amazing and always happy to help 5. Great room dining menu and its 24/7 6. Local grocery shop is just 1 minute walk from Hotel Reception 7. Near by 2 medical stores 8. Approach to hotel is easy and clean while you walk or come by a cab

    During our recent vacation in Dubai, my mother and I stayed at the Golden Sands 5 Hotel Apartments for 5 nights. The location is ideal to access souks, malls and activities in Dubai. We had such a pleasant stay. It was useful to have the combination of both a hotel and self-catering experience in one room. Overall, the staff provided excellent service and helped in anyway possible to make our stay comfortable. Nitu Sarkar, in particular, is one of their exceptional employees because she continued to be proactive, perceptive, warm, caring and friendly in assisting us.

    I really love this hotel its nice and the rooms are very neat. But its far from the metro station so you need to ride a taxi or when its winter you can just walk for 6 to 7 mins from ADCB metro..

    In my short stay at Golden Sands 5 was amazing. Rooms were clean, friendly staff and service was very prompt . I want to say a huge thankyou to the management and team as I was very unwell and alone and they helped me and never left my side. Your compassion and concern never went unnoticed!!     The location is a little bit confusing when going with the taxi the staff are nice and welcoming . chandan offers us to set up the room for my birthday last nov 14 and its a overwhelming thing for me the room is big and has balcony the only thing is that if we cook even the exhaust is on it will alarm . But all good bec there is near grocery store and spinneys is just a walking distance around 5 to 10 mins walk... they have 2 loc for the pool as well one at the 1st floor and 1 at.the roof top

    My name is Mr. Subesh Gupta from INDIA. My Apartment Booking was 17th Jan to 25th Jan. You have charged my credit card 300 AED security money which is around INR 7,055 when i was checked in time. When I checked out from the Apartment you had charged my cc 2400 AED (INR 51,684). You said that my SECURITY MONEY will be refunded in 7 days. But still I didn't see any refund on my credit card statement. I request you to REFUND my 300 AED money as soon as possible. My Total Bill was 2400 AED Golden sends 5 Building. Please check and refund my money.

    A bit overpriced for the facilities and ambience offered. All units come with a kitchen and thus great for anyone who loves home cooked food while travelling. The place is close to many Indian restaurants. Fairly well maintained.

    So I arrived at this hotel and only then I realised I made a booking for the same dates in nov instaead of October. The hotel had plenty of rooms available yet they weren’t allowing me to move my dates. They charged me an exorbitant rate which was more than double. I had already arrived at the hotel and didn’t wanna go looking for another hotel as also I mentioned this hotel address for my covid test isolation. I had to pay a lot. Hotel room was outdated and old. U would think after the hotel charged you twice the amount, you would have your requests met. I requested for a king size bed and I got two single beds joined together. A corner room where the balcony faced a wall. In the 10 days that I stayed, not once were the pillow cases, bedsheets and duvets changed. The staff were polite. Room and furniture old, tv doesn’t have enough English channels. Gym was in their other property of Golden Sands 3 which was a great gym. Wasn’t given breakfast despite paying so much. The hotel is pretty far from the metro station. There’s a supermarket and an indian restaurant around. Otherwise just residential buildings!

    My last stay was great here but this time they cancelled my reservation at last minute and only gave option to take bigger room on higher price. Later on they tried to help. Overall I am satisfied with their service 😍

    Maureen,Faith & Xyaka were fantastic at the reception!Quite effective,helpful and super friendly.Breakfast was great too however more variety would be great.the room was beautiful!we enjoyed the pool and will be back in a few weeks!

    Its area is not bad but there is nothing to enjoy as a tourist. You need about 12min to get to the metro so you can go to the usual preferred places in Dubai. The service is good Housekeepers are good and kind. But the smell is awful .. I kept smell spices everywhere in the hotel. In general the hotel is good but doesn't deserve the price.. It's too expensive

    I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 13 years probably 20 times, the hotel itself is located in Bur Dubai & is in a great location close to restaurants, infact there is an indian restaurant just across the road, close to 24 hour convenience stores. Mcdonalds, KFC & pizza hut all within walking distance. staff are always polite & helpful. The room is always clean when you first arrive The gym has been updated, there's plenty more free weights, resistance machines & cardio machines. There are 2 outdoor swimming pools, one on the first floor which has steps and is shallower and the other one is larger & is on the roof of golden sands 5. 24 hour restaurant on site which also provides room service. The rooms are cleaned daily. The only downside & in my opinion could do with a little improvement is the buffet breakfast, it's a little boring with the same limited choice every morning & largely focused on the Indian cuisine. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Dubai.

    I had a worst experience there, the receptionist will not clearly discuss that visitor are not allowed before get the payment and there's no option for extra person. Bad customer service too. Definitely not recommended. If there's is lower than 1 star that would be a rating for this Hotel.

    It was a nice experience with the hotel and services. we booked a studio apartment here. It was spacious and neat. daily room service cleaning and the lady from Nepal Ms.Devi is very friendly and her service is too. she always asks us every time we need anything more. Feel like a home🥰 The only thing the restaurant has is to make more food items and to make them tasty too.

    Hotel doesn’t have proper communication system. They even do not mention email on website for some request, there is only one form and on that if you submit request then you will not have proof of communication and they simply deny that they haven’t have received communication. Also the staff and managers are neither courteous nor welcoming. Even at the level of hotel manager Mr. Mehadi doesn’t know how to host the guest. They just like if you want to stay and eat then do we don’t care else. Very pathetic hospitality.

    Reception staff was very good and helpful specially Dacid from Uganda and a lady from Goa,India.Breakfast was included in my package,throughout my stay I did not heard any arguments with any customer in canteenI seen a Keralian manager was very helpful,specially keep places tidy.I recommond if they make further more varieties will go further more in rating.

    I will never book again in my life , ii have booking 10-19 july , i seen first hotel in my life they have policies visitor not allowed ,, they didn’t mention on site , agoda didn’t mention on site , they took full payment on booking , when u check in they inform, i m still here in property, they have policies on we understand, i m trying to cancel my booking they r not ready to give refund ,, so very bad experience

    We rented the hotel apartment and we really liked the room, it has complete amenities and we had a relaxing stay. Staff were nice and accommodating. It was a weekend during our stay so maybe that is why it was a bit difficult to connect to room service and reception but once we get to talk to them the service was quick. We also find it a little difficult to locate the hotel since there were a lot of golden sands around the area. Overall i liked the place, room price is not that much, would definitely go back.

    A nice and cozy self catering apartment. Not too modern but staff still have old world charm. Convenience store and ATM IS very close. Taxis are a bit hard to hail but than again there is always an Uber a short distance away.

    Stayed in this place for 3 nights and won't regret a bit of my stay. Nice and very quiet facility, affordable studio apartments have all the must amenities washing machine, bread toaster, storage lockers etc. You get an option to get breakfast @35 AED per person, if you directly make booking from hotel, which I did not take, however, its a good deal.
